Good morning!!!!

Gave my old JD 301A to my son-in-law. My new Mahindra 3540 needs the shed space. Was going to haul it 60 miles to his home. Got up at 5:45 to the sound of thunder. S-I-L to arrive about 7-7:30 when it starts to get light. Pouring rain and lots of mud at daylight. Finally at 8:30 the rain paused so texted son-in-law to come on over here. What's a little mud except slippery, dirty, and wet? Son-in-law arrives an hour and half later at 10:00. Granddaughter's school calls 10 minutes after he arrives to tell him she is sick. This project was doomed from the word go. I will have to rent the trailer again later on his next days off cycle in 10 days. The Mahindra will occupy the carport for a while longer.

Would love to come to the fishfry, sounds like fun.
When i was young and in 4H, my mom ran the 4H food stand at the county fair. Lots of work, but i enjoyed it.
We missed our VFD carnival this yr, we were away for most of it. We like to eat there, good food.
My neighbor work the foodstand.

Farmer, thoughts and prayers with you.

My great nephew, just turned 3 had his 2nd eye surgery yesterday. Infant glaucoma.

prayers sent. Ed

some pics I've taken recently.
One neighbor has the most beautiful landscaping with crepe myrtle and other flowers, just picture book. All the crepe myrtles are blooming now.
And equally colorful are the last of my peppers, which are now growing like mad since the potatoes are no longer blocking the sun. The little orange and red ones are not hot, little sweet peppers for color in salads. Lastly, the tobacco is beginning to be picked. The local guy has the world's oldest equipment, with a lot of manual work involved; about the opposite of a modern combine, but then maybe tobacco has to be handled extra carefully.

Don, best of luck for your fund raiser this weekend! May the Weather Gods be with y'all.

Ed and Kyle. Thanks. I know you all are going through the same thing, and that helps. He has his own personality that's for sure. Doesn't have very many triggers. Large crowds or people getting in his face. People on tv fighting or arguing and frustration from a lack of communication. I was hoping for them to help us figure out what type of autism it is, but they didn't. Just a broad diagnosis.

Buckeye thoughts are with your family.

Drew. Nice pictures. Interesting about the tobacco. Way different than the way we did it growing up. This must be for a glue or fire cured system. As we harvested the whole stock and put it on sticks. From harvest to sale each stalk was usually handled about 12-15 times.

Farmer, our prayers for the best with your son.
As said, wealth of info online, but you need to weed thru it. Helped enormously with our granddaughter last summer. Fortunately, we had the advantage of observing her 24/7, quite a difference than her home environment with both parents working, school, after school programs etc. Additionally I think I think folks like Kyle and Ed are valuable resources willing to help.
Do be aware that many of the school/public decisions are going to be budget driven.

Good morning all. Pleasantly warm, little wind and apart from the dew, all dry at the moment - hope the weather is as kind for your FF day Don.

I can't think of the letters FF without still drooling, not over a Fish Fry, but over a car that I always fancied, well before I learned to drive. The Jensen Interceptor FF was a rare beast on our roads (I only ever saw one), but a real beauty if you like that sort of thing.

Do you like the blue RNG ? :) The FF version had a permanent 4 wheel drive, something I thought a revelation (this would be late 1960's), as at that time I did a lot of pushing of my dad's much more humble car in the snow. There is a tractor connection too. That four wheel drive system was developed by a firm owned by the inventive tractor designer, Harry Ferguson.

seabee, better luck next time !

Good morning all. 69 his morning going to 90 with fog this morning. Going to a Car show at Expo Land (county fairgrounds). Won't go in just hit the used tool vendors outside. It is about 10 min from here. Don't know what else I will do today, feel like a truck ran over me. The joy of lime, wife not feeling great either.

Don Hope you sell out of everything and have a great day.

Have a great day Ed

My cousins restore British sports cars for a living some fine vehicles they have turned out but no Jensons to date. British cars have some of the best lines ever for a car manufacture. Healy blue being one of my favorite colors

73 going to 91.

Was extra hot yesterday on the tractor spraying during the hottest part of the day.

Ed, hope seeing some nice tool deals will make you feel better...if not, go inside, I'm sure some of those classic cars will, but I bet they won't have a Jensen.

Seabee, sounds like a nice thing you're trying to do, and hope it works out.

They say when you meet one person with autism, that you met one person with autism. Each are different. From what we have learned you have to learn your son and work with what you have. We have not found any help with understanding our boy and how to help him. I guess the big thing is meeting people that have it much worse than us. Like the guy that came to our house and said, Sorry I look so messy, I spent the night sleeping on my son so he would not run away. We have it easy. Ed
