55 high of 68 rain and fain showers off and on today less chance tomorrow and Sunday.

Mostly gas I'd say very warm and typical afternoon storms. The further you get into June the hotter it's going to get. First weeken in June looks wet at this point

Good morning all, Low of 54 last night going to 61. Got about 1" of rain last night and still raining. Going to work on packing up the shop today, a slow job, just can't get into it but it has to be done so today I will work at it.

Thanks guys, I am really enjoying Good Morning. Find I care for each of you just as if you were a neighbor. I look out my west window to see what RNG has gotten done on his van. 55 and rain going to 61.

Tilled the garden again yesterday...still too wet to plant, and today's rain worsens that condition. Latest ever getting planted.

Bush hogged a 2 acre pasture,,,wetter than I would normally cut, but needed to beat the rain.

Have a cook out planned at my oldest son's house this afternoon...maybe get a break in the rain.

So far, my surprise load of Windows 10 is okay and found my IE app...saw your thread on it, Drew.

i have a potato question for some of you "real" farmers.
On some plants, like fruit trees, each flower signifies a fruit.
Strawberries, lots of examples.
But what about potatoes?
If I have seven blooms on this one plant, does that mean I'm going to have
seven potatoes of some size underneath?
I know each tassel of corn goes to a kernel of corn, but not sure how potatoes work.

Strawberries are coming along very nicely. Need to string another line of electric wire for
any bunnies who climb up. Squirrels, well hopefully their tails hit, and zorch.
I sprayed good bit of the garden with neem oil today. Not liking those white dots on the eggplants.

I have had potatoes that bloomed well and had only a few potatoes on them and plants that bloomed little that produced well. Just like the movie "Faith Like Potatoes" you will know when you dig them. Ed

54F with light drizzle, which it looks like we'll have most of the day.

Worked a little more on widening/flattening the path behind the pole barn yesterday ... probably got it in good enough shape to move the brush down it to the bottom of the property.

Spent the afternoon mowing the front lawns ... got those done. But didn't get the blades changed before I did it. Will need to do that this coming week.

Last evening I checked the two bluebird houses ... the one has been occupied by house sparrows ever since I put it up. The other one has had bluebirds in it in prior years but had four juvenile house sparrows in it last night. Gassed them with starting fluid and threw a plastic bag over the nest box. Then pulled the box off the pole after 5 minutes and dumped the contents in one of the compost piles and brought the box done to the house for cleaning.

The other house had an adult bird in it with around five or six eggs. The adult bird got away before I could get it but I cleaned out the box and removed the nest and eggs. Couldn't get the box off the pole to bring it down to the house for cleaning so I just left it open for the time being.

Need to see if I can locate a fuel pump for the Simplicity locally this morning. If so I'll get that replaced today.

46 right now...heading to 76 later. Looks like a nice day and a good day to finish mowing the back yard. Also, good day to mow the field.
No other plans, but I'm sure I'll find something to do.

Good morning everyone 51 degrees got 1 inch rain last night. The weather man explain why i have not got any outside work done so far this month, we have had rain 17 out of 20 days this month. don't think i ever seen that before. I think i will take me some sardines and potted meat and drinks and go up on the mountain and fish today. I love to do this at least once a season before the water warms up and the trout don't bit anymore till fall. everyone have a great day.

Fishing sounds like a good plan. I usually take jerky, cheese and an apple.

We got about 1.5 inches so far.
