Good morning......1st cup of coffee gone....really need another. Yesterday was a LONG day at a mine troubleshooting an engine problem. I know the engine is the source of an electrical problem (CAN bus shutdown), the engine people can稚 accept it. Long story...but my day off is now another work day....

And I need to deal with this dead beat roofer today. So far decent work....but his ability to manage his business is becoming a serious problem.....at least the garage is done.

Thoughts to everyone who needs them.

Have a safe and good day

Good morning. It's 78°F with 96% humidity this morning and forecast to get to 101°F this afternoon. It looks like at least another week of 100°+ days for us.

I've got to drive up to La Grange for a Dr. visit, then back to find things I can do with one of the A/C tractors.

I might go help a neighbor level out an old washout, from last spring, while I've got the bucket on the 55 HP tractor.

Eric ..... Medicare makes our heads hurt sometimes here too. I've been relative happy with it generally but, I've got no major health issues to speak of and only one prescription.

Thomas ..... has BOO BOO moved on? Or planning the next assault?

Don .... nice work in your "rock yard". Is the windmill over a water well or a landscape feature?

Everyone have an excellent Friday.

Prayers to all

Reminds me of all the Coors beer brought home from Colorado when I was still living in Ohio. We didn't know it was supposed to be kept refrigerated, and we also didn't know what it was supposed to taste like. Just the fact that we couldn't get it was enough to make it think it was good.

Tim Smith, reality TV series "Moonshiners" star and now legal distiller, just came out with a series of aged whiskys that don't seem to be available out here yet. A link on the Ciimax Facebook page went to a place to order them, so all three are on their way here now. Pretty sure all three use the electrical rapid aging process he came up with for that big batch of moonshine a couple years ago, which turned out pretty well. :drink:

We did the same with Coors back in the 70s.

My wife and I met Tim Smith and his wife in June when they came to the Rassawek festival near here. Good people. His moonshine is made at a distillery I passed by on the way to the mountains yesterday.

I pay about 380 bucks a month total for Medicare and the local best BC/BS wrap policy, and have never
paid a penny to any doc, or facility, and gosh I go to plenty, it's all paid by insurance. And never a protest.
Considering they charge 5 grand for an MRI, I really wish someone would make an issue out of that...
I get a lot of MRI's and boy are they ridiculously expensive versus an xray. Those MRI clinics owned by the docs
must make huge profits.

I actually read the statements I get every month from Medicare, wow, all that paper they waste,
heavy weight paper in larger type, with a two page privacy message, also on nice paper, and then some translation into Spanish and maybe
other languages. I pull out the junk part and it goes to recycling. As does the rest of my junk mail.
So much waste.

Very hot day today, at least 95/110 I bet, but not like Texas. Don, nice job with the rocks. Did you have a helper to place them?

Very glad there are oxygen gizmos to help those with breathing problems. We so take normal breathing for granted, watching my late wife get asthma attacks
was seriously scary. And my last memory of my grandfather was sitting in his old chair hooked up to a three foot tall bottle of oxygen on a cart.
He was a heavy smoker because back then, smoking was a sign of sophistication, boy that tobacco marketing worked didn't it.
Now another grandfather smoked a pipe with cherry tobacco and my that smelled nice.
He would sit in his library surrounded by walls of books, and I felt I was in some kind
of Harry Potter scene, loved every minute of it, second hand smoke or not.

Poured first cup of coffee. 51° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with sunny skies. Got grocery shopping done. Dr. appointment went well. We are switching primary care Dr. Visit to new Dr. went they way it should. The necessary things that wife needs for Quality of Life were addressed. Dr visit set up for Pek tube advisory visit. All the rules that are being put on Medicare Dr's is ridiculous. Our old Dr was following the rules and filling out all kinds of forums. He forgot to take care of patients needs.
Going to Cut fields today.

Jim, I like your attitude. We review every line on the statements we get from Medicare. Which allows us to ask why the price is so high and can we do something else. Some of the things that Medicare does in their billing has created high prices in the places where there are loopholes. Solving prices starts at Medicare Management. I am not sure that anyone know who that is. Our big complaints are pointed at Med cost. On of the meds my wife takes is $15,000 per month. When you are caught up in this type of cost. It's pretty hard to say I will buy a portable condenser at $3000 on my own. Enough of my Medicare rant.

Eric, you sure are a glutton for punishment. We have part A, B and D. With a C plan supplemental and D plan prescription. :confused3:

Roy, with my low of 51° this morning. You may have another of those 40° morning tomorrow.

Don, nice project.

Buckeye, hope you got a good night's sleep. Prayers sent.

Randy and others recovering. Best wishes for continued recovery. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.

70 going to 92. maybe a little rain. Got a nice shower Wednesday night.

Wife had her yoga group here yesterday, so I took Coco up to the mountains...climbed Hawksbill again since it was so nice last time. We had the peak to ourselves with a stiff breeze and about 60F. Then a nice couple from Florida came up and talked for a while. Passed 13 folks and a dog on the long way down...I like getting on the trail earlier than most, I guess.

Eric, Medicare looks complicated, and at first is a bit intimidating...but it gives us so much in choices.

Speaking of Medicare, hope Randy is doing well. and BEF, get well and go home soon!
