Picked up some antifreeze and made up some 50/50 solution and checked the ZT after topping off with the refractometer. Plan to check the other water cooled engines as well. Calibrated the refractometer with distilled water and set it for Zero.

Also tok a picture from the barn showing the new growth of the walnut and oak trees. The locust trees will die out at 15 or so years but the Oaks and walnuts will go on for many years. The Locust trees can be thinned out now if we need it for firewood or fence posts since the canopy is well established with the other trees

61°F and cloudy this morning, only got up to 72° today. We only got drizzle all day here. iThingie weather widget says we got .9". I think they must have misplaced the decimal ... more like .09" would be my guess.

Got about half of the grass mowed yesterday, using the walk behind. Took me about four hours. 19,114 steps, according to the iThingie's Health widget, just under 11 miles of walking. I definitely needed the exercise.

Spent part of today taking apart a damaged bass speaker cabinet I bought used. Seems it took a tumble during delivery (failed "The UPS Test") and broke the driver off the high frequency horn. Easy fix to replace it, but aggravated that I have to in the first place.

Surprisingly, I don't feel awful today. I did get in a decent 45 minute nap, though.

Hope everyone is well.

Good evening, gents.

Storms blew thru here about 2 hrs ago. We had just unloaded table at sons new place. I got washer and dryer hooked up and tested. Yesterday I had to change the dryer cable to a 4 prong cable, instead of the 3. I plugged it in, without hooking up the vent for a quick test, and it blew out a bunch of lint and junk. I wonder if a mouse came out with it. it made a mess. But I forgot plyers to hook up washer drain, so got it all done tonight.
Got an expensive pizza afterwards. Sons Comcast is out from the storm.

Good (Monday 'King's BD Holiday') morning. Overnight Low was 4C and it's presently 15.6C, fairly clear and calm.

The 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' & daughter, unexpectedly, returned from their weekend horse riding adventure last evening at around 1730. Nothing was wrong, they all just decided that one night's Winter camping was enough.

She's requested a new round of hay into the existing Paddock, this arvo at 1300. I've got a Church Council meeting later at 1530. So I'll putter around between times.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening! A challenging day because of the heat - 100˚F, no breeze, and heat index of 108˚. Iced neck wrap and a snow cone made it tolerable.
The Sunflower field is 2% opened blooms and should be in full bloom in two weeks when the festival starts. There is a bright red Farmall-A in the picture but the sunflower are so tall all you can see is the top of the muffler.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
house still warm this morning, back up to 80 today with rain coming in this afternoon.
Really looking forward to that rain. Gusty winds with system so first thing to do this morning is pull in awning on rv.
I figure this rain will black streak the rv even more, so better to wait to wash it until after rain.

worked on my trip to Michigan over July 4th last night, trying to squeeze in one more day after I leave Ron's home near Detroit and want to head up west side
of Upper Peninsula so I can go through the cherry areas. I found a farm stand with a big parking lot so I can get rv in there.
Hope to take a cherry pie with me as a house present.

Mostly, that's an impressive adventure, glad to have you back. hope you had a great deal of fun

the impact of route 95 being fully closed in Philadelphia is going to be immense. All that traffic sent off, I'm guessing much to NJ to take 295 North.
it will be months before that bridge is fixed unless they do something temporary. And here I went over that same spot with rv two days earlier and now the road
is totally impassable. Phew.

Don, those sunflowers will looks awesome when field is full. Reminds me of my last field planted in NC before I left.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…).

62F going to low 80e, sunnier day forecast.

thinderstorms overnight kept Senior dog nervous so she was up and whining for a couple hours, running a bit slow this morning as a result.

Grey rainy day was very welcome, what with new planting the evening before. Got partly sunny about 3pm but plants got a good watering. I need to get some tomato supports aet up in the next couple days, but it will be too slick/muddy to go up until this evening, probably do it tomorrow.

pictures one month apart:

Slowly getting there!

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

I had to chuckle over this article.
you shell out 60 grand for your new Tesla last year.
For that you get your own exclusive charging spots, best system in the country.
Then your buddy Elon drops the price of your car ten grand and nothing back for you.
you take the hit.
Then Fed gov investigates Tesla for false claims about self driving and your ten thousand dollar self driving option
still doesn't do what they said it would do.
you take the hit.

Then Elon announces that you will now have to compete with hordes of Chevrolet Bolts at your exclusive
Tesla superchargers since a deal was just cut.
This is a very big deal to EV owners.
I wonder what GM had to pay for this right.
maybe you take a hit, probably likely.

during the super cold weather last winter only the Tesla systems reliably worked. Most others dumbed down to a slower rate or didn't
work at all. I wonder how Scandinavia does it? They are going almost all electric.

I'm waiting for the first shoot out at a charging station...

anyone here own a Tesla?
how do you feel about sharing?
particularly with those cars that take three times longer than yours to charge.
Oh no....there's a Nissan Leaf in my spot.

Good morning, low temp is 57 and going to a high of 63°F. Wind ENE 8 mph. Rain at times heavy this afternoon.

I think I will leave for the Bay at about 9 A.M. That will get me there for about 10 (I am 45 minutes south of North Bay.), grease my 5th wheels and get ready for a busy summer.

Stay safe all

67 going to 82.

Congratulations on getting the new puppy, Buppies. Looks happy.

Mostly, awesome trip. Glad no major problems.

Don, I think I found it.

Had a nice day on the river at friends' yesterday...kayak fishing...smallies and brim. Nice cookout and swapping stories.

When we owned our condo in Florida, there was someone (not a resident) who visited almost every day to play tennis on our courts with a friend, and who plugged in their leaf onto our complex’s electric every time…

Good morning. Rain is here very soon is what the FC tells us

Going to drop off Cody at the groomer this morning. His double coat needs frequent attention to keep shedding down. Fire alarm told me this morning " change battery" and woke me up. It is linked over 3 floors and talks to you. Of course no batteries left so need to get more. May stop at Costco and load up on a few things as well.

Drew, the electric car industry is still in the early stages. What is the status of the electric build out overall to get ready for the new generation of cars?

I've been hunting cherries this morning.
as in where to pull in the motorhome at a cherry farm in Northern Michigan.
figured I'd add a day to this trip, subtracting one from time in Cedarville, to spend a night in N/W Michigan.
Highly rated campground near Traverse City, pretty snooty, only class A, C and fifth wheel. No B or conventional trailer. ??
well for one night. And 28 feet minimum. Ooohhh by a hair length with the spare tire am I 28 feet long...

So I come up from Ron's home West of Detroit and loop off to the West to take in the shoreline drive finally leading up to Mackinaw bridge.
On the way back RS is going to come visit me in my campground at (sure had to look this name up...) Mogadore Ohio.

I found some cheap sparklers in the supermarket locally, that was easy, so hope to arrive in Cedarville with a cherry pie and sparklers.
and a whole bunch of little American flags I need to decorate the rv site with.

Mostly, welcome back. What part of the trail did you ride? Relatives of mine lived or still live near Sedalia, others near Boonville. Both near the trail.

Drew, there is a very contentious thread regarding EV’s already. You can read all about it in that thread.

You would also like visiting Hartville Hardware while in Akron area. Big place.
