Outside chores done E muffin time.
Watching sibling cubs was entertaining last evening from the deck,they were rolling some jumping little chasing one another than finally laid down took snooze against each other.
Plans for today...Replace repair clean Mrs. wood furnace...it's long process other than that see what the day brings.

good morning all
heard gentle rain on window when waking up but it was not even enough to register on rain gauge.
Cloudy warm day today.
just watched a youtube video on cleaning my gucky Weber grill.
Think I will fire up the pressure washer and drag grill over on gravel.
Don't have one of those cool foam cannons but a can of Off will do the trick, not on the stainless of course.
I have put this off too long.
And if I have the pressure washer out, will be washing the car I guess.
Not much else planned today, fine with me. With three days of painting, the Grange Fair and my adventure yesterday, I'm just fine
with a little peace and quiet at home. Watering the tomatoes for sure. The vining tomatoes are just starting to come in.
I didn't trim the tomato jungle, that's another to do.
Don your garden looks wonderful.

Some of the grandkids are coming tonight for a camp fire. Bringing out the excavator to dig a fire pit and get ready for the evening. We plan a walk into the woods where there is an old grave yard from the 1800's and one of our daughters will be the tour guide with scary stories

My Weber grill pretty easy to clean. Last time I just scraped the grease instead of using pressure washer, that got the worst of it off.
Hotel we are in isn’t the best. Usually this brand is better than this one, time for this one to be downgraded except it’s already surrounded by the downgrade brands. We are checking out and trying another place tonight.
Will visit wife’s niece today. We were going to have dinner with them last night, but they cancelled due to baby being cranky. I could have handled the competition.

Good Morning
It’s 75 and going to 90 today.
We got the tiniest sprinkle of rain this morning .01” according to the Davis, nothing registered on the Tempest.
Yesterday I was able to pretty much finish up the biplane, just have to close it all up and give it a good bath.
There was a Stearman that came in that had now throttle control, a quick look determined the cause, a weld failed and the end pulled out of a pushrod. The first picture is how I found it, the second was just put back together but slightly pulled out.
It was a quick repair to put it back together and weld it and send him on his way after talking about how lucky he was that it pulled apart while he was taxiing
Got home in time to get the brisket trimmed and rubbed-
And get the smoker fired up and loaded.
Should be a good meal here this afternoon. Going to get some fresh corn and tomatoes, wife will bring home some sourdough from the farmers market, might make some beans as well.

You will get wet with pressure washer.
I take all removable parts out to clean separately.

Dump run is done...by the time I loaded all the trash and recycle, there wasn't enough room to put a 5-gallon gas can I wanted to fill...I'll buy a few gallons of non-ethanol gas from my neighbor if he's willing to sell.

I heeded your good advice. grill is only two years old, gunk came off with paint scraper easily, did not even bother to clean out inside of grill after scraping.
I'd say my flavorizer bars had a bit too much flavor on them. Likely barbecue sauce of something goopy.
Everything else soaked in OFF several times and powerwashed on gravel. Not a drop on me.
All back together and grill on now to dry it all out.
now to stop sweating and go back out and wash the car. Easier to do the wheels with washer.
80 dollar harbor freight loss leader that still keeps working. I've had good ones before so had zero expectations of this but so far
it's a great deal for lightweight work. I winterize it carefully.

Good morning to all! Low of 52°, currently only 57° with a slow rain at 08:00. There is a 1/4" in the gauge already. I hope it stays as a steady rain or drizzle.

BEF, good luck with the motel search.... I have heard from multiple people that the quality of the motels has gone down. This is from all over the country. If we are going anywhere overnight, we take our own motel on wheels.....

Good Morning!!!! 78F @ 7:30AM. Sunny. Hot. High around 105F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
My plan to fill the trench yesterday using the tractor and scraper blade worked out pretty well. It took several trips up and down the driveway to gather up enough dirt to fill it flush, and I expect it to settle quite a bit because I wasn't able to compact the dirt at all. But the conduit and wires are protected, and that's all that really matters. I also got the bracket for the solar panel pole installed with five bags of fence post concrete, and only used one of the two five gallon buckets of water I'd filled for the job. I'll give the concrete a day or two to cure before I mount the pole, but I can get the last bit of trench filled in with a bit of shovel work while I'm waiting.
"Anxiously" is a very accurate description, Ted. Lots of things can go wrong when purchasing something sight unseen, especially a nearly forty year old motorcycle. The truck driver was a great guy. He sent multiple text messages updating me on his arrival time, and nailed it within minutes so I didn't spend any time at all waiting for him. He'd picked up another motorcycle after mine, though, and we had to use a floor jack to move it sideways enough to get the BMW out of the truck. The price of having the cylinders sticking out to the sides, I guess. Cosmetically, the bike is very clean, with only a few scratches in the paint and some slight sun fading on the horizontal surfaces. Miles better than others in this color that I've seen. The plastic luggage arrived undamaged, and the usual cracks that form around the rivets that hold the clasps and hinges on haven't formed, yet. And once I figured out the key orientation, it started right up. But that's where the good news ends. The thing makes an incredible amount of valve noise, and is badly in need of an adjustment. It also smokes, even under accelaration. Blue smoke, so it's not a sticking choke or something easy to fix. There's a slight chance it's from oil collected in the cylinders from sitting and will clear itself with a little use. But that usually happens when a bike like this sits for a long time on the side stand, and oil runs up the walls of the cylinder and finds its way into the combustion chamber past the rings. But the trucker had the bike strapped straight up and down for the trip, and he said that the seller started the bike for him when he picked it up, and the trucker made no mention of smoke. I also heard an ominus clicking sound coming from the speedometer as we rolled the bike out of the truck, signaling the need to spend several hundred bux with the speedo doctor. And a distinct lack of stopping power on the front brake, accompanied by an ugly blackish tint to the brake fluid in the front master cylinder on the handlebar. Then there's the extra fuel tank, which I was told was the large capacity one from the somewhat rare R80 G/S Paris Dakar model. It turns out it is not that at all, but the much more common tank from the later R100GS. Worse, when I shared this with the seller, suggesting a significant refund was due, he declined, feigning ignorance and poverty. I expect some problems in something this old, but to be deliberately misled like this, to the tune of several thousand dollars, is unacceptable. And this is what I noticed in the ten or so minutes I've invested so far. I'm bracing myself for what else I might find as I start to go through it.
Speaking of waiting, I'd started an operating system update before I began this post, and was interrupted midway through this missive when the computer restarted. I had plenty of time to alternately stare at either a blank, black, screen, or progress bars that never seemed to complete before going black again only to be replaced with a much shorter version. All the while accompanied by the image of a white apple with a bite missing, a symbol, in my feeble mind at least, of humanity's lost innocense. A fitting reminder for the present circumstances, but a reminder also of how far we've come in spite of ourselves.

Personally, I never have...I want to touch it before the money comes out of the wallet.

Folks in Solebury just spent a lot of money culling thousands of deer. Been my best year yet for them, maybe Solebury chased them
south to you. They just figured they needed to get on the other side of Bowmans Hill to be safe. And there they find Ken's beautiful glade in the woods, made
just for them I'm sure they think.
all I think of when I see them is ticks and Lymes Disease. And venison barbecue.
Just like the Leni Lenapes who lived here 400 years ago, they lived on deer, rabbit and fish. Pretty healthily until their new neighbors brought them a host of
European diseases. And shot up their game. No buffalo around here, just deer and some bear. Fox. Moles, voles and groundhogs. Not many skunk.
Turtles, always have to watch for turtles on Pineville Road. There's a creek that goes through there and pretty sure turtles stay close to water. Nice little pretty box turtles and
some definitely not nice snapping turtles that would love to dine on a finger.
some of you have much more interesting animals. Armadillos. Now how cool are they? Probably not if digging in your yard. Little dinosaurs.
Alligators and crocs are dinosaurs too and glad I live far enough North not to deal with them. My friends in Florida are having a great deal of fun dealing with snakes, alligators and lizards.
Texans blaze away at feral pigs that wreck everything. Are feral pigs edible? Seems like a lot of wasted ham...
of course nothing seems as cute or desirable as koalas. Lot of neat critters in Australia and NZ.
can you imagine going down to the mailbox and finding a large male kangaroo wanting to fight with you?
moose would be neat. Large elk. Just not in your car grill or in your petunias.
car is now washed and dried, and I'm resting again. Still have to go downtown, left my good hat in brother's car and can't live without it outside.

G'morning all! We have rec'd a bit of rain this week. .55" it has the ants thinking about coming back above ground. 83F now headed to close to 100F Very very sultry humid.
It would seem if a station had 120 pumps, they would have a pipeline delivering fuels...one of the many reasons they have that many pumps, is that people will pump gas, then go inside to use the restroom and buy stuff. Our Buc-ees is very small, like a good sized convenience store 7-11. Gas here is $3.43/gallon, in San Marcos it was near $3.20/gallon

The man who owns Buc-ees is a grad of Texas A&M, and has endowed the college with a grant for a new college within the University. Making your name outlast your life here (if done in a good way) is a great thing. A kind of immortality.
Kids started school last Wednesday. So far, so good. Son is going to play football, and has never played a down in his life (no peewee league or nothing). I'm trying to warn him of the dirty tricks done at the bottom of a pile of players. He signed up for higher level math english and reading. Same with daughter who's now a senior.
Got out and sprayed a little roundup this morning on some pervasive weeds. TxDon, your okra looks fantastic despite almost no rainfall. I'm guessing you got some rain in the past few days?
Going to visit my mom down south today. Just a 1 day trip, will get home late.
My wifey just got off the Life Fitness X3 after doing it for 30 minutes. She worked up quite a sweat, HR gets over 170. She's a keeper, in fantastic shape...same weight as the day I married her. We went on a date yesterday, got my professional headshot photo taken for work. We dropped off a box of stuffed animals at Good Will, I had all their heads "looking out" and told the guy to find good homes for them all. After that, we went to a Persian restaurant and ate Beef shiskabobs. my wifey loved it, it was good, but for less money, I prefer the tasty soft tacos down the street. I will take her back if she wants to go.
Have some more stuff to take to the local recycler.
Prayers for our team, our country, Ukraine, and for Putin to come to his senses.
