Good morning all. Current temp is 32F going to 37F still windy. Should warm up this weekend to normal temps and rain. did spend some time in the wood pile, have plenty to do there yet.

Have a warming trend in the forecast starting Saturday going thru Tuesday ... high temps will go up to the 40's and 50's ...

Since I haven't managed to get any fire wood stacked and stockpiled at the shop, I'll need to use that window to do so ...

It's supposed to rain - which is both good and bad: It will get rid of the snow ... but working in it ain't gonna be any fun.

Have mostly moved back to cleaning up the shop ... got to figure out some solution to keep the dust from getting on everything stored on the shelves ... emptied out the Shop Vac last night ... it was only about 1/8 full ... but the dust was so fine it must have weighed 20 lbs.

57 degrees in sun, the last contractor has left, putting in the cabinets in the new bathroom.
Watered the sod for awhile, watered bushes, water, water . Really need a soaker here.
and not five feet of snow thank you.
Might fire up the chainsaw and go cut up a small tree of my neighbor's that has fallen through the woodline and into my field, though not by much, and only a six inch thing. Unfortunately there is a four string barbed wire fence of mine that it fell on so this might take some extra care.
And the temp may have gone down, and I might wait until Saturday for help. He procrastinated...

or.....maybe I'll take my maiden voyage in the new hot tub. Boy that sounds better than sawing up a tree over barbed wire any day.
Temp says 102 though my IR heat gun showed it a couple degrees cooler. Tap water put in, so clean to start, and then it was superchlorinated and bromine filtered. And smells fine. So while you good folk are wallowing in your deep snow drifts, I think I'm going to go soak my head. Besides, I'm supposed to be retired...

now there actually is room for a little table in the corner of the deck by the hot tub, I could put my laptop there, and keep up to date with the latest breaking news at TBN.
but then I am reminded of the old adage I learned in the earlier days of home electronics and keyboards:
if you teach them to drink, they soon learn to smoke
maybe I'll keep the laptop inside.

Drew, thanks for that bit of wisdom. Cold here, in the 20's, snowed a bit, got another inch or so. Went to Costco with a neighbor, got some more dark roast coffee, and a few less important things. Shoveled more snow, both at the house and the shop. Need to make a couple of calls, then take the dogs for a walk.

Good Evening. 1720, clear, 54F with 75% humidity. Today's high was 66F and tonight's low is forecast as 35F with 0% chance of rain. It was very nice out today. Sunny and warm. I feel for you guys in the North East.

I've had a very busy day so this is the first chance I've had to check in. My cardio and lifting went slow, so it was noon before I ate breakfast. Thursday is my usual night off and I always cook supper. But I'm working tonight, so before I came in, I grilled BBQ turkey cheese burgers and fried up a package of bacon for those so inclined. There was no time to sit down and eat, but I did taste both. I doubt supper will be late tonight.

Dave, glad to hear your dog is feeling better. There is no feeling worse than having a hurting pet.

Drew, I have the Hopper from Dish, and I have been using my laptop to watch TV while in the tub. We have one of those 2 people whirlpool type tubs in the master bathroom. I sit the laptop on a stool so it's safe from the water, but watching football with your head turned slightly to the side can be a severe pain in the neck.

John, those pictures are awesome {in the true meaning of the word} You be careful. I've been seeing on Sports Center where they haven't decided if the Bills are still going to try playing their game on Sunday or not. There is something like 220000 tons of snow that will have to be moved if they do.

That's good, really good, but actually I decided as a purist I prefer the mild Popeyes... But the spicy is really good...

Best friend chicken I ever had was a joint in Leavenworth Kansas (I had a meeting at Ft Leavenworth).

It was close to the swanky outdoor stuff shop, close to my hotel (a hampton inn I recall) called "Grandma's Chicken"or something like that. It was a fancy Irish pub that went out of business and this guy decided to make his grandma's chicken... It was stunning.

I've been there once, back in 2009... Yum...

Drinking lots of hot coffee. 3° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 25° with mix of sun and clouds. When I first got up this morning digital thermometer read 1°. Checked other thermometers outside. They gave similar low temperatures. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I am now sure it's time to head south. Need tomorrows thaw to get things ready.

Yes agree long work week cold today high in low 40s good dose of rain Sunday then 60s for Monday. Colder weather and stormy too is lurking just around the corner.

There is a big weather event taking place over Siberia now that will adversely effect our weather in about two weeks or so. Couple that with a mild ElNino and you get very cold and stormy conditions over two thirds of the good ole USA. This cold may be very severe.
