Good Morning! 65F @ 6:00AM.
Plentiful sunshine. High 93F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Almost nine hours of utter craziness on route 95, no major accidents, but dozens of complete stops in the middle of the highway, ribbons of cars and trucks for miles.
Nothing like a nice car to take some of the edge off horrendous traffic. But the only real cure is getting back to your oasis in the country, eh Drew?
I thinking of getting a case of Trump Tonic and Hillary Hooch from Avery's Beverage and put them in our VFD fund raiser auction and see which one gets top dollar. That will be a fun bid to watch.
Fun idea, Don, but frankly, neither sounds particularly appetizing. Just like their namesakes. I fear most of us will be holding our noses in the voting booth this fall.
Well Mom got home today around 3:30. The Dr. had no idea what was wrong with her so he sent her home. She was laughing and telling jokes and appears back to normal. I just wish we knew what it was that was wrong. she was out of it and did not know when they slapped her in the face to wake her last night. Glad she is home and laughing again.
Great news that your Mom's home again, Ed. It would be better news if the doctors knew the cause of her episode, but that's just how it works out sometimes. Is there an alternate hospital she could go to if there's a next time? They're not all created equal.
The fella that had the malware attack got back to us and admitted that it didn't come from our web site. Then went on to say that he's pretty sure it came from a page of results returned by our search engine, but couldn't swear to it. That's very unlikely, as the search engine only returns results from within our web site. Regardless he's unwilling to accept responsibility for his own actions, and our scans show that the web site is clean. But he has yet to make that admission on the mailing list he used to cry wolf, and now other users are making up all sorts of dooms day scenarios about how our web site could infect them. All of those complaints are coming form known malcontents that have been finding reasons to grind the axe for years, none of them members that can take advantage of the information and events available through the club. Sour grapes; people cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Cleaned up some mounting holes and sanded a few missed spots on the van, so this morning I'll do a final wash and start masking. With a little luck I can get it masked tomorrow, shoot some primer Thursday, then sand and mask on Friday, then paint and clear Saturday. That'll take care of the interior, and I'll be able to start all over again on the outside. Talked briefly to the mechanic about the heads, and he's aware of the problem but doesn't know what to do about it yet. Sez he needs to check to make sure he ordered the correct head gaskets (I already checked and he did), so we'll just have to see what he comes back with.
Enjoy the day...
