Sodamo, keep up the good work, Remember the diet starts at the grocery store and this is a long term commitment. Don't get discouraged when you plateau, just double down and go for the long term. Is your goal to loose a specific amount or are you trying to obtain your correct BMI? Here in Texas some employers have the workers go through a health screening each year during health insurance renewal month and they get discounts for being in their BMI range.

Thanks Don, appreciate the encouragement. Yes, in this for the long haul. That was a big factor in the decision process. I see this as a very sustainable lifetime approach. Perhaps one of my greater challenges will be maintaining the exercise part. Have a terrible record of getting distracted on that front. I can go for a good period of time then some will be more important one day, then two, and before you know it my exercise program has been reduced to nil. When that happened in the army that fact I'd have period fitness tests would be enough to get me restarted after a spell, no such motivation here in retirement.

As for goals... This smart scale presented me with a set of goals once I was programmed in and stepped on it first time. I think I last saw that weight about 1965, maybe again within 10 pounds of it in '84 when I was training for the marathon. I would like to get in the appropriate BMI Range. Your insurance comment is interesting. As I am Medicare/Tricare, I fully expect to see program changes that will severely penalize, monetarily, anyone exceeding the recommended range in the next 2-3 years. Can it the improved method of means testing.

What he ^^^^ said. It was 72 F this morning at 6:30 AM when I got up. By tomorrow night, it's supposed to be be down to 33 F and storm with possible wind/hail. This time I'm gonna get my tomatoes covered. I didn't have such good luck the last time I called the weather's bluff.:ashamed:
