What you missed I guess was Cam Newton over the season saying he was best QB to exist, that the media didn't know how to cover the best QB that's ever been, inferring on pregame because he's black! That all the other QB's have been surpassed by him, and deal with it.... What a arrogant a**. HS.

Yep, Cam Newton undid any goodwill he'd accumulated by giving balls to kids and doing public service ads and such, on inglorious moment in his hoodie, in dirty clothes, sulking like a 5 year old. His teammates even had to wait on the bus for him to shower and dress so they could leave. If you're going to be the best, and claim your race is still downtrodden, then you have to at least show a modicum of decorum.

Hi guys, We have had a change in the weather. Cold and will only get to freezing today So I am playing with the trains inside today.
Working on seeing how many cars the three motor ALCO A-B Set I built can pull. It is looking like it will be able to pull more cars than can go through the 34” radius Marx 1/2 curve section on the layout so I may never know. You can see it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in_XVFrVPUA
Got an e-mail from the guy making my Grapple thumb and he said I can pick it up by the end of the week. Looking forward to installing it to the bucket on the tractor.

Good Afternoon. 1605, partly cloudy, 60F with 40% humidity {& 20 mph winds}. Today's high was 63F and a forecast low of 37F tonight. Should be colder tomorrow.

Congrats to Von Miller and the Denver Broncos. I was wrong about 14 points winning the game. That was the best I have ever seen a defense play on that stage. It made for a very hard game to watch though. I went on to the camp and "watched" the 2nd half on the radio. I forget the exact number, but when the #1 defense goes up against the #1 offense, the D wins something like 87% of the time. So the outcome should not have been that much of a surprise. The game was historic. Manning had the worst QBR of any winning QB in SB history.

A good defense can make any quarterback look good. Happened with the Ravens a couple yrs ago. Was glad to see Peyton win, Denver seems to show more class.

Cam had an even worse QBR, but he did lose. I picked Denver, but I guessed like 31-28. My thought was if Denver held them under 21 in the first half, they would win, they did and they did. Then Cam acted like a 4 year old.

Cam Newton doesn't see how he hurts himself. Manning didn't have a good game, but he didn't have too. The defense had a great game, and they won the game. I hope Manning retires, going out on top. It's all downhill from here for him in the NFL.

We lost another musical icon this week. Most of you probably never heard of Dan Hicks {and his Hot Licks}, but he laid the ground work for the San Francisco sound of the late 60's. He joined The Charlatans as a drummer in '65, then formed Hot Licks in '67. They were the house band at a little hippie bar in Virginia City Nevada, the town better known as the watering hole for Hoss and the rest of the boys from the Ponderosa. But enough of the young musicians from San Francisco heard them to start one of the major branches of American music. This was always one of my favorite Hicks songs.

Good morning, we are having a brief rest from the rain. Forecasters attribute the lull to a certain pattern of isobars on a weather map. I attribute the lull more to me having bought a new waterproof jacket yesterday.

good morning all, rain is over, dry week ahead but things are so wet no chance of doing much outside. Colder week, then warming up next week.
I headed out midafternoon yesterday and sprayed the orchard with dormant oil spray. And just in time, one of apple trees was an early bird and had a few blooms already.

Lot of storm pickup and raking today.

Alien, most of us have never seen a kangaroo in real life. Pictures!!!!!!!!!

15F now upper 20's for high,less 3" inches snow to plow after I cast my vote this evening.
Looks like winter will return starting Wednesday....brrrrrr.
