hopefully cooler temperatures
going to be 47 for next two nights, in SD and WY.
good morning all from Onawa Iowa.
Headed North to White Lake SD.
geez.....
wet floor in the bathroom (AGAIN). Not anywhere I worked on, this time inside the tiny floor vanity, way in back, at bottom. Of course....drip, drip, drip. I dried everything up, jammed a towel in there, and will deal with probably this afternoon. Can't see where it's leaking, hose goes into a four inch square plastic piece and leaking out of bottom of that. This builder sure hides their crummy work inside boxes...
so this afternoon I'll pull all the stuff out of there and see if I can figure out what's leaking. For now, off goes the water and turn it on when I need it.
maybe another repair on RNG's every growing list. I really am glad he is on the way, but not for another couple weeks.
problem with the drip of thankfully clean water is it sits on bottom of fake woodwork, the not real wood expands and gets wrecked. So to avoid more of that, have stuffed an extra towel on floor. I brought SIX big towels for this, once bitten...
last night electricity went out twice. Oh no, the transfer switch. No, bad breaker, again, once again plugged into 50amp with 30 amp adapter and no problems. I think I may do that more often. It would not surprise me if connections on transfer box still drawing too much current. Running microwave and a/c and battery charger and fridge, equals unhappiness.
Not even thinking about using electric hot water heater until repairs made.
thought about taking a longer route North to go through corner of Nebraska, and pick up another state sticker for my map, but I looked at route carefully and it involved about 20 turns. No thanks.
so staying on 9 until I get to 90 and then head West
past the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD. I have seen a million pics of that, my friends visited it three times on trips and sent me tons of pics. Not easy to park near it either, so I'll wave as I go by. Interesting they say drought kept them from doing new corn murals a few years ago. It seems pretty dry out here.
next two places have gravel roads like this one, would be nice if it rained and settled the dust first
