"Update on nose still looks like I've been in a fight and no feeling due to nerve damage but healing slowly"

Takes little longer to mend the older we get now. ;)

In my ever ending quest for knowledge the eye is the fastest healing part we have the nose the slowest

Drinking first cup of coffee. 66° with overcast skies this morning. Heading to 82° with rain in the afternoon. Both doctor visits yesterday generated new appointments. Oh well. Since I am retired, what else is there to do? Not much planed for today. Good putter day.
Txdon, good luck with the fish fry.
Kyle, good load of tools.
Farmer, Ed and Kyle, wishing the best for your kids.
Buppies, hope your nose heals sooner than later.
Drew, nice pictures.
Good Morning All.

That four wheel drive system was developed by a firm owned by the inventive tractor designer, Harry Ferguson.

Good morning! 71˚ and still too dark to see the sky. The skeeter fogger came out last night from town to give the field a once over, so we had to quit early, will have to make up the time this morning. The hour by hour forecast shows a 40% chance of rain at 1PM and less after that. Winds are calm now and will be from the North at 4mph giving us a high of only 86˚, about 20˚ cooler than previous years.
Potatoes are on the stove everyone that comes to the potato pealing brings there own to peel. More tables to move as the cooks move from the station too the picnic grounds, garbage cans to line and parking to be roped off - it's getting close to being ready.

Eric my Dad's first tractor was a Ferguson, he still has it, but it is not running.

working on orchard today, mostly redoing the mulch rings at the bottom, and then I'm going to water all the trees. Getting dry.
2 inches of rain so far this month instead of normal 5.

Do you like the blue RNG ? :) The FF version had a permanent 4 wheel drive, something I thought a revelation (this would be late 1960's), as at that time I did a lot of pushing of my dad's much more humble car in the snow. There is a tractor connection too. That four wheel drive system was developed by a firm owned by the inventive tractor designer, Harry Ferguson. !

There is a Jensen interceptor locally around here. I've seen it a few times. Rumour has it that it is not very reliable, spends a lot of time with the mechanic. I think it has Lucas electrics. Ferguson tractors were used by Sir Ed Hillary 60 years ago to drive from Scott Base to the South Pole. Currently there are two Fergies of the same vintage (and a MF5600) driving down the country for 2012 kilometres which is the same distance Ed did from Scott Bast to the Pole. They are raising money to repair Hillary's Hut which now needs quite a bit of maintenance. While it is Winter here the drive South will not encounter any ice or snow.

58 and a bit of fog right now. Low to mid 80's for the high.
Chores...definitely mow the grass and, maybe, the field. After that, we'll see...

Good morning all. Pleasantly warm, little wind and apart from the dew, all dry at the moment - hope the weather is as kind for your FF day Don.

I can't think of the letters FF without still drooling, not over a Fish Fry, but over a car that I always fancied, well before I learned to drive. The Jensen Interceptor FF was a rare beast on our roads (I only ever saw one), but a real beauty if you like that sort of thing.

seabee, better luck next time !

Boy, haven't seen a Jensen in decades! Beautiful cars, but the huge rear window did put some folks off. I liked the front 3/4 view...but the rear view just wasn't as cool (for me, at least). IIRC, these cars had Chrysler 383 or 440 engines in them.

Nice car and ahead of it's time.

It would seem to me that the perfect vacation for a British or European car enthusiast would be to jet over to America, rent the biggest gas guzzler of their dreams, and only pay about .04 pounds per litre for fuel to cruise around the country. Just make sure you stay on the right side of the road.

Have a great day all!

74 this morning and headed to 91 today. Rain passed by last night just close enough for us to get the wind. Destroying the canopy I had over the saws. 20% chance of thunderstorms so I left it up.

Off this morning with a buddy to a local gun shop. Largest gun dealer in area. Maybe state. Then back to do I don't know what, yet. :).

Eric nice car.

Farmer, our prayers for the best with your son.
As said, wealth of info online, but you need to weed thru it. Helped enormously with our granddaughter last summer. Fortunately, we had the advantage of observing her 24/7, quite a difference than her home environment with both parents working, school, after school programs etc. Additionally I think I think folks like Kyle and Ed are valuable resources willing to help.
Do be aware that many of the school/public decisions are going to be budget driven.

I believe you are correct. That's the reason the school denied the service in the first place. They don't have that person on staff and would have to bring in an outsider. Which they admitted to doing in the past. But with a diagnosis if they'll fill out the correct paperwork the state will provide extra money to the school to cover the cost.

My wife substitute teaches, last yr she worked one on one with special needs childs. They put them in the regular classroom but give them a dedicated teacher. They try not to do it though, because of cost. She really enjoyed working with the ones she had last yr.

Got Done what had to be down on-site, still have 4-5 hours of consulting left do if no additions to the list. Mowing, bike ride(none so far this week) and billing on TMA list.

The weather is holding up, now only a 15% rain chance. Partly cloudy, no visible thunder clouds. It is hotter than predicted but that comes with Texas.
The picnic ground finishing touches are complete, lunch break, nap, then volleyball and horseshoes start at 2, FF at 5:30 and Auction at 7.
Looks like it's going to be a big night.
