67°F going to 79 here in Ft Lauderdale.
Exciting day yesterday, found a coin laundry to refurbish our wearables. Had a nice dinner on the inter coastal with our traveling companions whose daughter and family drove from Tampa to visit.
Today is our one big Fl adventure, doing an Everglades tour all day.
Be safe
Have a great day

Sam you are a lot colder than us

I been watching temps and listening to forcast on radio our temps are varing about 8 to 10 degrees colder it's the mountains i guess. It got down to 24 this morning before sun up. Sun shines a while then we have a white out. Reminds me of the time we went to bristol bush race on saterday came back to the service station had 14'' snow in lot.Mom told me one time that april will borrow 10 days from march, i said well when do they get paid back she said it's like you kids it don't get paid back. This gives you plenty of time to get all that equiptment ready to go.

am certainly going to be thankful for my 55 degrees this afternoon, though if breezy won't feel like that.
But good weather to work outside in. Need to carefully inspect the veggie garden to see if any seeds are popping up. Will need to cover them if so. Only a very few potatoes seemed to have survived. Somehow I thought potatoes were hardier than that but clearly not. Probably why they say to wait until April 15...

Daugen i'm sure glad someone has some good weather. The wind chill here now is 16 degrees. We suppose to plant potatoes on good friday needless to say that didn't happen, nothing will grow till the night air warms the ground up some. Good luck with your garden

Not terrible right now, mid 40's and showers, but will drop to around 40° by noon with showers/flurries and 40 mph winds. Last freeze of the season tonight.........I hope........:D
Tweaked my back somehow and caused a major flare up in my sciatica. I was standing in the bathroom cleaning my glasses, turned to walk out the door and pain went down my leg to my foot. That was Thursday, a little better each day so far. I've had sciatica since I got 2 bulging discs putting a transmission in a tractor 2 1/2 years ago, had one from an accident in 1982. That and old age, what can I say? Keep on keeping on!

Grandson has his first Tee Ball game in a few minutes, so I'm about to be off.

I'm intrigued how you did that. Was there sufficient room to reverse one of the tractors between the concrete beams to bring it in, or did you have to do a lot of swinging and pushing ?

Thanks guys, Good morning and a cloudy 65˚
Eric - just enough room without taking a fence down which was plan "B". I did misfigure driving the tractor between the footings. I was thinking 8' because the Cattleguard is 8' but I forgot about the 9" L lip. After checking the wheel width on each tractor my Dad's tractor wone out with a measly 1.5" clearance on each side as we set the Cattleguard in place.

Well, after my haircut, I fixed my cheapo JD riding mower so it is turning 360s again...$89 of parts and about 2 hours later...nothing big will break so that I'll have an excuse to get a real mower :)...I keep it running with about $100 - $200 of parts each year. But I think I will start paying attention and looking into a replacement just in case I've jinxed myself...don't know much about the current brands, models or prices.

I keep patching my FIL's rear engine snapper every year. He keeps breaking the steering linkage/shaft assembly when he snags a wheel on something. I need to put a bumper on it.

Final four.
Great job Don.

Kyle. I passed that article on to the wife after reading it. There are several more articles out there about the same thing. Seems like there is some research to back it up so its not sounding like a joy juice to me.
We are going to introduce coconut in the form of coconut ice cream treats. Something/Anything to try and get her to like the flavor.

Mom told me one time that april will borrow 10 days from march, i said well when do they get paid back she said it's like you kids it don't get paid back. This gives you plenty of time to get all that equiptment ready to go.
I love you're mom's saying, I will borrow that if you don't mind. :)

Drew, great memories of pulling kids around in cart behind tractor.
I cleaned up the UTV and will put them in back...

very windy, gusts over 30mph, got most of my to do list done but washing the truck meant more in my face than the truck with the wind so I just squirted it off and dried the windows.

what kind of critter is leaving these odd mounds in the soft mud? Not ants...a vole? small quarter sized hole in center

Good Morning. 1020, sunny, 69F with 24% humidity. Forecast high of 73F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 48F tonight.

If I turn on my computer in the morning, I lose a good hour of garden time, so I've been AWAL for a while. Not much going on, other than garden. And my pine straw guys finally showed up on Sunday. Now I have a little change in my pocket, and I can burn my brushpiles without worrying about burning up the straw.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

We are getting snow here, and it is sticking! It hasn't been a bad winter, but spring sure has been a pain.

Looks like Spring is going to be a cold one this year. Hang in there. Or you could always just move to Florida. Our cold weather isn't like your cold weather.

I got out and replanted the skips in my field corn early this morning before work, and I just about froze. It was about 42F when the sun came up.

Here is my RNRGGS {red neck rain gutter grow system} this morning. Blooms on two of the three kinds of tomatoes and on the Jalapeno and Mini Sweet peppers.
