There are some in the weather world who think the western part of North Carolina SW Virginia will be in a drought by June. Other areas western SC, Tn to join in as well. Predictions of what ElNino would do this winter not so good and going forward do not see a lot of improvement. Now some are saying LaNina is on the way for next winter

Haha. I guess I am. I never pay any attention to that stuff. Unless there's a prize. I use the app most times and you have to view a profile to see that info.

I see you just made Elite. Congrats.

Guess that means I post to much also. :).

I know I'm a blabber mouth

Good morning all. 36 here this morning going to 58. Going to rent a u-haul trailer today and haul a load of stuff we won't need for a bit to a storage unit near the new house. Not looking forward to moving again but looking forward to the new house.

All of the wreck talk reminds me of my first wife. We got her a new 79 Fire bird. It was fast, to fast. she hit a pole and about cut the car in two. Died right there. Had just buried my dad less than 2 mounts before. Hard times, we were just 22 years old. Haven't thought of this for a long time. Life is good and I know I would not be who I am today if I had not gone through those hard times 34 years ago. Sorry for the heavy stuff, Just what is on my mind this am. Have a great day all. Ed

39 here at 0530 when I go up.

Wind has finally died down, been brutal on my old rotten roof and on my 25+ year old kite that my 7 year old and I tried to fly when her little Easter kite broke... it is currently tangled up in an oak tree by the pond...

I've seen a number of big ticks already. They are making it into the house even.

That mild winter is not done messing with us yet...

Be well all & God Bless.
David

Ed, sorry you went through that. Not a memory I'm sure you enjoy dredging up.
I was a volunteer fireman for many years, helping the rescue squad with auto extrication.
Watched teenagers die in front of me.
Now I know why Volvo sells so many cars.
Also why we should all kiss our loved ones every day.

Funny how I started an easy question thread in the Kioti forum, asking what size the lug nuts are, and all I've gotten is kubota owners telling me to measure them, or drive on 3 wheels, or set the tire right there on the rim (no instructions how to do said amazing feat though).

Is TBN slipping?

Be well all,
David

52 going to 65 today in mixed clouds after a very nice rain of .71 inches overnight.
I bought a new Cub Cadet lawn tractor to lend to a friend whose mower had died and couldn't afford to replace it (I know Eric, I really am a terrible person...;))
and need to run downtown and pay for it. Big yellow thing, have nicknamed it Bumblebee. I'll get it back in three years when their house is sold. Like I need another
mower. And then to scurry around the house and get food ready for my guests coming in this afternoon. If I can, I might go plant those strawberries. They must be pretty soggy this morning. I could hear little voices this morning "GET US OUT OF HERE". Ok ok.

David, David...just one year ago there is a thread on this:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/332054-dk-lug-nut-size.html

hope this helps. First hit when Googling Kioti lug nut size
maybe us Kubota guys are just too helpful...;)

update: and to prove it...take 19,21, 22 and 24MM sockets with you. Start largest and work downwards.

You need socket size to use?

Kyle. Have you tried the coconut yet?

My wife went and bought some cooking spray and coconut oil, well it's like a criscoe. No refrigeration needed and at 76 turns to a liquid. To cook with. A little goes a long ways. We've been replacing butter with it. Last night the peas were ok with it. You could taste it but not bad. Tonight I used very little in the green beans and they tasted like coconut. Wife couldn't eat them. So peas are ok but don't recommend for green beans. I've also been using the cooking spray. Can't tell any difference in taste. But that may not be enough, I don't know, nothing ever said how much to consume. Wasn't brave enough to add to mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. He won't hardly eat them any ways.

Not had much luck getting her to eat it. I bought the popsickles but she does not like them. (very Finnicky) Her name is Finnly.
Wife bought some type of coconut/butter substitute, but we believe that it is just the stuff they put on popcorn at the movies. She made popcorn and the kid ate it. . . Go figure. So we are still trying to figure out ways to get it in her.

Ed, sorry you went through that. Not a memory I'm sure you enjoy dredging up.

Wrecks are devestating. Over correction often the culprit after being distracted.

Had to tighten my tire bolts the other day, just grabbed a couple sockets that looked about the right size, and the first one fit.
I have no idea what size it was.

Kyle, I bought some coconut sugar to try cooking with. Maybe that's another way.

Coconut oil is great, albeit expensive. But you certainly can't use it for a substitute for butter or bacon fat. Does she like coffee or tea? Believe it or not it makes a great sweetener for either, a little goes along way. I make "bullet proof coffee" with it. It involves coffee (good coffee), grass-fed butter, coconut oil, and a blender. Good stuff and it really makes a difference in the morning. Helps with colds oddly enough, too.

Rain again here in North Texas. Seems to have become tropical the last year. Bad time to buy a house on a hill! But then I wouldn't be here with my Kioti.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 54° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with mostly sunny skies. Should be a good day to visit national parks in the area. Yesterday was a good drive with lots of great rock formation as we passed threw Monument Valley. No pictures but the dash cam took some good video. Need to figure out how to break some of the 7 hours of video out.
Good Morning All.

30.3F and clear @ 08:00 ... high today supposed to be 52F, normal is 59 ...

Was just gonna take a little nap after dinner last night and then head up to the shop ... woke up for the first time around 5 AM ... finally got up around 7 AM.

I did manage to run over to Home Depot yesterday and pick up some steel and nylon spacers for mounting the diverter valve and front aux hydraulic brackets. Sure wish they had had the nylon one in all the right sizes ... nylon = 60 cents each, chrome plated steel = $3.80 for a 2 pak ...

Order @ Discount Hydraulic Hose is still "processing" ... hopefully it will ship today, but I'm gonna give 'em a call later and see what the status is.

Got a call from U.B. about a half an hour ago, wanting to know if I wanted to weld up that underside on the bottom bar on the grapple that I can't get to with the MIG ... absolutely.

Was heading to get coffee this morning and while I was pouring apparently The Squeak jumped Mister Kitty and had him momentarily pinned down on the kitchen floor according to The Woman. Evidently he wasn't expecting it.

Hope everyone has a productive, safe, and enjoyable day.

Good morning! 60˚ cloudy. A thunderstorm cam in last night dumping 2" of rain and a big yellow dog. A good dog but Whipper is now sitting in the grass while big yellow is on the back porch. I kept hearing buzzard wings flapping by the open winow last night after the storm. This morning I realize it was a the dog's tail. Whipper's tail is 4" and makes no noise.

Job for today is to find this good dog's owner, he has no tags.

35 this morning and headed to 68 today. Warming all week.

Birds are all settled in for the next 42 days. Need to clean control rooms. Just never made it that far yesterday. But did get the old IH running. Now just needs an alternator. If it stays running good then I'll have the radiator cleaned. It over heats after about an hour.

So TMA for today is to clean control rooms and walk birds. Wash decruster and antifreeze washer pump. Then off to the dentist for my semi annual ***** eating for the care of my teeth.

Good Morning! 54F @ 5:30AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 68F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Have to agree this is one of the most "kinder, gentler" forums I frequent, and what little conflict I've seen is easily scanned over.

Well, I'm now the owner of an '87 Synchro, as the 4WD Vanagons are called. And it looks like by day's end I'll have another Vanagon, this one a parts car that will literally be cannibalized for the build. If some's good, more's better I guess. It's about two hours away, and since the promised loaner tow dolly isn't available, I'll have to deal with the U-Haul folks and fork out a hundred bux. But for another twenty I can get a trailer, maybe money well spent since the plates are expired on the donor and the fine is substantial if I get caught using the tow dolly. But what would be the fun in that? :D

Also picked up the gear oil I'll need to get the flail mower going, but that'll have to wait for another day.

Happy hump day gang!

Funny the only good explanation of what happened was from Drew, and thank you Drew for that, I think I over reacted, sorry but then the rest here circled the wagons and made it clear to me this tread is a click. Shame on you. New guys best of luck. Maybe you will be okay after a full body probe. Was hoping for something more here. Enjoy yourselves. Just don't reply to anything a new guy post and you will keep the walls in place.
It can seem that way, even to me, and I've been around this particular forum for about 5 years. But truth is, we do some ball busting, post whoring, and general bull****ting here. Don't take offense and don't get bent out of shape by the answers, or lack thereof. I often post to no response, but hey, it probably seemed more important to me than the others, such is life. Too short and complicated to get upset, don't worry, be happy!
