32 outside, man it was almost, almost 70 yesterday. That was crazy. Then the winds came along.

One of my outbuilding that is under renovations, a milk house, the concrete floor was leaking wet with the weather change. It has drains so the water condensation moved to the drainage. But, WOW, never seen concrete "sweat" like that. What is one to do to prevent that? More air movement is the only possibility I see?

Morning , I have not seen anything good about it yet. -8 F outside and house is popping and clunking, have electricity this morning but did not Friday Morning . Roads covered with ice and traffic running at 5 mph. Schools closed, Wind chill advisory , This is one of the days the bottoms of my shoes freeze and will not bend to walk and my coveralls fell like 1/4 inch plywood when I thaw out the zippers standing by the wood stove so I can get them unzipped. My plans for today are to make a continues circle to the wood stove, bathroom ,coffee pot then to the recliner over and over.

Sounds like a good plan. Just dropped to 22˚ here, the coldest it has been in 20 months.

We have 14 above right now with a high of 20 for the day. At least the wind is down. Put a radio in the tractor yesterday. Plays great and just plugged right in. Got it on ebay for 168 bucks.

The longer range forecast thru third week of Janurary. West coast turning cold Midwest battleground for stormes mid Atlantic mild very mild. The cold is trapped up north and will not drain down like it's supposed to leading to a zonal pattern in air flow. Snow hounds in the east will have to be patient a while longer. I am afraid that our winter will happen in the spring cold and wet. Christmas Day convertible weather this year

The lady bugs will wake up again I hope the stinks bugs stay away

Today bring pickup load of sand home for the driveway... some icy Set a spell mid afternoon at old country store.maybe search internet for antique garden tractor for winter project or take the day as it comes.
