Roy, that's one serious setup, very impressive, particularly like the light up the night rear LED light bar.
73 going to 81 in what, more rain...another half inch this afternoon.
Have to take the grapple off the tractor this morning and put the forks on; tractor trailer arriving this afternoon with a
new walk behind leaf blower I bought as an early Christmas present for my fireman helper. He has now mentioned about six times how much he
likes my old blower that I had converted to a tow model, so I'm going to surprise him with this. Two years ago I got him a set of tires for his trailer; his were bald.
I think it will go over well and be a good surprise. Didn't want to wait as the leaves are starting to fall already. Yes, I know, a bit much, but this is what I do. No kids, no wife, not taking it with me...
And why if I have an emergency or urgent need, he'll stop what he is doing and come help. Keeping my farm team happy. Plus I'm negotiating with him about a monthly maintenance price so I admit there is a little method to my madness.
Studied all the blower models and called the local Billy Goat dealer. Three calls went unanswered, including leaving a message. No return call.
Well, I tried...off to blowerdirect.com and in three days the blower is here. They didn't collect sales tax which makes me wonder when the tax man will someday show up with a 20 year bill. Smaller model with 269cc Subaru, but powerful enough for the jobs my friend has. Subaru was same price as Briggs. Honda models very expensive and I can't imagine operating a blower with a V twin Vanguard pushing it, like a powerwasher, sometimes too much is, well, too much.
More rain coming in, tomorrow also. Then some cooling off.
