Good morning!!!!

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low was a surprising 10.6C and it's presently 15.8C. There's a stiff breeze from the South and it's mostly sunny. There was 0.8mm in the gauge.

I was 'up' fairly early this morning but not as early as the "Mad Horse Woman"; there was no horse in Paddock #2 and the gate to the adjacent paddock (where her first horse is) was wide open. I eventually spotted both of them, together, so the 'few days of getting acquainted' has been cut short.

Last evening's meeting was fine and I was home by 1740.

That's about it, take care all.

I'll bet the two horses made the decision for you. One jumped the fence. Might as well leave the gate open.

Good evening all. 64ºF for the start calm breeze, fog. Fog lifted by 7:30, partly cloudy skies, light wind, and high temp was 84ºF HI 88ºF. Carp shock today, had to get up and get going. Pic is morning haul, filled the bucket with afternoon haul. We are having impact, not many carp in the last weeks hot spots, spent more time shocking east shoreline docks and more productive. Quit about 2PM, unloaded fish, put boat back on trailer and headed home. Did get lunch in, nap in, and have T storms raining on us. Radar estimate of 1 inch.

Yes, L4N, as it turns out, the new horse opened the gate on it's own! 😲

They're getting on fine with each other. (y)

53F and clear @ 23:45, heading down to around 48F for the low overnight.

Another reasonably productive day.

Refilled mealworm feeder with 20 mealworms first thing.

Than ran down to the corner and picked up 7 gallons of gas (in two 5 gallon cans) for the Cub ... after emptying the one can that had diesel in it into the Kubota.

Woman reports the asparagus is doing much better as a result of her weeding efforts ... She also reports She is finding more strawberry plants amongst the weeds ... (y)

When I got back I refilled the one tank on the Cub that was empty.

Took Kubota over to the barn and took soil screener up to the compost/wood lot.

Postman came by with mail and the box of plants: two blueberries, three rhubarb, and another 40 strawberries.

Then I started cutting the grass on the east side. Got that all done.

Once I was finished with that I started mowing the front.

Woman decided She was hungry and wanted a small pepperoni pizza from Guiseppe's. Picked me up a medium deluxe with little fishies on the side.

Stopped to eat when She got back, terrorist cat (aka "The Squeak") had her "fish radar" nose on high alert.

Found out she really does like anchovies ...

Had a couple pieces of pizza and headed back out to continue with mowing the front.

Got front all finished up around 19:00, checked mealworm feeder ... only four remaining ... (y)

Parked Cub down at the house and took the Kubota up and started screening compost:

Still need to finish cutting the grass on the west side ... but I'd say her estimate of 50% done weeding on that northwest planting bed is about right.

Hostas coming in nicely ... despite all the browsing by the deer:

Couple more pictures of iris blooms from today:

Just unboxed plants.

Hope everyone had a great Monday ... (y)

Ron's pics finally showed up.

Back late from the neighborhood team Hand and Foot tournament. There were 26 teams. I grabbed my wife for our team and we came in third place. luckily only 1st and 2nd place got monetary prizes so we were not subject to extra income tax.

Only rained 2/10" today. Will check potatoes tomorrow.

Sounds like a great opportunity for pics and videos the local enforcement types could find useful.
Up again too early - first car wasninpatient and beeping horn.

this little street is a dead end. Closer to the subdivision entrance, there are two houses, across the road from each other, which must be passed in order to reach druggies.

on one side, is the County ADA.

On the other side, is the Ristrict Attornwy four 5 counties, and the ADA’s boss.

Neither of whom open their windows… unlike us.

they are well-aware of what goes on, there have been several instances of LE activity at the house. F&##ing useless. If it had been any of the prosecutors I had work under in NJ, this crap would have been terminated 8 years ago, when it started.

Nothing I say or do is going to change anything, other than potentially make us, our dogs, and our property targets of druggies or their friends. We have our nice, high fence, I throw all the thorny vine trimming over it in strategic places. They pretty much know that if they leave us alone, we leave them alone.

we moved 753 miles out of inner-city decay, and here we go again. . .

Coffee has finished brewing. 38° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 77° with mix of sun and clouds. Did more weeding and cleaning up of gardens. Dr. appointment this morning. Then back to yard work.
Suet cakes do not last long when Pileated Woodpecker shows up at feeders.

Drew, good travel plans.

Don, not sure why pictures are not showing. I post using Chrome on a PC. Checked using TBN APP and Tapatalk on iPad and iPhone. All work as they should. I use Imgur.com to post my pictures.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

If you aren’t going to reuse the staples, why not just snip the fence on one side, pull though on the other, and just leave them there?

I’ve tried that and it was more laborious than pulling the staples, also makes dealing with the old fabric more troublesome.
I did pull the trigger and ordered the Milwaukee fence stapler and Makita battery adapter though.

4 Pc Step Bits, SAE + Center Punch) the center punch works good but that is all that works. The drills might be okay for tin foil, but not for mild steel.

I learned my lesson on step drills. Lennox or Unibit are actually worth what they cost because they actually work and hold up.

another nice day in Eastern PA
off early this morning to have breakfast with friend in Newtown, then will get my car washed there, by far best car wash around.
they do the inside windows nicely, main reason I go.
Then back home awaiting second attempt for Verizon to get me hooked up this afternoon.

Eyes itchy when I went to bed, itchy when I got up, using a lot of eye drops. Pollen just raining down.

need to get moving and go out and pick some radishes, promised them to friend am meeting for breakfast.

I may have to buy that one too after getting all the fence poles in. Already have the batteries.
Are you planning to use 1 1/2 inch staples?

Good Morning.
It’s 48 with a high of 78 forecast under clear skies. Drew is correct, it’s another nice day here.

Yesterday I had fun flying up to Stewart, I hadn’t flown a tail wheel airplane in many years, it was great getting back to the basics. If you zoom in on the horizon you can see the Manhattan skyline.

North Jersey is a lot more rural than you might think, this was around Dover, NJ.

Did a little welding job for neighbor when I got home, put a hitch receiver on his golf cart. It’s one of the street legal ones, I was surprised how fast it goes.

Zoe did somewhere between excellent and awful at class depending on the task and distraction. She actually understands and is capable of doing what is asked, but is a bit like a child with ADD.

Today will be a trip to tractor supply for a few rolls of fence wire, have another small welding job for another neighbor, hope to get to the airport and make some more progress on the little plane, try and connect with Drew to take care of his RV projects. Breakfast with the professor is postponed until tomorrow, but I see the wife made a good looking quiche yesterday that I’m going to heat up for this am.

60 going to 79 and storms coming.

Mark, prayers for your recovery.

Boo is hungry after not eating during the winter.

So cool seeing that Pileated woodpecker on your suet. He have them come up to a dead limb on a cherry tree near the house, but never to the feeders.

Been hobbling around with a foot problem...so behind on my chores and hiking. Did have a wonderful Mother's Day meal here with MIL and son and his wife.
