45 this morning and headed to 60 today. Last warm day for a while.

Hopefully the cow pin is dried out enough to get the tractor around in. Before the freeze thaw cycle starts back. Mud is deep everywhere cows in places are going to their knees. Hard for them and me to walk. Ground starting to firm up. Hard on tractor also as front axle isn't supposed to drag the ground in those spots. :). But it does.

Otherwise it's back to chicken coop maintenance and taxes.

Speaking of cows;
I redid my cow feeder to get them out of the barn. So now their heads are in the barn while eating, but they stand outside. WOW, I did not anticipate the mud and standing muck! I will pour some concrete this summer for them to stand on while eating.

Life is strange. In 1988, I was working in the Quad 4 plant in Lansing, Michigan. When they canceled the Fiero, that pretty much killed the plant, we were scheduled about 50K units per year for the Fiero. We never knew why it was canceled. We had a turbo Quad 4 Fiero at the plant, and I got a chance to drive it, it was awesome!!

That engine was interesting. The blocks came from Germany, the heads from Italy, ( Castings ). The engine was extremely well built, but too expensive for the market that it was in. We put most of them in Grand Ams, but when they started offering the V6 as a $500 upgrade, it shut our plant down. The base was a Iron Duke 4, no upcharge, 500 for the v6, and $1100 for the Q4.
It was one of 4 engine programs I worked on that were canceled. I think GM in those days was going in too many directions at once.

I would love to have the never built '89, PM me sometime about the drive, sounds like a blast! Wife had an '88 Grand Am with the 2.0 turbo Brazilian motor, it was quick, not much low end torque, it was only 160 h.p.

Good morning! 56˚ heading to 66˚ North breeze.

I'm still working on my perimeter trail on the east fence line. Yesterday was all hand work from side and top encroaching limbs and brush on the trail. I'm at the pond wash out and will need to do some dirt work to minimize the 4' drop-off from the erosion last spring so the Yamaha golf cart can pass over. I put some side rear view mirrors on the Yamaha so I can keep track of Whipper and not turn into her as she runs wild during our excursions.

I'll be out there with my phone so I might post a few working tractor pics.

I'm tying a made up recipe in my dehydrator. A 3 ingredient cracker: cinnamon, dates, ground flaxseed. It should be done in 20 hours.

Kyle, kale chips sound ugly but they do not taste anything like raw kale. The spice/cashew/red pepper coating makes them crunchy and the taste is like nothing you have experienced before. Don't dismiss them too quickly.

Math question of the day: If I take a time lapse video while driving around the perimeter trail how many minutes will the movie be. 1 frame per 8 seconds, going 4 MPH, and trail is 3 miles.

A quick guess. 5.625 minutes. .75 X 60 minutes X 60 seconds / 8 seconds / 60 seconds.

Good Morning! 38F @ 7:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. High 44F. Winds light and variable.

Good luck with the roof repair, Kyle. Is it still watertight, or are you worried about rain?

Don, need to know the playback frame rate to answer your question.

18 minute wait when I called about the missing switch yesterday, so I started a chat session instead. Five minute wait there, and at first got the New York brush off. Got passed off to Customer Service, who agreed to send a replacement. Glad that's over!

Dug out the conduit in four spots, finding two breaks. Still one more to find as I still can't pull out the antenna wire.

Happy Hump Day!

Good morning,
Currently 27 and snowing here in SLC. Not supposed to amount to much 1-3 inches.
I'm getting a new snowmobile today, excited to try it out Friday. I'll ride it stock this year and turbo it for next year. Well, at least that's how I see it. My wife might not see the value in 100 more HP.:D
