Stepdaughter woke me up about 0600. She had to go into work and the Honda wasn't going to start....battery is probably on it's last legs and the -24 (according to the truck's ambient thermometer) just did it in. I expect the Honda will start when it warms up, otherwise a trip to Walmart for a replacement battery.
The F-150 was a bit slow turning initially, but did start and she took it to work.

The dog wanted to go out to do her business, but was mighty hesitant. It took me and a treat to get her out....I stayed out with her, just in case.

It wasn't really too too bad once I was out. So, dog now has a full belly and is napping on the sofa (on that wool mil-surp blanket I bought yesterday....guess she's going to make it hers).

Wow, looking at all these temps I am downright Balmy! Low last night was 31 and it is going to 64 today. Yesterday I laid out the garden area, today I have to remove a fallen tree out of there, till it up and start planting the early seeds.

Poured my 1st cup of coffee this morning, and set it down on the railing on the deck. It froze before I could pick it up again!

So I went inside and looked at the outdoor thermometer it read -37° – yes that's MINUS.

Nice day, though. Sunny, no clouds. Nice view out onto the frozen lake.

actually, this might be a good time to hike back to the pond and see if it's frozen over. Haven't been back there in many months,

20 this morning and headed to 32 today. Wind chill of 13. We've been upgraded to a winter storm warning. 3-5 inches forecast. Already have a dusting and more is about 2 hours away.

Looks like I'll have just enough time to get the hay out to the cows and get the blade on. Debating on which tractor to put it on. I've always plowed with a 2wd MF but I might see how the Kubota does. MF has Ag tires and Kubota has R4's but Kubota is 4wd. Both are about the same size with loader and loaded tires. MF does weight quite a bit more though.

Dam Roy that's cold. Wife was reading on Facebook yesterday and it listed -24 as our all time record low. Set in like 1816. One year in the 1800's we had snow on July 5th. My thoughts were how hard it was to raise animals and food that year if there was no growing season. Not like they had a Walmart.

I think we're going to luck out, a little snow and a lot of rain. This morning was 8°, not as cold as predicted. 19° now.

Good Morning. 1015, partly cloudy, 49F with 32% humidity. Forecast high of 63F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 46F tonight. Our low was only 34F, so I didn't have any ice on the rainwater bucket when I washed the coffee pot this morning. I used my new frying pan to heat chili over the fire last night. I still haven't cooked at the new camp though. I want to do some sausage, rice and beans when I get the chance.

Speaking of food, my Valentine cooked me some oven baked French toast this morning. Very good.

A couple of her cousins are looking to buy a house {each} in the area. They live in Jacksonville and Orlando now. There is a HUD house in Marianna that will go on the general market in 10 days. Helen, the Orlando cousin, ask us to go take lots of pictures of it this afternoon. The house and an acre of land is only $32K, so if it is in any kind of shape, that is a good deal. So we are going house looking this afternoon.

I did that on this thread last year. My IPhone has the Cupertino weather on it, I added Howell's, but when I looked at it, it was the Cali weather on it. Somebody caught it....

It was about -5 this morning, my boxer gurrl didn't want to go out either. Once out, she was ok, but when I turned back to the house, she ran ahead of me, waiting to go back inside. Smart dog!

About 18 on The North Bluff and snowing. Light and blowing snow but only about 2.5" so far. Got back from picking up the grapple before it got steady. Here it is. Painted, assembled, and mocked up to height of top of bucket so I can see what I need to do to get it to close where I want it.

It's been high 70's low 80's here for several days and same in forecast for next week.

Don't envy all of you with snow and cold weather. I'm running A/C on both tractors from about 10 am on every day. I'll take tee shirt weather any day!

It's not T-shirt weather here. We are at 62F this afternoon, and I was looking for my jacket
