Good morning!!!!

Good Morning! 54F @ 8:15AM. Sunny. High 73F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

We've had another low pressure area drop down from the Arctic, perfect timing for the first day of fall. But it'll be back to near hundreds by the weekend, perfect for finishing up that paint job on the van.

Well Don, if you were looking for the owner's manual for a Ford car, they're available free here. But the tractor is a different story, and every place I found has their hand out. Amazon has one, and displays a picture, so at least you'll know what to look for over at your Dad's place:
Ford 261 361 411 461 Tractor Operators Owners Manual SE426: Ford / New Holland: Amazon.com: Books

Makes you almost look forward to winter to try out that new blower, eh Roy? :confused2:

Drew, the Ariens log splitter I have came with a Subaru engine. Ten cords later it starts on first or second pull and doesn't leak, and seems to have plenty of beans to get the job done.

Got the door jams painted on the van yesterday, but strong wind forced a late start and the clear coats went on with the help of a flashlight. Can't wait to see what it looks like this morning. Hopefully no runs or other problems that don't show up at night!

I'll take advantage of these brisk temperatures to pick up some of the wood that was scattered over the back yard by the inmates, and try to smooth out the dozer ruts as well. Then off to town for groceries and other errands.

Good morning all. 68F and clear and calm this morning. Has been very hot here Monday and Tuesday, the temps backed off a few degrees yesterday and DP is now less than 70F ! :cool2: High today forecast around 91F HI add 1-3 degrees. Had a bout with either food poisoning or rota virus starting Monday night  The big difference is how long they last, no nausea today means food poisoning, rota last 3-8 days  Bought a truck in STL, Pics when I get it, probably next week when I am fit to travel.

Don My wife and I bought glasses from costco and after only about 3 years mine seem to have worn out. They don't work as well anymore. :) We have been pleased with our glasses and will go back, when I get around to it.

Won't be checking in tomorrow but you guys have a great day. Ed

Thanks for the reviews on Costco glasses, there were as expected 5 star!
Ed three years with the same prescription, you are doing good. My glasses take a beating and I need replacements about once every year and a half.

I went all the way to harbor freight in Austin to return the 8" limb saw that I did not even open on that limb I used my regular chain saw on.
I took the wrong harbor freight receipt so it's back in the country. I found the right receipt - that pole saw is getting a lot of miles on it.
When I bought it they wanted my phone number in case I lost the receipt, but since I get soliciting calls every day I do not like to give my number out when asked. This is one time I should have to save a trip. I bet if that checker knew this she would be laughing now.

had to wait for several hours for tractor trailer to show up so I put it to good use. Cleaned the inside of the Kubota's cab, windows, floor, the whole thing.
Then I installed some new zerk caps I just bought, having been recommended on one of these threads. They work nicely and are very cheap. The bright yellow reminds me where all the hidden ones are. Then put an overdue coat of cleaner wax on the tractor; the FEL arms definitely fade faster than the hood. And lastly I got my CC lights working and adjusted the carb. Still raining lightly, another .25 inches today.

That's never pleasant. Hope the new truck cheers you up.

On the odd occasions I had food poisoning and had a good idea what food caused it, afterwards I find it almost impossible to eat the same thing again for a long time, even if it was previously one of my favourites.

Good morning. Weather is looking very good for another outside day today.

Next time it rains I have a new router (the woodworking kind) to get familiar with. I loaned my old one out a while ago to some lads who were making cupboards for test fixtures . It obviously doesn't want to come back, probably because they keep treating it to new cutting bits, so it's time for me to move on and just be glad that it found such a caring new home.

Should be a sunny, hot first full day of fall -85. But will get a taste of the 50s Sunday night.

Went to auto parts store to get struts for my wife's car...wow...$800...and they had to order them from a nearby store.

Then to Home Depot for some lumber, plywood...just as I was getting in line to pay, a thunderstorm hit...so not wanting to get the lumber wet, I shopped around and picked up some miscellaneous items and drooled over some of the shiny new tools.

Eric, nice attitude on loaning your tools...can I borrow your Iseki? :)
Mostly, hope you are feeling better today.

61F on/off shower until late morning, upper 60's for high and were going to get real good feel of temps all weekend long. :cool2:
Finish weed whacking last evening:dance1: sooo I think I'll keep real low profile at work and hands on clock passes quickly to 4pm.

Enjoy the day all.

Coffee is done brewing. 63° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with cloudy skies. No plans today. Grass has not growing as much with cooler nights and shorter daylight times. But will try to get it cut before it gets out of control again. Then start winterizing the motorhome.
Good Morning All.

Drew sports drinks not good for diabetes kubota looks nice

Wngsprd might see some upper 40s in mountains

   / Good morning!!!! #50,114
Thomas, any snow up there yet?....
Mostly, so sorry, hope you feel better soon. Like being seasick, just an awful feeling.
72 going up to 81 today in more showers around noon. Helper is coming in right about then, and I think I'm going to lose
my raker. Lot of debris on the lawn, like high water marks on the beach.
I might be able to get a little mowing done this morning if the lakes in the lawn have gone down.
Lawn is high from all the rain, once again trying to keep ahead of it.
And David/Sodamo is galloping for home. Probably won't want to see a airport again for a long time.

Buppies; [I said:

what about the diet ones? or does the artificial sweetener trigger the same responses?
I buy the diet blue stuff and mostly the helper drinks it.
thanks, hood came up better than I thought. Some elbow grease and cleaner wax did the trick.
Now I hadn't done it in several years so it really needed it.
Most important was cleaning the inside, too much spilled coffee, at least no french fries...did find a missing hitch pin behind the seat.

Has anyone bought eye glasses from Costco? My wife ordered a pair and we will see today if they did a good job. The price for progressives was $180, which is less than the Mall places.

I know its too late, but if you know all of your info, I got progressive glasses from Zenni for $56 delivered to my mailbox. You have to measure your pupils' distance from the bridge of your nose, and of course, all your other prescription info. I got 2 pair of simple prescription for my daughter for $56. Oh, and my glasses are over a year old and the lenses are far more scratch resistant than the "scratch resistant" lenses from lenscrafters.

Went to auto parts store to get struts for my wife's car...wow...$800...and they had to order them from a nearby store.

rockauto, I usually find parts for roughly 50-60% price of local parts stores.

My complaint about Costco. Not very scratch resistant. My last glasses were from Walmart. Much better scratch resistant. Will have to try Kyle's choice next time.

Just brush up on your millimeters and have an old pair of glasses to measure the frame size. You can plug all this in to have Zenni show you the results of frame choices in your size.

Almost everyone I know, when they get new progressive lenses, has to undergo a "training" period to get used to them.

64 this morning and headed to 90 today.

Hay's all in and I'm out of room. Might have been able to hold another dozen bales but that's it. Have lots of gravel to get spread today and some mowing to do. Will try to finish concrete forms and order concrete today. Need to make some phone calls about the bin.

Thomas I try to hide som days but the boss always seems to find me. She has my number I guess.

Mostly get better. Look forward to the truck.

Drew. Nice job on tractor. Only see one problem. It's too clean. If you're up for it I know where there's a Kubota that could use a bath. :).
