Lots of sun and around 82F today, yesterday it was 85F, this is unusually warm for this time of the year. Looks like we will have a few more days of the same.
Just finished loading my 5 X 10 trailer with green firewood so it's still heavy. This is going to my neighbors.

Yesterday:

Wash wife's car
Clean numerous throw rugs
Clean 150 feet of gutters
Clean up garden plot (3 hours)
Spray pumpkin vines
Pile up brushpile with Deere and salvage lumberfrom pile
Prep crock pot chili
Finish new garage exterior workbench
Powerwash smaller deck in preparation for sanding and staining


Yes, I slept just great last night.

Darn you Bill I wish I had so many things I could do. The most I'll be able to do tomorrow weather permitting is mow my "itty bitty" lawn, as I believe you called it!

Oh well, if people would book car valets (cleaning) with me I'd be busy as **** and enjoy it, but they won't, so there you go.

Such is life.

Got my my coffee drank for the day. 59 degrees with clouds and light rain. Heading to 61 with clouds and brisk wind. Wife decided that projects can wait. Drove RV down to Shipshewana, IN for some shopping, flea marketing and auctions.

I have been doing house wiring for 30 years yet it still surprises me when something I do works the way it is supposed to. Many people I know who are skilled in mechanical trades don't want to have anything to do with electrical work because of the danger, but I tell them with only a high school education I have never been injured by working on wiring and it's actually easy to do.

The key phrase is, I tell them:

"Black and red wires mark the hot, while the white wires are not. And bare green is ground the world around"

Simple, huh? :laughing: 54 here now, got some rainfall overnight, more is forecast for today.

Good Morning! 68 heading to mid 80s, a cool front heading in and it will be cooler tomorrow. I Hope to have 30 bags of cement poured on the compass rose by 10 AM finishing up the west half. The run will have to wait till this evening as I need the all my reserve energy for a fast pour.

Roy are you still with us?

editpps should looked at the radar first. That cool front is passing through Dallas now with one area of thunderstorms heading in our direction. I can't have interruption, we are on hold....

We really enjoyed the dining at the Blue Gate restaurant in the middle of downtown there...the meatloaf sandwich is sinfully good. There is also a privately owned car museum Hostetler's Husdon Auto Museum in Shipshewana, Indiana -- The largest collection of Hudson automobiles and trucks in the world. that is well worth visiting.,

I connect the wires, close my eyes and hope I don't get a bad surprise!
I hook up the white and green and black and red and turn on the breaker and hope I don't wake up dead!

I'm a firm believer that electricity is half physics and half black magic.

Morning all. No idea the temp here outside of Denver. I will say it looked terribly dry in the fields as we were landing...

At least the first night in a hotel I never sleep well due to naps on the plane, too many things different (noises etc.) so I'm both over slept and tired at the same time.

Should be a good couple days of training though.

Very chilly in and out this morning, I've had the boiler going for about an hour now but my hands are still cold.

Then again, my hands and feet are always like blocks of ice for some reason.

It's due to get to 9*C/48*F today at the hottest, yep, summer is over!

Might mow the lawn if it stays dry and sunny.

Good Morning!

The last winter we had here in the Northeast was a mild one and as a result our HVAC business was lackluster at best. Then came the hot, hot, hot summer that followed and man we are whipped. Quite frankly a nice Fall is most welcome and will give us the opportunity to gear up for winter. Just hope this winter to follow is a real "killer".
