Rs. I am still leaning towards the flame sensor. But it also sounds like you could have a vacuum draft sensor problem. As it shouldn't kick even 1% of the time. Check your wiring. I have also had the plastic around the terminals break and cause things to go bad. Might give them a good check.

Drew, why were you embarrassed to drive a red Cadillac? Nothing more American on earth!

Cold and frosty, 60's by Tues.

Good morning! Cloudy 58˚, the low clouds are rolling by, I can almost touch them - at least can see a bit of clear sky here and there so maybe I get some charging on the front gate.

Something kept coming around the corner of the house last night and Whipper chased it to the back - about 10 times - yawn - she is sleeping tight now that she is off the night shift duty. For Christmas she gets a good wildlife camera so she can show all of us what makes her work so hard at night.

Drew, I agree with you. Any red vehicle is a girls vehicle. My only red tractor - a Farmall A is my wife's, it used to be her grandmothers garden tractor.

Coffee is done brewing. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 67° with mostly sunny skies all day. Electric water heater died. Need to find time to replace heating element. Friends are dropping by this afternoon.
txdon, those pet presents are always a plus.
RS, hope your furnace problems get solved soon.
Good Morning All.

Morning, almost there...Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy New Year.

Today looks like some weather is moving in. Suppose to get uppper 30's this afternoon.

I spent the day yesterday fixing fence lines and weed-whacking. Cannot remember last time I did that in my life. Cutting grass in December. LOL.

Have a great day and week that will unfold.

RS, I guess I should be sorry for what I asked for. Only one picture of the Eiffel Tower.
Well, here then ... I certainly don't want ya jonesin' due to my neglect ...

IMG_1788.JPG

Nice duct work! But you are wasting your time.
Yeah ... that was kinda what I thought - right after they replaced the gas valve and the furnace started working.

But as it turned out it wouldn't have been a waste. I sorta like the idea of having it as an insurance policy.

Santa is bringing you a new Rheem 100% efficiency heater that has magical elves to always attend it. Never a broken part. Never needs fuel. Just a trace of pixie dust around it. Like the crud we used to have with oil burners on the floor...but much nicer. You just have to believe. ;)
Oh ... I do believe ... ;)

Evidently it's some sort of a gender identity thing ... at least if the Texicans are to be believed ...

Personally, I would (and have) own(ed), and drive(n), red in a heartbeat ...

I do find it kinda hard to get real excited about those pink Mary Kay Cadillacs tho' ...

Will do.

The breaker (on the draft inducer) that is tripping seems to be tied to a (heat) sensor in the top of the heat exchanger. You can see it's location in the first picture I posted. It (the actual sensor) is to the right of the draft inducer near the top of the frame ... has two wires going to it.

I assume it's a "high limit" sensor.

I have also had the plastic around the terminals break and cause things to go bad. Might give them a good check.
Yup - the terminals (on the breaker) were noted by the older HVAC guy as being somewhat loose - he crimped them down a bit and I don't think that we've had a problem with that particular breaker tripping since.

31F & overcast. Chance of snow, then rain through Christmas so I'm not expecting much sunshine for a while.

Sharon has decided :D I should make my version of baked enchiladas for our Christmas dinner. I need to go to the grocery store today I guess.

Pre-retirees enjoy the short work week. :) I used to think I would never live long enough to say such things--like the old Hank Williams song; I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive.

Good rainy season morning, boys. I've figured out that yes, we do have a rainy season in America, in the southeast anyway. November and December, every year since I've been kicking. Only took me 66 years to learn that. Rainy, cold miserable day all in all here at me Georgia place, Mississippi is the same. Supposed to have a sunny Christmas day though. Speaking of which, I need to do me Christmas shopping, especially for Ethel. Haven't gotten her a thing yet!! Oh me. She's jewelry poor, but wants some thingamajig call pandora or some sich. And, a doo wop concert. We've been to a heap of those. Never close by... Whew, got to get busy today...

Y'all have a good one.

Oh, perish the thought.

The only good Corvette is a red one and I know a guy with a red Ferrari that could argue the point. Red is also called "resale red" because those cars get bought first. Now, I could see yellow or blue being a girls color but not red. :D

Good Morning {just barely}. 1155, overcast, 63F with 100% humidity. Forecast high of 72F with 80% chance of heavy thunderstorms this afternoon {we are under a flash flood watch}, and a low of 61F tonight. McLawn you are spot on about the rainy season. When we don't get it the ponds around here really drop. My 5-7 acre pond was dry for several years. Now it is back and growing nicely.

I'm done with Christmas parties, except for our little office party tomorrow. I'm off until after the New Year. I slept in this morning, and got a late start on my workout. In fact I went ahead and ate breakfast before I did my lifting, which I rarely do. I need to pull those gloves on and get started.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

Here is my breakfast. Sirloin tip and tomatoes, eggs, green beans and toasted baguette. {Maybe I need to start a new thread}

Drew, why were you embarrassed to drive a red Cadillac? Nothing more American on earth!

no question about that. It's just that I'm not a showy person and while I might lower myself to squeeze into a bright red split window 63 Corvette coupe (ha!), well yeah, but not a Cadillac or Lincoln. Or a Mercedes. It doesn't make any difference whether I can afford one or not, it's what the car says to others. Should I not care? well, part of me doesn't, but too often cars are used as nothing but status symbols and I'm just not into that. I mean my other car is a Toyota, thankfully one with about 95% US content. However I do see the new CTS-V is coming out with 650hp; now that's a Caddy that would be fun. Can't believe they are putting all that power to just the rear wheels. Marvelous for doing long smoky burnouts at the country club...not that I belong to one.

Larro, you should have been a chef. Impressive.

give it to 'em Mac. They surely deserve it.

Good. but is that a wood stove? Looks like you've got a big leg of lamb stuck in there, maybe an ostrich...
