Good morning everyone! What a beautiful warm spring morning. Best sunrise I've seen in years. Ha! April fools. Mother nature has tricked us all. After two beautiful days of 50's, we woke up to 33* and 1/2" of snow on the ground, ugh. Good one mother nature.

Sun with a bit of cloud today, high of 16C/61F. Going to change the snow tires on the car and this afternoon pickup and later pickup my 80 meat chickens.
Not going to cut or haul firewood today, think my body needs a break :ashamed: from this type of work, even if it is for just one day.

The weatherman said it is supposed to start raining this evening and continue through tomorrow into Wednesday with as much as 2" of rainfall over 100% of the DFW area. Gosh! I hope that's not a cruel April Fools joke.:confused2: For now, it's just a gorgeous day that started out at 42 F this morning with a glistening dew on the new grass. Currently, it's up to 66 F and the sky is clear and blue like my little bluebonnets that have started to bloom. They are on schedule for full bloom by mid-April.

I'm going to find out. My wife loves to read non-fiction and she has done this diagnosis herself, so it may be right or wrong.

I am looking for a headshrinker to get to the bottom of this.

David if I am not mistaken you said that you had started counseling a few weeks back. If this is the case it would appear that you have been seeing the wrong person or your wife is trying to make a good case for not leaving you. Either way I would find a competent therapist ASAP!!!
Yesterday you mentioned your past TRAUMA as a child and controlling behavior if this is true you need to get it out and deal with it. You mentioned talking to your pastor that's a start but most men of the cloth do not have the back ground, education or life experience "the tools" to adequately diagnose a problem. I do wish you well but this separation is not working out for you as you can see. If she believes you have a controlling personality it is going to hurt but you may have to just give her some space to show you can change. See a pro, we are pulling for you but just talking about it here just isn't going to get it done.

This is a new and different counselor, to check under the hood and see what's hidden in the cobwebs.

I am speaking to the Pastors about how I should behave, not for diagnosis.

Yes. I believe there is a distinct possiblilty I may have had TOO MUCH of a controlling personality, and I do not wish to be that way. That is why I am going in for a tune-up.

I think it is like scanning me for computer viruses...

I agree also, talking about it here is not gonna get it done...

David, been there done that!
Just don't fall into the trap of finding the one that will say what you want to hear. Stick with one, various isn't good.
Find the one that will be brutally honest.
Best of luck,
You will be surprised what can be found that you both suppressed.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 20 degrees with clear skies this morning. Heading to 39 with sun and a breeze. Winter is here forever. Well at least a couple more days. Opening day for Detroit Tigers is later this week. Maybe that will be a good sign that spring is really here.
