Boy do I feel like a Wuss, it is 38 w/ a feels like 31 and the high going to 54 today. Still the warmest in the group except for Ron and I am freezing! The horses are having fun, they woke me up this morning just running in the pasture.

Farmer how do I check that? And if that is what's wrong how do I fix it? Burn the Brush pile, hmmmm, that sounds like a good idea today.

Don, How is your Dad doing? Did you get your internet today?

RNG, Welcome home, sounds like you had fun

8 headed to the 20's today. The day is off to a great start. I had a 7AM apt for my F150's annual inspection. In and out in 30 minutes. Hoping to finish the day strong with the purchase of a new 60" blower on the way home from work.

Good Morning. 0745, sunny, 37F with 59% humidity. Forecast high of 52F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 35F tonight. It didn't frost after all. Not quite as cold as predicted.

We are eating green chili at Sister's tonight. She spent most of her adult life in Colorado Springs, and picked up Southwestern cooking from an old Mexican neighbor. I've been told to bring nothing, but I hate going to any eating empty handed. {I did contribute a few Jalapeno peppers from my inside garden}

You guys have a good one,

Larro

Good morning all. 29F and clear with a bit of a wind chill. Forecast for 48F and light wind. Trying to decide whether to ride today, tomorrow, or Thursday. Rain in forecast tomorrow, normal ride day, and Thursday has a forecast for 60F! Took Christmas tree down yesterday, cut the firewood to length and rode bike. TMA for next few days , finish Christmas decorations, split firewood, test fireplace, 2 bike rides, and Post Office run.

Good afternoon. No time to play at cutting rushes with a Browning 12 gauge today. I'm working away at a company who had a major fire before Christmas and were struggling to find some code for their test gear on their server backups. It has taken a few hours, but I finally got it from a 10 year old archive. I'm waiting now for the evening rush hour to calm down before setting off back home.

RNG, sounds like you celebrated the new year in style. Many of us struggle to stay awake until midnight, while you and your friends managed to turn it into a five day event ! Good picture of the camp. I know what you mean about getting back to your own bed. I may have said before that at one time I could go off with the bike for the weekend with a small tent and 1/2" of rolled up foam for a mattress. As my bones got older and complained more and more, I had to resort to a series of self inflating mattresses if I wanted to sleep for more than a couple of hours. The last one was so thick I could barely squeeze into the tent when it was inflated.

14° early, 27° feels like 19° now, with the 15-20 mph winds. I like the 60's better!

23.5F and clear with lots of sun ... the local weather station reported this morning's low temp as 6.3F ... and another nearby station reported a low of 4.4F, so I don't doubt it.

The Woman brought the dahlia bulbs in from the garage before she headed out ... hopefully before they froze ...

Hello everyone!

It was 8 degrees here this morning, bu the woodstove has been roaring since Friday evening so the heat pump has only been on once Saturday morning, and once this morning.

Had awesome Christmas with my new wife, her 2 sons, and 2 of my girls. Dropped my girls off with their Mother at Noon Christmas (after being with me for 8 straight days!!!!) and took the rest of the family to new Star Wars. On the 26th the wife and I flew to Dominican Republic (Bavaro beach) for a honey moon. I found the perfect tractor job there. in the pre-dawn and early dawn there is a guy with a big tractor grooming the beach between the palms and the ocean (I've got pix I need to load onto my computer and post here). We flew home the 31st and her oldest son had a little party going at our house which we crashed and enjoyed. Then the 1st we got my girls again for a quiet weekend visitation. Yesterday it was back to work for both of us. What a Holiday Season!!!

I've been busy running chainsaws and the Kioti on the weekends without the girls processing firewood, and setting up drying racks for the hardwoods the loggers left for me.

I cannot get my android TBN app to run?

So, that's my update. Sorry I've been gone so long, but all is well here.

I hope and pray all here are well, warm, and healthy.

God Bless & Be well,
David

I'm sure I did, was on I-77 from SC to I-64 in WV, now just don't ask me which bridge it was. Going up it was dark and raining and a little scary. Coming home I had a 2200 pounds of moving weight in a bumper pull trailer... a little scary. Did a lot of "I Think I Can's" up the hills, and a whole lot of "Whoa Nellie's" going down.
Its a rather long bridge not too far after you climbed that long hill right after entering VA from NC. That hill is no fun going down. I was going down one day, went around a bend and everyone was locking up their brakes for stopped traffic. Look in my rearview and there's a semi trying to stop and trying not to wipe everyone out. He took it off the left shoulder and up an embankment, just about came to a complete stop, and the truck and trailer went over on it's right side. Scary sight to see in your rear view. He probably saved some lives with what he did, maybe even mine. He was alright.

Glad to read it's going good.

But about that tractor job - the commute from Virginia would be a PAIN!

David, welcome back. Glad you enjoyed the holidays. Tbn app no longer works. Use tapatalk on android.
Was 10° this morning, high in 20's. Single digits tonight then warming up some. Wife said the upstairs geo wasnt keeping temp up. I didn't tell her the breaker for auxheat is off, was warm enough for me.
Got pellet stove cleaned out tonight and now running.

Don, How is your Dad doing? Did you get your internet today?

Kev, busy day. This morning the internet was connected by going up 20 more feet on a new antenna but I'm only getting 1/2 of the speed I am paying for. I may need to go up another 20 ft and connect to a different tower. The tower I'm aimed at now is 9.8 miles away. The antenna and their signal is only rated to a 9 mile limit. I can see the 9.8 mile tower from my yard the other tower 2.8 miles away is over the trees and through the woods.

Dad is doing good, he got his cath out yesterday and is taking it easy for 3 more weeks - which means I working PT for 3 weeks. Another 2 days and all the cows will need feeding again. The baby calf is iffy if it will survive.

Mossflower - sounds like life is good!

Here is a pick of me setting a base post for the extendable antenna to attach to. The grapple kept the post steady and secure and it was easy dropping it in the hole.

Second pic:
This afternoon I got 4 cup holders!:)
