Just stopped in to check some threads now that wifey is up. 28 @ 7:30 and grass was extremely crunchy. Decided to give storage shed a good cleaning and took everything out on lawn. Looks like a garage sale. 43 now @ 10:00 so sun is doing a great job. Changed flannel shirt and carhart jacket for a tee and spring jacket. Now it is time to decide what goes back in and what I will need next week after I get rid of it today.:laughing:

Boy, I just don't understand Michigan...ronjhall has "75 degrees this morning. Heading to 88" in Howell, MI; JDgreen227 is scraping frost off his wife's windshield and wondering if it'll get warm enough for outside work today!

It's the magic of being retired and being a Winter Texan. Hate to be leaving south TX next week for MI weather. Good thing I am going to take a month to do it.

I really can't complain, but I do a little, just to keep my hand in there It is much nicer than commuting 100+ miles per day, spending 12.5 hours in a factory building, getting to work in the dark, coming home in the dark. I am very fortunate!!!!

Well then... Just so you know, I am way, WAY out of your path, and I don't have water or electric you could hook up, but there is plenty of level parking up near the pasture and you would be most welcome to drop by here and say howdy an have a beer or a cup of coffee (Maybe some kind of meat cooked with wood?).

Hi all, was 28 here earlier but up to 32 now, went out to scrape off the wifes car about 7 am and saw the full moon just as it was setting to the west. The entire 5 acres of yard is mowed, trimmed, and weed whacked and this is probably the first time I will be caught up until the dry spell of summertime. Was telling myself just how much time and work and expense having this huge yard is, then last night I took my guys (the four cats) out to the north acre where they could romp, play, and sniff for mice and chase birds...made me appreciate having so much property after all. My step sis has 3 cats and they have to endure being cooped up in a tiny apartment and they never get out except to go to the vets office. Going to sit out tonight and enjoy our first bonfire of the year.

36 early, 59 now, already helped the wife clean house, sprayed the driveway for weeds, and weed whacked around the house. Mowed yesterday and now I'm looking for an excuse to get out the tractor!:thumbsup:
