Back in 2011 the HF one was made by Hudson.
Now that you mention it, I think I recall reading that at some point ...
But you get all those logs delivered.
True.
You could probably move them on the 3point.
Up to a point ... I think the lift capacity on the 3PH is 1350 lbs or so, 24" behind the pivot.
A tractor with another 15 to 30 ponies would be nice ... but that likely ain't gonna happen.
I'll bet
Nice ... you can work regardless of the weather, or the time of day.
How wide are your doors ?
I've bought 3 sections total, 18 feet I think.
Sweet
Especially when you get the timber delivered to your door.
LOL ... yeah ... very true.
I dunno that I'd wanna bank on that continuing forever tho' ... although I do have several sources at this point.
It's really a mixed bag ... there is a (somewhat misguided) young man who works for several small local outfits, all three do tree service work but one is mostly roofing (but the owner heats with wood himself), and another also does landscaping as well. One is strictly tree service. Two of the three owners have "issues" that I'd just as soon not make part of my life, as does the kid himself.
There's also another young man - next door neighbor actually - that works for another company. Smart kid, just out of high school who has helped me a lot ... he's been running equipment for a number of years, and is pretty professional and a very hard worker. Real go-getter. His company has offered to send him to school to become a certified arborist ... and he's smart enough to recognize the opportunity and take advantage of it.
None of these four company sell wood ... it either gets chipped or they take it to a local tree service/landscape company who has a grinder (mulch) who charges a fee for every load they accept ... or it goes to a landfill apparently.
So it could change in a heart beat.
In the meantime I'm counting my blessings while I've got them.
