Good Morning! 54F @ 7:45AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 72F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

Nice view from the new deck, David. Love the Trex, too!

Glad the dentist let you live, Drew. All done?

Back when men were men, Eric...

Another three dozen or so woke up yesterday to discover they needed help logging in to the motorcycle club web site, and rather than reading the instructions called for help. That took most of the day, and by the time I got back to the radio install on the truck the clouds were starting to gather overhead. That was about the time I started installing the backup camera, so when it started a very light sprinkle, I was under the truck running wiring. But that didn't stop it from dripping off the sides onto me during the many trips up and down to get a tool or read instructions. Then it stopped altogether, another drought teaser. I did get the camera working, but now see that I'd rather have it stay active even when the truck isn't in reverse, so I wasted some effort running a sense lead all the way back to the backup bulb. Today I'll undo that and just run the lead to a switched 12V power source under the dash, and put a toggle switch in to control the camera. The radio features a good sized screen with touch controls that doubles as the video monitor, so it's gonna take some gettin' used to fiddling with all the controls and features. It also has Bluetooth, so today I'll see if I can get the iPhone and GPS talking to it, but not talking to each other as they usually do when used on the motorcycle. Should be interesting. Then I'll start a wrestling match with the door speakers, which I'm hoping will go smoother as I've already had them apart once to repair the window motors.

Happy Hump Day!

Randy, my deck is all natural wood, power wash them, too hard on the wood, lifts the grain, Been there already.
When I replace the top of the deck this time it will be composite.
I might surrender as well!:D

RS and others - Posting all these security features on an open forum let's everybody know what you are doing. It's like writing the combo for a lock on the lock.

Leave some surprises for them.
Don't worry, I am ...

Good morning all. Newbury, don't worry. RS has enough protection devices now the Squeak has her own swipe card.
The Squeak is my watch cat ... the other two cats follow The Woman to bed when she hits the rack, which is usually fairly early.

I'm usually up later ... sometimes a lot later ... and so is The Squeak.

My hearing is pretty good ... but it don't hold a candle to The Squeak's ...

Besides he has those poisonous spitting fish now so if they get inside, it's all over.
LOL ...

Actually, I'm sorry you went through this worry RS.
Yeah, thanks ... it sure wasn't anything I particularly needed at this point in my life.

24.2F and overcast @ 11:00 ... but sun is now trying to peek thru ...

The front came through and the ground is now snow covered again.

Should be back up in the mid-50's for a high by this coming Monday.

Got quite a bit done yesterday, none of it terribly fun. Today looks like more of the same.

Warning David S. - cruise fact: The average person gains 6 ponds a week on a cruise.
I think the people on our cruise were frequent cruisers. Average weight was about 250-275lbs. Average age was 40. Good old standard American diet in full swing. They ate 60,000 eggs in one week (average 20 a person).

Eat light, utilize the gym and stairs.

Eat light, .

On a cruise?

Boy, that would take some willpower.
If only because of so many different foods to try.

And many of us don't drink booze every night normally. But on a cruise, you're at the nice dining room table, and everyone is drinking.
So a couple of glasses disappear every night. I never drank enough to make those unlimited refreshment plans work at all.
Actually by the end of the trip I was sort of on food and drink overload particularly if it was a 10 day or longer cruise.
Often cruises mark their menus for healthier choices which is good.
Somehow Ossobucco never gets the healthy check mark, but I'll never pass it by.

Yes to using the stairs though and walking the track up top.
I used the stairs mostly because often the elevators were slow.
And yes to a pair of comfort waist pants...

Really like your avatar

Thanks, Buppies! That fellow visited us back in 2006, in about the same location
that the turkey/dog and turkey/cat photos were taken. Here's the full size photos:

We manage to see one every so often come up from the woods behind us to
check out the area!

Interesting event in weather setting up possibly in about 8 to 10 days for Texas and the South East. Bermuda high sets up next week bringing about above normal temperatures to our area. At the same time Gulf of Mexico becomes open for business with huge amounts of rain feet in some cases. This could and remember could become a serious situation. The Sierras at the same time show 100 inches of snow.

For Texas and the SE pay attention to this if it actually happens lots of flooding and misery. Not cast in stone just this new pattern setting up can lend itself to this scenario. Hopefully it's wrong

Thanks for sharing more bear pictures

If I can put off turning on sprinklers in town for another couple weeks, I'll take that as a win with water rates having skyrocketed recently. Probably need to get a few burn piles ready to go too. Thanks for the heads up.

Don, have to admit, I'm a bit concerned :) thing is, I really like food.

Already figured I'd have to find the gym as I'm used to doing 10mi almost every morning on my stationary bike. Our traveling companions have already booked 2 meals at 2 specialty restaurants (their treat). To make matters worse, we are taking Amtrak across country and it includes meals LOL
