Happens to me sometimes too. Sadly, either Excede/WildBlue or HughesNet are my only two options. Tried HughesNet before and they were terrible.

I have the same problem with excede, dont know whats using it. Hit 70% in 4 days.

Yep, same here. Used 100% of my data on first day of new month restoring my new iPad from my iCloud backup of old iPad. Should have done it at night and not used up my prime time data.

I'm fed up with satellite internet, but only real choice I have here.

Good morning all. 43F this morning with mostly clear skies calm wind. 66F for a forecast high, with feisty winds today. Chance of snow  Saturday and Monday mornings. BIL/SIL coming for visit today through Saturday. Have grocery store run and bike ride and further cleanup of wood pile.

Good morning! 47˚ cloudy heading to 64˚ - average January day in Texas.

RNG - it looks like I'm going to strike Exceed as a internet backup plan. I'm using Netflix instead of satellite TV to justify the local unlimited internet charge. I'm watching all the old BBS shows from across the pond. It's still hard for me to get used to lawyers being called solicitors and a Dr. office called a Surgery. Midsomer Murder series is a long series with each episode an hour and a half - without commercials. The Midsomer area's murder rate is very high, and gun control makes other ways of murder an interesting challenge to investigate. Without getting political - Eric do all the cop's carry guns all the time or do they have to check them out for special occasions.

My Miller Mig was giving me grief yesterday. The feed wire kept bunching up and I had to re-wire it 5 times but the 6th time it started to work right. I finished the Yahama trailer hitch extension for the garden trailer. The weld looks good after a bunch of grinding and paint. :ashamed:

I rounded up a Scott air pack representative and he will give his presentation to our VFD on the new "X3" air pack - with the bells and whistles and lights it can retail for $10,000.00 - and that is not including the bottle and the mask. No wonder they don't sell them on Amazon. I think we can get the price down a lot with the basic model and a wholesale price. Do we need bluetooth?

Some smart phone apps are continuously gleaning the internet for upgrades and such and that can take a bite out of your data package.
Also, consider what you're downloading. Music normally isn't much, but a music video can be a substantial drain on data capacity. If you have kids, and the family is on the same data plan, that might be something to look into.

put in a full day outside and am pretty tired. Leveled and rolled the whole area around the little drainage ditch bridge, removed the bridge, laid the pipe, decided it for sure needed some extra support, and then when I was all ready for a load of ABC to come, they called and said truck broke. Maybe tomorrow if they can get here before it rains.

Did a lot of releveling around the new shed, got that area close to where I want it, then I dug some additional small ditches with the tree spade.

My twenty minute ramp build, a 4' 2x10 cut diagonally for stringers, and 8, 5' 2"x 6" treads. No kidding, twenty minutes start to finish. I'm no carpenter obviously, but that's a strong ramp, $48 worth of materials and twenty minutes. The local shed sellers want $125 and they're not nearly as nice.

Drew. Good job on the grading. What's with the 6x6's at the tile?

Around here that would just let the tile wash out. As the gravel couldn't seal around pipe and lock into the corrugations. I like my tile bedded into lime or a packing sand. But around here we use lime.

I agree with farmer2009. The way I see it the wood is not more support than packed gravel/sand.

Most of our police do not carry guns. Shooting incidents here are extremely rare, which must be why the scriptwriters of Midsomer have to be so inventive.

Good morning. -2C/28F, our first hard frost of 2016 and a yellow sky, could be some snow on the way. Should be interesting as I've arranged to have a test drive in a hybrid electric Toyota Rav today.

40 going to 58 today with rain coming in after lunch.

thanks for the feedback on the use of pressure treated wood next to the plastic pipe. I was concerned over the top part of the pipe crushing down under heavy truck weight, so I built some side walls. The wood is only about three quarters the length of the pipe, and each end of the pipe will have either a wood or concrete retaining wall. And likely some very heavy gauge wire mesh on the ends too. Just clear water going through here, surface water only, almost no leaves. Really don't want critters living in there.

I was surprised how physically large 12 inch pipe was, not crazy heavy, but the double wall and ribbing just makes it seem a lot larger than 12. I probably could have done fine with maybe 8 inches but wasn't sure how that would be to clean out.

So I understand the point of fill getting in all the ridges, but Farmer I don't understand the term "tile".
Was thinking the wood would be like belt and suspenders. Yes after 40 years or so it will rot but I'm ok with that.
I was so impressed with how those 6x6's held up the concrete truck I thought it wouldn't hurt to add a little "structural integrity"
to the build.

Most importantly, to begin with, I plead ignorance. I do know I don't want a huge mound over the pipe so putting more than a foot of ABC on top is about all the height I want to add. Realistically, this is mostly tractor and pickup traffic but want to plan for something heavier but not like I'm going to take a D9 over this thing....

had bad leg muscle spasms at midnight last night. Almost had to get into the hot shower or the hot tub but they subsided. Clearly I was on my feet too much yesterday.
It's never a problem at the time...but it sure does catch up with you.
