Rigby is now "master" of the Teeter-Totter. We place a dog treat at the far side, he walks up it, it pivots, and he's down the other side to get the treat. Then do it in reverse. Fast action means lots of treats so it's his favorite thing now. You can see in the picture he is starting to get his adult fur now.

Hope the healing continues. Glad you can go without pills.

Good evening all. 73ºF for the start, overcast sky, breezy. Moderate wind, brisk gusts, sky cleared off then back to overcast, no rain, and high temp was 87ºF, HI 90ºF. Made coffee to start day some putter early then bike ride, nap after lunch did oven fried catfish my neighbor caught for dinner. Today would have been my 47 anniversary.
Prayers Mostly.
My wife's uncle lost his wife to covid, and he is still grieving quite a bit.

RNG just emailed me and is all set to solder my wires when I get to Orcutt CA. I will have a brand new transfer switch to install by then, maybe he can be my official world famous rv tech....

Kyle, are you a football coach? I read a third child died this year of football injuries, have always wondered if the fun of the game we all love is just too dangerous for little kids. I worry that sometimes these boys play just to please their fathers. Other sports much less risky; I played soccer.
I know they have improved equipment safety, clearly you can't get all the risk out of this game. For adults, fine. 10 year olds?
I think I'd be a nervous wreck, which is one reason I probably didn't have kids
Glad RNG can solder your wires!

No, not a football coach. Never played a down of organized FB. Just have about 60 years growing up watching it.
Heat exhaustion is the biggest culprit and is such a bad thing. Now the purveyor of Texas high school sports, (UIL) has announced new rules concerning it, mainly the wet bulb temp and how long they can play in the heat. One state rep wants to delay the start of schools and colleges until after Labor day, to help the ERCOT grid out. Also the heat problems for the athletes. I hope it gains traction. 2 years ago, I stood up in the gymnasium and asked the coaches if any of them have been trained for heat exhaustion symptoms. They gave me a so so answer. Told my son to DRINK WATER, and a gatorade every 3rd drink.
Love reading all the cool temps you guys are having. Been nice here, too.

Yesterday it took me over 3 hours to lube the zero turn. I don't think I'm slow, and pretty sure I didn't fall asleep when I crawled underneath part of it. It has 2 drive shafts, and they can be a bear to line up and reach. Then mowed another 2 hours.

So, today I took Della on her first true mountain climb to the top. Great 50s hiking weather. Great other hikers and their dogs.
Man's Best Friend! Good to see Della on a mountain top! Now she's gonna be hounding you to GO! Hope she lets you take a nap.

Work was busy busy. Been praying for some financial relief. Got a raise! Thank you! My boss told me I actually make more than him....uh oh. Good thing he loves me.

Everything's high.

Horrible tragedy in Georgia. Prayers for the families and injured.

Saw some crazy driving coming into town. BMW blows a stop sign, he stops at next red light, but kept inching out to where he was directly under the light when it turned green. Then he weaved over in front of truck in turn lane as he took off. Pretty soon a car was turning right from in front of him, he passes in oncoming lane, and almost crashed head first into an oncoming car, that fortunately jerked his vehicle to the shoulder. then this guy passes another on yellow line.. Pulled up next to him at the next light, he was hunched way down in the seat. at next light, which had 5-6 cars backed up, he passed and went straight from the right turn lane. Last I saw of that fool.
Anyway one looks at it he just plan selfish and not just driving either.

Poured cup of coffee. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with partly cloudy skies. Got battery charger installed in golf cart. Helps to read instruction. Even when they are hard to understand. Letting it charge overnight. Worked on cleaning louvered doors in laundry room. Sure look good when cleaned. But it takes some time and effort to get there. Two more to do. Grocery shopping this morning. then back to yesterday's projects.

Good morning, the low is 55 and going to a high of 79°F. Wind SSE 6 mph. Sunny!
Roller coaster temps for the next 5 days. Typical September.

We searched all outside yesterday in all three garages and no cube lights. Today I will search inside the house. I did find some other stuff that was missing, so the search wasn't a bust.

We've got 4 cooler rainy days coming up and that is when I want to do the lights. It is only a one maybe two hour job, so four days should just about cover it.

Time to get my goobers into me.

Have a safe day all

55 heading to 77...nice again...spoiling me.

Congrats on the raise, Kyle.

Ron, louvered doors are fun to clean, right? Nope.

Plow, teeter totter sounds like a good way to give Rigby some exercise and agility. He's growing fast.

Ken, glad you get to work from home most of the time...that commute sounds rough.

/ Good morning!!!! #196,117
hopefully cooler temperatures
going to be 47 for next two nights, in SD and WY.
good morning all from Onawa Iowa.
Headed North to White Lake SD.

geez.....
wet floor in the bathroom (AGAIN). Not anywhere I worked on, this time inside the tiny floor vanity, way in back, at bottom. Of course....drip, drip, drip. I dried everything up, jammed a towel in there, and will deal with probably this afternoon. Can't see where it's leaking, hose goes into a four inch square plastic piece and leaking out of bottom of that. This builder sure hides their crummy work inside boxes...
so this afternoon I'll pull all the stuff out of there and see if I can figure out what's leaking. For now, off goes the water and turn it on when I need it.
maybe another repair on RNG's every growing list. I really am glad he is on the way, but not for another couple weeks.

problem with the drip of thankfully clean water is it sits on bottom of fake woodwork, the not real wood expands and gets wrecked. So to avoid more of that, have stuffed an extra towel on floor. I brought SIX big towels for this, once bitten...

last night electricity went out twice. Oh no, the transfer switch. No, bad breaker, again, once again plugged into 50amp with 30 amp adapter and no problems. I think I may do that more often. It would not surprise me if connections on transfer box still drawing too much current. Running microwave and a/c and battery charger and fridge, equals unhappiness.
Not even thinking about using electric hot water heater until repairs made.

thought about taking a longer route North to go through corner of Nebraska, and pick up another state sticker for my map, but I looked at route carefully and it involved about 20 turns. No thanks.

so staying on 9 until I get to 90 and then head West
past the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD. I have seen a million pics of that, my friends visited it three times on trips and sent me tons of pics. Not easy to park near it either, so I'll wave as I go by. Interesting they say drought kept them from doing new corn murals a few years ago. It seems pretty dry out here.

next two places have gravel roads like this one, would be nice if it rained and settled the dust first

good morning, 51 going to 76 sunny

The battery turned out to not be able to hold a charge. Got a new one and installed it. The high ah rating makes it expensive. Ordered a couple of more trickle charges. Had some batteries last 12 to 14 years not this one just over two years which is the warranty.

May get back to fire wood tasks, winter is coming

Good Morning
It’s 46° with a high in the low 70’s under a clear sky again. A great day to be outside.

Been making great progress on the old folks home, the stone masons cut and set the blue stone sills. It was interesting to see them work the saw cut surfaces with an oxy-acetylene torch to pop off the smooth surface.

I got the radiant heat fired up and balanced the flow through all the loops, I was able to set it to the design gpm for each loop. The tile is moving along, today the hardwood floors get installed.

There is concern about how green the mantle is, and how stable it will be if we set it now. I have it in the climate controlled shop with fans blowing across it, and the moisture meter says it’s dropped from 24% to 14%, and it’s lost 18lbs.
There is some checking, but it is staying straight so far.

I also have been rotating it every day as well.

All of this progress has come at the expense of the little plane, I still haven’t got it finished and back together.
Maybe I’ll get there today while they’re working on the floor, and I can’t do anything else.
