This is what the fire looks like about 15m away. Here it was smoky so we left for the day. Returned smoke has lifted making smoke clouds.
Good to get away to breathe air! Plus today's our anniversary, together 51 years. Hard to imagine!

Been good day all in all, spent most of day lawn ditches cleaning from leaves was able to catch last quarter NYG vs WC and NYG won.

Plans for the evening feet up watch some tv share bowl ice cream,might taste test 3 mini cherry and 3 strawberry cheese cakes Mrs. made today....after she goes to bed.

41F and clear, headed down to around 30F for the overnight low. 50.7F was the day's high. A little chillier tomorrow ... only calling for a high of 47F.

Spent the afternoon today watching the Browns and the Steelers. Browns showed once again why they are called the "Kardiac Kids" ... lol ...

Did get outside after that, pulled the charger off the van and reconnected battery ground cable.

Then picked up pumpkin chunks off the lawn and put them in the garden, also did some leaf grinding with the mower. Cub almost out of gas.

After the sun went down I headed down to Menards and picked up the order.

Stopped by the cheap gas station on way back and grabbed 2 gallons which should be enough to get whatever is left of the leaves ground up and blown.

Leaves are almost all down at this point, just the two big oaks left and not much on them.

Partially unloaded the van when I got back, will finish that up tomorrow.

Did not get around to replacing the water heater anode yesterday, might give that a shot later.

Woman just went over to let neighbors dogs out, is picking up a small pizza on her way back which I will probably have a bite of, already killed off the last Hebrew National.

She asked how much rain we had gotten on Friday and I hadn't checked. Turns out the LWS reported it was 1.83" ... so we got a pretty good soaking.

Got another Menards rebate check in the mail yesterday, to go with the other one I have. Those will get used on the garage heater project.

Back to reading over the install instructions for the heater so I can figure out exactly what I need for the flue system.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 12.7C and it's presently 20.2C, overcast with a steady breeze.

Well, today's plan of carrying on with wood-stacking has been put on hold 'til tomorrow; a text reminder said that I have a 'driver's medical' this arvo @ 1600. So I've decided to do a load of towels in the dhobi-machine, a whipper-snipper trip around the house followed by a Z-turn mow prior to the appointment. Garbage bin needs to be dumped too.

That's about it, take care all.

Hello people, time to wake up already !

Still around 0 C, almost no wind, cloudy but dry. Very calm

Was super-exhausted, slept like dead. Even kids making noise wasnt disturbance. Kids have slept in car, so at bed time they were exited. They were watching movie Exodus. Basically Bible stories made like action movie

No big plans for today.
Have to get car clean and at 1700 have appointment at barber-shop. All 3 of us. Barber there is nice got-style girl, leather fashion etc

A little late/early here on Sunday evening/Monday morning. Had a bout of ‘food poisoning’ or something that kept me out of service for a few days. Hit me on Thursday night. Had to be the tacos that night. Didnt eat anything else all day. Only place I went was to coffee at the bank that morning and back home to work. Then went to get tacos and about 2 hours later sick as a dog All fine now.

Weather is showing some potential tornados in ETex/WLa area on Monday. Predict some much cooler weather. Which is good.

Missed Church Sunday morning. Up at 3am For about 2 hrs.

Guess being laid up a couple days made me want to work Sunday afternoon. Cleaned out one building and got started on another one. Got junk loaded in truck to head to dump later Monday. Then to JD dealer for parts order pick up and to see if they still have Moto-Mix for the sale price.

Ran the Stihl backpack blower a little Sunday afternoon. WOT for an hour straight will use a full tank of fuel. Had a heavy accumulation of leaves and pine needles to push back. Took about 2 1/2 hours. Wind helped for a good bit.

Prayers for our Country, ******, all who have lost loved ones and the next generation.

Just started brewing coffee. 24° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 44° with cloudy skies. Cleaned gutters and down spouts on house and garage. Put a couple of items I missed in cellar. More leaf blowing. Was a great fall day to be outside. Time to shut water off to outside faucets.

good morning all from Malabar Florida, 63 out now going up to around 80. Looks like weather is quickly cooling as I head North, some rain later today in Georgia when I get there.

I like this place but will never come back. The noisiest campground by far in all my experience. Between the active train tracks close by and that highway in front, sounds like I'm parked in Jersey City.

Good morning, the low is 13 and the high going to 27°F. Wind N 3 mph. Sunny!

Fire is fed and good until 0700 hrs. I will throw some bigger wood into it then.

My new Logitech keyboard arrived and installed on Sunday morning.
The last keyboard the space bar was acting up and sometimes (more often than not) wouldn't space, so I would have to re-read everything I wrote and edit. All good now.
