Good morning!!!!

I once had to listen to a slovenly software developer complain how he got no respect, and didn't make as much money as his cohorts. I pointed out that one's personal appearance was a reflection of their values and behavior, and people's natural assumption is that his work was subpar in keeping with the rest of his nature. Needless to say, my remarks were not well received, even if they were accurate.:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Yup, had to go into town today to deal with auto repairs - before we left I had been spraying Great Stuff Big Gap foam ($2.99/can at Ace) in cracks that needed them. I was wearing workclothes, fairly clean but not spiffy. Wife asked if I was going to change. Told her heck no, I don't dress up to deal with workers that get dirty when they do honest labor.

I remember giving my youngest son the same talk when he was in his late teens. While reminding him that person doing the hiring was probably someone like me. In couple of weeks he will be 45 and is that guy that does the hiring. Actually decides if a temp employee gets to stay on the job. And appearance does matter.

Larro, good to hear from you, it looked like this all went over your head and apparently it did.
Sorry about the pine trees, what a mess. One last bumper crop but what a mess to clean up. Hope you have a grapple.
Glad your house is ok. I know you can't catch up on this but we've been worrying about you.
Larro takes one last walkabout to the river camp in the hurricane.... . . . . . .
I got down there the morning after the storm. {saw my good rake and really wished I had carried it out with me} Everyday I've meant to get back down there, but the days are too short. I'm assuming the road has been cleared by now, so I can take the Kabota {mule like thing} between the rows of young pines and get pretty close to the camp that way. That old tent weighed a ton dry, so I don't want to carry it wet any further than I have to.

The eye went over my 76 year old cousin's house, about 3-4 miles to the west of me. His old frame house lifted off the blocks and set back down at an angle. The fridge on the front porch fell across the door so he had to crawl out the window. He was on the phone with cousins in Tampa, and they were tracking it on their aviation radar app. They told him to drive to my house while it was calm. But we never had any calm, and he was barely in the eye. He got about three miles and was on the dirt road when the wind came back and blew him into the ditch, where he spent the 2nd half of the storm. He walked to the Tampa cousin's house, {which had a tree on it} and slept there. He walked on down my house the next morning. Only 3-4 miles, but the roads were full of trees. It was about lunch when he made it.

Good evening all. 54F for the start, partly cloudy, calm wind. Wind was non-factor most of the day, sky clouded up more but not complete overcast, and high temp hit 70F. Took boat in for a recall, the hydraulic steering might have improperly torqued fittings. They found one loose fitting and then we left to go to book store and Red Lobster. Took the boat out after we got home for an hour, tried to get a pic of house from lake but won't happen with sun behind my house.
Ron, how long before you get use of your arm back?
Randy nice pics, now hope you survive since your friend is doing better:D
Drew, nice wax job on the Massy
Larro, glad you and family are alright, man you have one heck of a clean-up
No PJs in public for me, rarely wear sweats around house, let alone in public :ashamed::confused2:
Got the lecture to dress the part when going to Chicago Machine tool Show, if you wanted the salesman to give you the time of day, you had to look like you could buy one. :D
prayers for all.
