Cold, cloudy, windy and oh...COLD!! Been out taking down Christmas decorations, did the inside yesterday, would have done the outside then too but 2" of rain kept me in the house.

The Deere did quite well, thank you!
We didn't lose power either...not at home and only momentarily at work.
The drive to and from work was quite interesting...but just use some sense (and an all wheel drive Subaru) and I got there and back quite safely.

Good morning! 26˚with about 8" of snow on the ground. The new atv does a great job plowing the drive. I really like having a winch to operate the plow rather than the manual lift I used to have. Have a good one!

Joe...I have used a winch on my Honda Foreman 450 to raise and lower the plow when moving snow for nine years now. Since I ONLY use the winch for that purpose, I only have a few feet of cable installed on the winch drum. Read someplace a long time ago that it can cause problems with the cable not spooling properly if you leave the entire length of the cable on the drum but only use a few feet of it.

20 degrees here now...quite balmy after a couple days ago (when it was 2 degrees at 0500). Should see the low 20's as a high today.
Snow is stil dusting, but the event is over for the most part.

29 and hazy??? I can see the full moon, but it has a slightly obscuring haze, and I can only see a couple stars, not a clear night sky, but I cannot see any clouds.

Yesterday I had a 4 hour drive home from the DC Beltway area ...

Me too! I do get to work from home or on the road A LOT... But around the holidays or bad weather, traffic North/South on I-95 is horrid...

I simply cannot WORK rural (yet)...

I have a Lunch event up in Springfield today, and I HATE the Friday commute, but if I can head South earlier, like no later than 1:30... Well...

It could be terrible... They are doing this MASSIVE construction project for HOT lanes, it is a Friday, there is a Holiday as well. Yesterday morning going North to the office, at least 60% of the cars were out of state...

I would LOVE to skip this trip...

But it pays the bills...

Cloudy and -5c this morning, some snow later today. Should get out to the garage and work on the Cadtrac, have a couple of cylinders to change. But its only going to -4c today and the heat in the garage is not the greatest. Will decide later. Breakfast seems like a better option right now. Coffee first. No work until after the New Year celebration, then back to the grind.
