David. Sorry for your loss.

Watched a show the other night. It was about the wealthiest presidents of America. If you adjusted for inflation 'ol GW would be the wealthiest by far. Forget the numbers but I'm thinking his wealth was either 1.5 or 2 times second place. Most of the first presidents ranked highest. The older our nation has become the poorer our presidents.

A beautiful morning
My little boxer girl, Pele's heart gave out about 10 minutes ago. She passed quietly and peacefully, just after greeting me good morning with her tail a wagging per usual. She was a good girl, had a great life.

Sad for your loss. I will bet she had a great life, keeping y'all company. It's tough losing a loved dog.

Good morning. Woke up this morning to my wife nudging me to listen to the radio. It seams the people have thought about it and the majority decided it's never going to work out, so we will regrettably have to start divorce proceedings with Europe. Why ? Simple really. Who decides the laws we live under was an issue for some, however the main issue that swung the arguments for and against was a difference in view between politicians and the people they are supposed to serve :-

Most politicians in Britain did not want to leave Europe. They thought any population increase from being forced to always accept unlimited numbers of people to come in from Europe was a small price to pay for economic prosperity. Most people in Britain didn't really want to leave Europe either. They don't mind some migration, but the prospect of it always being unlimited was too high a price to pay and an unsustainable way to grow an economy.

I ran out of diesel without realising until I saw all the air bubbles coming out of the nozzle. Rang yesterday afternoon and the tanker driver turned up at 8:30 this morning with another 1,000 litres of diesel to feed the Iseki. Great service.

David, your boxer sounds to have been a great companion, I am sure she had a great life with you.

Wonder if you will have to deal with a war, like here in the states now that you are seceding from the union. Ed

Good morning all. 62 here this am going to 82. 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Going to rent an ozone generator in the storage units to get rid of the musty smell today. If the rental place has it as they said. Rained all day yesterday, don;t know how much. weather station is still in a box. Have a great day. Ed

70 going to 91 today, with more showers possible. Heavy rain and lightning last night, bet we got at least several inches of rain. Which means I don't have to water today, yeah.

Will spend part of day cleaning out travel trailer and then I'm headed over to the sunflower field. My neighbor stopped over, the one next to the sunflowers, and he is thrilled seeing them come up. I used my Gravely pulling my DR rototiller and it worked wonderfully going between the rows. They are wide enough usually to get the tractor in there but am trying to avoid the tractor tire ruts; soil is pretty soft.
I still have about half the field unplanted so wondering what to do with that. My neighbor suggested potatoes and here I am trying to reduce carbs...no. I already planted plenty in my raised garden. But then I give away most of this stuff anyway and everyone likes potatoes.

What can I plant in that half acre to provide a cover crop of some type, something useful to enrich the soil, but that doesn't need complicated machinery to manage? Whatever I plant is going to get rototilled with the tractor tiller; I don't own a disc harrow and pretty sure it makes no sense buying one for this little job.

though I'm a bit worried about how much of my retirement account is going to vaporize today when the markets open and the Brits leaving the EU drives all the world financial markets down. Today could be a very bad day for the Market.

I also need to call the repair shop and see how they are doing working on my old CC. No news/calls is usually not good...have to wonder what happened when they tried to get that steering wheel off.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 48°with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with mostly clear skies. Not much planned other than get out of the house and do some walking.
Eric, don't know whether to congratulate or boo your counties voting to leave the EU. We here is in the USA are having a similar decision to vote for in our presidential elections.
Drew, glad you had a good RV trip.
Good Morning All.

67 high of 86 later more storms today. Lots of flooding in the area yesterday from heavy rain and torrential rain. Some towns completely evacuated

Drew is correct the markets will take a big hit today not good

65 going to 84 and chance of more rain.

Great sunset last night - red sky in both west and east as sunlight seeped through some holes in the clouds.

Taking son to train station today and fixing the John Deere mower...bought a new rim, stem and tire. Got the tire mounted but couldn't get the bead sealed last night. Will try again today.

I can see why...as soon as light appeared outside, I checked my manual rain gauge. Would you believe over 7 1/2 inches of rain? Must have stopped several hours ago since front of property has drained pretty well already, and no big lakes. 7 inches of rain means I don't have to water the orchard or much of anything for awhile.
Well, I have some raking to do to clean up some overflowing ditch mess, but frankly amazed there isn't more damage or mess from all that rain. And thankfully I slept through it, though all the windows were lighting up with lightning flashes.

60F clear sky low 80's for high.
Early start trimming lawn this morning, lawn should be dry by mid afternoon for good mowing.
Saturday least to next Tuesday going to be on the warm side which means slow motion for me.

Enjoy the day all.

You're not supposed to have a 12" funnel in the top! :D

Beautiful morning, some humidity. Woke up feeling like the old man I am, hope that gets better.

71 this morning and headed to 92 today. Had almost an inch of rain last night.

Today looks like I will be doing some chicken coop repairs. Along with migrating the last barns. Then it's back inside. Need to finish gutting the master bath. Got a pretty good jump on it last night. Wife needs to decide on what tub to put in so I can do my rough in plumbing. Then I can fix the hole in the floor I found under the decommissioned shower. And start turning it into a closet. I love surprises. Looks like it's going to be a minimum of a 2 sheet floor repair job. Also have to take boy in for blood work for next weeks surgery.

Eric. Good luck on the withdrawal. How long will that fuel last you?

Drew. Stay above the water. 7.5 inches overnight would make this county impossible to travel in.

Good Morning! 61F @ 6:00 AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 93F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Always sad to lose a good friend, David. Hopefully another one will come along.

Drew, good news about the drainage working so well, but how are the turtles?

I heard an economist saying last night that the Brexit wouldn't make much difference to world economies, so I'm thinking if the markets tank today it's a buying opportunity. Just like the dip we'll see no matter who is elected president (holding my nose all the way to the voting booth).

Eric, it looks like Mr. O's "help" worked as well for you folks as it does for us over here. :confused2:

Finished welding the roof on over the windshield opening yesterday, but the virtually new Harbor Freight grinding discs refused to cut so I could smooth out the ripples. I had an old Bosch disc that came with my angle grinder, and that worked great even though there was only an inch left on it. Couldn't return the HF discs (lucky me I bought two so I wouldn't run out) because it's past 90 days, but I sure as heck won't buy any more. And I think there's enough left on the Bosch disc to finish the job.

Learned yesterday that my body man neighbor's eye trouble stems from a detached retina. He's getting surgery today, but can't return home for a week due to the elevation gain between the hospital and home. Sounds like he'll be staying in a motel for a while.

Went to town yesterday for groceries; enjoyed fresh corn on the cob, salad, and chicken wings for dinner. A bottle or two of Fat Tire helped a bit, too!

74.1F and at least partly sunny @ 10:00 ... high of around 80F today.

Looks like the closest guy to me with a weather station finally got his back up and running again ... it had been down for several weeks now.

Got a bit of a leakage problem on the front knuckle seals on the B2910 ... so that will probably be a priority project for this coming week. Seals are $45 a pop ... ouch.

Hopefully the log dog for the 026 will be in today and I can pick it up.
