Nope, just giving the hustler Z some breathing room, and for me one less thing to maintain.

39 going to 52 and rain.

David, your dogs look very comfy...our son lets his boxer on his couch...imagine her surprise the first time she jumped on ours with me standing there...we don't let our dog on the furniture. So, she jumped down and promptly went to our dog's bed and took over instead.

Buppies, remodel sounding good. We have a bathroom we want to remodel...probably tackle it this spring.

Yes, RNG, please come back.

LOL, ours are actually pretty good. That is THEIR loveseat, the only piece furniture they are allowed on other than our bed. Not exactly sure how that works as they regularly rub against the other two loveseats.
Funny thing is that when we have guests, 9 times out of 10 they sit on the dogs' loveseat and then "marvel" how attentive they are. LOL

Some of us might be annoying others, not a perfect world.
Several of us are very wordy. I'm a frustrated college professor I think. For which I apologize if I am up on some kind of soapbox, probably a mental dais of some kind...For the record...years ago I asked if this was a problem and was told no. Just no politics (I have to tell you I cringe now every time I open up cnn.com and see the headlines...RNG, you aren't alone in being concerned) which belongs you know where, if your skin is tough and you like a mosh pit atmosphere. No one wants that here. This is a place we come to say hello, electronically shake hands, and talk over coffee, all day long. We share our accomplishments and sorrows.

I have learned an incredible amount from TxDon here on better eating habits,
and constantly wondered what the world looked like through Mostly's goggles whizzing along
or through RNG's windshield as he goes through some mountain pass.
And who could forget RS's building the Eiffel Tower, the long progression of welded gizmos
which he built into all kinds of things. One year we worried he was going to freeze, next year we worried if his commercial building's
pipes were going to freeze, and I think his explaining what he was going through really helped others.

I also remember reading this thread on a laptop when my wife spent almost 200 days in the hospital, and I got through it by
distracting myself with dreams of vegetables growing and machinery to run. And how early Roy was getting up. And whether he
got to work ontime due to the ice, which I was very glad I wasn't driving on. And I'm sure David/Sodamo felt the same way.
And whether David/Mossflower would smile again, which he sure did, as he weathered
the pain of a divorce with kids. And living with all those women...such a lucky man, even if his snow plow truck is on its last legs.

Over time you learn a lot here. Some of the big posts should probably have had their own threads. Ok.
I try to contribute by posting pictures and perhaps when I get it right making a picture with words.
that's hard to abbreviate...

I blame my verbosity on not owning a smart phone. Never had to text, never had to abbreviate. LOL...

Oh, we should avoid religion too...religion and politics really do stir up the works. And our coffee has already been stirred...;)

RNG, open that chromed lever of knowledge you have...drops of weather aren't enough.

Weather? you bet. But the other stuff is better...as long as the owners don't mind us eating up terrabytes, and the OP doesn't mind, I think the diversity in this thread is what makes it last. And be the biggest I think. Although discussions of motor oil must come close. Men and their motor oil. Even bigger than Green vs Orange.

'

Can I add "amen" without being religious? :)

Good morning to tractor lovers of all nations. Haven't checked the thermometer this morning, although I don't really need one to tell it's a good few degrees below freezing. I will give the sheep a little longer to sleep in on the circle of ground they warmed up overnight before I disturb them.

Through the window I see a tiny wren that has just flown up to perch on the fence. It must be wondering where to look for breakfast when everywhere is frozen solid. Maybe if I share a little of mine, it will keep it going for another day.

47 and foggy going to 56 and then the big rains come in for a couple of days. I've got a few outside chores to do first.

Eric, we feed "our" wrens mealworms. They love them, as do the juncos, mockingbirds, bluebirds, and white-throated sparrows. I hope you are not sharing mealworms as your breakfast, but then again, I have never given them a try. :)

Buppies, I think a paving trade for a restored F-150 sounds like a good deal.

I read some of the Today's Jokes thread over on The Front Porch yesterday, and laughed out loud for 10 minutes.

57 in fog going up to 64 with rain coming in this afternoon and basically on and off heavy rain all weekend.

speaking of going big....what was in front of our local Kubota dealer yesterday but a new Kubota M7-171, the biggest tractor they make, and clearly going after the commercial farmer. Yeah, those tires are BIG. Their M5 hasn't moved, but they now got in two M7's. $150K tractor.

34 heading to 48 today. Going out for breakfast with my wife then puttering in the garage with maybe a trip to Harbor Freight later.

33 right now...heading up to the low 40's...which should melt the rest of the snow on the drive (after 25+ years, the asphalt drive isn't too flat any more...there's a crown which I'm sure wasn't there when it was laid). The snow blower does a great job, but it does leave a covering of snow on the lower areas of the drive. I'm too old and too poor to think about spending money on the drive.

Bank run and a haircut is the plan of the day. Might take my wife to the store later (probably tomorrow though). After that...probably putter about.

48 out this AM, warm and drizzling. Is this mid-January?

Road trip today, need to move cars around. Yesterday I was sitting at a light, stopped, and this newish Dodge Challenger decided to pass me on my left, crossing the yellow dividing line. She did not make it, took a hit to my driver side rear bumper and quarter area. She kept on going so the damage was her passenger front light to the real wheel well on her car. Not sure why she did that move or why she kept moving after she hit me. It was a slow speed crunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Sigh.....

Enjoy the day all.
