Not really much to it...just a rumble of thunder...maybe a bit of lightning. I've never experienced it as anything similar to a severe thunderstorm.
The only thing about it is one doesn't expect thunder in the winter...not around this area, at least.

We got a LOT of thunder and rain yesterday, no sign of lightning as it was so overcast. 33 degrees here right now.

33 and going into the 50's. Lots of thunder the other day. Really shook the house a couple of times. We see a lot of turkeys here, sometimes 20 or 30 in big flocks. I've had them chase my chickens into the coop.

Drizzling rain off and on here in central Alabama today. Grass needs mowing but it will have to wait until it dries a day or so. Temps in the mid 70's today and reaching into the mid 80's this coming week. We have had very little winter this year and we have the mosquitos to prove it!

Thunder snow is spectacular if you get a good one. Best I ever experienced was 1973 in Elizabeth City, NC. Yep, a place that rarely gets much snow, but when they do it can be a big one. This one left 14" and it all fell in about 8 hours at around 32 degrees. The snow was falling so hard you couldn't see across the driveway but the lightening was brilliant and looked like something from the apocalypse.:thumbsup:

Hmmmm....I have always thought the plural of lightning was "lightninged"....did a Google search and there seem to be a lot of differing opinions.
What do the rest of you call it? My wife says it's "lightning" both singular and plural.

David, it is a "blast", If you've ever elk hunted during the rut, it is somewhat similar. Both types of "Wild Turkey" are good in moderation
just not together.:thumbsup:
