Makes me think my buddy was exaggerating. Not the first time. I guess I should be more careful.

It varies a lot area to area, I wouldn’t accuse him of fibbing. My son paid about $120 in Front Royal, VA.

Not to bad this morning 44*, had a couple of thunderstorms go through yesterday afternoon and got some good rain out of them. Today is going to be partly cloudy and in the low 70's. Looks like it's going to be a nice day.

Looked at my work benches yesterday but didn't see anything I wanted to put away. I was thinking I wouldn't be able too find the stuff the next I needed it.

Wife has a Dr. appointment this afternoon in Park City Ut. That's about the only plans for today.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
CWB.

Good morning to all! A nice 55 this morning, going up to only 84. Temps slowly increasing during the week. No additional chance of rain all week. We did have .40" rain on Saturday, nice to see everything wet, but not enough to even dent the drought conditions. Some nearby areas got 1 1/2", some just a trace.

I really envy you guys getting rain, but surely don't miss or want the humidity. It's surprising here when it rains, humidity is still only 70-80%. Can't figure that one out. Sure beats 95 degrees and 90% humidity though.

Well, my light duty didn't last long. On Friday afternoon, another employee (one that did an internship with me years ago, then was my trainee a last year) hadn't seen me for the last few months and didn't know about my injury. He came running up behind me and grabbed me into a bear hug. With the momentum, we lunged forward, twisting the knee. Felt a "pop", instant pain, swelling shortly thereafter. Called the Doc and the WC adjuster....still waiting for return calls. Couldn't sleep last night longer than an hour at a time. I am so over this!

The workbenches are looking good guys! Keep up the good work! Maybe we can make a cleanest / most organized workshop thread ....:D

Drew, you are truly reaping the benefits of your garden project...

Don, I would have that area covered in about 30 seconds during one project :D

Jay must be really busy harvesting all the winter rock crop! Either that or Brogen is showing him "the ropes":confused2::eek:

Hope everyone stays cool and dry. Have a great start to the week! Prayers out for all!

75°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 95° again today. Whole weekend was just hot here. What little bit of outdoors work I got done both days was well before noon. Supposed to get a bit of a break by Thursday, with more normal temps in the low 80s.

The variety of workbench conditions displayed by you guys is quite entertaining. I've been at both ends of that spectrum. With our garage still in disarray, everything has been done recently on either a small folding workbench or welding table, or on a temporary plywood-on-sawhorses "bench." I suppose that the upside of that is it requires me to clean everything up and put everything away at the end of each project. If the cooler weather prevails next weekend, I might be building the new workbench in the garage. Wifey is getting anxious to get it done, even to the point of clearing out the back wall for me.

Looks like a good harvest was had, Drew. Good for you.

RNG, there used to be a mechanic (retired now) in my hometown who specialized in foreign cars, mostly Volkswagen. I took both of my Beetles to him at one time or another. His shop always looked just like the one in your video. The parts counter area at the front door was always clean and organized, but anything beyond that was like a Volkswagen/Datsun junkyard. He did amazingly good work despite the appearance of the place, and I never had any issues with him.

Was noting yesterday afternoon, while standing in the air conditioned sunroom and watching a neighbor raking a hay field, that he was using a newer Kubota compact. I've always seen him using older Oliver and White tractors when working that field. Guess he got the new tractor bug as well.

67°F and no rain

A sort and purge day, well, part of it anyway. Good job, Eric. Gives me hope we are retrainable.

Anyone in this esteemed group ever done an Alaska cruise? Jun 2019 we are taking our Son and family on the NCL Seward to Vancouver, 7 night trip. Thinking to spend a few days in Alaska at beginning and a night or two in Vancouver at end before bring our granddaughter back for the summer.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
