Good morning!!!!

Roy, that's one serious setup, very impressive, particularly like the light up the night rear LED light bar.

73 going to 81 in what, more rain...another half inch this afternoon.
Have to take the grapple off the tractor this morning and put the forks on; tractor trailer arriving this afternoon with a
new walk behind leaf blower I bought as an early Christmas present for my fireman helper. He has now mentioned about six times how much he
likes my old blower that I had converted to a tow model, so I'm going to surprise him with this. Two years ago I got him a set of tires for his trailer; his were bald.
I think it will go over well and be a good surprise. Didn't want to wait as the leaves are starting to fall already. Yes, I know, a bit much, but this is what I do. No kids, no wife, not taking it with me...

And why if I have an emergency or urgent need, he'll stop what he is doing and come help. Keeping my farm team happy. Plus I'm negotiating with him about a monthly maintenance price so I admit there is a little method to my madness.

Studied all the blower models and called the local Billy Goat dealer. Three calls went unanswered, including leaving a message. No return call.
Well, I tried...off to blowerdirect.com and in three days the blower is here. They didn't collect sales tax which makes me wonder when the tax man will someday show up with a 20 year bill. Smaller model with 269cc Subaru, but powerful enough for the jobs my friend has. Subaru was same price as Briggs. Honda models very expensive and I can't imagine operating a blower with a V twin Vanguard pushing it, like a powerwasher, sometimes too much is, well, too much.

More rain coming in, tomorrow also. Then some cooling off.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 60° cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with possibility of a thunderstorm. Little too warm for first day of Fall. Need to get a few little items cleaned up. Then back on porch for some relaxing.
Txdon, I must be a slacker. No info on the symbols.
Roy, nice tractor/snowblower.
Eric, that muffler should have been replaced years ago.
Good Morning All.

Good morning all, 60 this morning with patchy fog, going to 80. No chance of rain through next wednesday. Hope to get the grass mowed today and get the car gassed up for tomorrow. Still planning to go on a quick trip to Mt Airy NC, Mayberry, to see friends and poke around a bit. Takes 3 hr's to get there and we need to be back tomorrow evening for home group that meets here so we plan to leave at 4 am. That's a pretty normal time for me to get up so should not be to bad. Our friend, James Easter of the Easter Brothers has a music store next to snappy lunch. Might have to get my wife to teach me how to post pics after this.

Eric I got married in 1977 too but a car wreck in 1980 ended it, my wife and I have been married almost 18 years. Was going to buy a muffler for the MF 255 I had back in the 80's and it was $50 some, put a straight pipe on it. Wonder why I can't hear now.

Roy Looks great, Wish it would work on my 310.

Have a great day Ed

Ed, have fun on your trip.
buppies, are you drinking sports drinks? Something about 2am to 3am for major leg cramps that would send me either into the hot shower or the hot tub. Fifteen minutes in the latter always did the trick. Do you have microwaveable heat wraps? Not the one use types, the cloth ones you heat up (or make cold).
Were you on your feet a lot yesterday?

second cup of coffee calls and time to get moving. Y'all have a good day.

Good morning! The cool front that came down Tuesday finally brought the morning temp to 68˚ but it backs up this afternoon and it going to be in the 90s again. Clear skies.

I had a good two hours of FEL work yesterday moving excess graveyard dirt. Thats the grave dirt that won't fit back into the hole because of the coffin.

RS, Gray2 just looked at the scorpion he did not touch it - smart cat.

Has anyone bought eye glasses from Costco? My wife ordered a pair and we will see today if they did a good job. The price for progressives was $180, which is less than the Mall places.

Hopefully I can finish moving hay today. Will take most of the day.

Followup on mowing with hedge trimmers:

The 5-7 foot embankment from the county road to my fence is too steep and rocky to mow. Weed eating takes forever. So I tried the 56v battery EGO hedge trimmer and that is the correct tool. I just cut all weeds and brush at about 2' and it just looks like I have a short fence but I can see oncoming traffic without pulling into the middle of the road. The county said they will mow it and I am still waiting - that's been two years ago.

Wife got her glasses at Costco last time she needed them and liked them. Will be getting my eye tested tomorrow and will be going to Costco to get my glasses.

Safe trip, Ed

Drew, I think you have a great approach with your team.

Don, I admire how well you take care of your parents, great job.

50 now, likely some rain today.

Don, wife and I both get our glasses from Costco. I got three pair recently (one for everyday (bifocals), computer glasses (spent my days working in front of computer) and since they had coupon, sunglasses the same as my everyday). I had never had prescription sunglasses before, it is nice to be able to read sitting out in the sun by the travel trailer... The everyday glasses have the transition (darken up when outside), but the sunglasses are even better.

RNG, did your ex-wife put you to the test and ask you to choose between her and yet another bike ? :)

Actually, I'd purchased an R80 G/S, BMW's first "adventure bike", the one that started the craze, and had intended to refurbish it and present it to her as a gift. It needed far more work than represented by the seller, and time ran out before I could finish.

No Eric, at the end of the day, the choice she demanded was between her and my health and sanity. :pullinghair::confused2:

Eric, $15 sounds like a great price...not sure they sell anything for my Kubota that inexpensive.

I once bought some pivot pin bolts from my Kubota dealer; I think they were only about a dollar and a half apiece. And another fifty cents for the nut. Then I found out that Tractor Supply sells hardware like that by the pound (that's weight, Eric), and you can buy an awful lot of bolts'n'nuts for a doller like that.

You know the cheapest thing on a tractor, right?

The owner!

Not an entire pair of glasses, Don, but the lenses I'm using now were obtained through Costco. Got off to a bit of a rough start with them, when my frames came back, one of the wires holding the nose piece on had been broken off, but they reimbursed me for the cost of the frame and I got another. The lenses have been very good (they are also progressive), and when a red hot BB from the welder damaged one, they replaced it free of charge.
