Good evening all. 67F this morning, mostly clear and calm. Wind waited to about 10 to start to increase, and sky clear and high temp 83F. Went for bike ride this morning, helped wife wash screens on the back porch and went to town for haircut, gas, and dinner.
Bird good news on your eye sight.!!
PJ nice wall.
Prayers for all

You win you got the first potato. How big is it?

a perfect two incher. I'm surprised actually they are this big, flowers still on plants.
Yeah, I thought of zooming in....:D Wow, it's as big as my house!
Yours are likely larger underneath the ground.

I'm going to say summer is starting today. Every day in the forecast in high 80's or low 90's.
And the latter half of next week shows a lot of rain. Within reason, I'll take all I can get...

Helping ladies of Garden Club unload truckloads of herbs and flowers for a plant sale today. I was supposed to have
tomatoes and peppers for this but as reported they all almost expired in the sun. Looking garden over yesterday, I'd say that 90 percent of those plants
did not look good at all after transplanting, about a third died, and the rest are now doing fine. I'm going to have a lot of tomatoes and peppers, at least a hundred plants growing
of each. So that's good. Means I have to get moving and get some twine hung between the poles to do a "weave" on the tomatoes.

This afternoon I hope to finally get on the Super A and do some corn cultivating. I should do more hand hoeing but need to mix in some "fun stuff" with
that hard work. The absolute worst is when I nick a corn stalk with the sharp edge of the hoe and that's all she wrote, end of corn.
Pleased to see that dozens of Hale Jumbo cantaloupe plants are coming up. If I can keep the critters out of that area, going to have lots of melons. Maybe.
Never grown a melon in my life so this is all trial and error. Plus beets and carrots are now coming up, well there's a line of something there.

Is it a weed? Or is it Memorex? (talk about a successful jingle way back when)
Today if you asked someone, other than a musician..., what Memorex was they would probably
guess it was a pill for senior memory boost...

Good morning all, 63 this morning going to 81 with a 30% chance of showers. No plans for today, will see what comes. Hoping for a nap. Need to add a few inches of water to the pool and see how much it is still leaking.

Drew, good eating size! Memorex memory boost, there are three signs that you are getting old. The first is you start forgetting things and I forget the other two.

Prayers sent for those in need, Have a great day. Ed

Looks like now the race is to see who gets the biggest potato. I'll wait a few more weeks before I harvest.

Do they even have jingles anymore? All I see is commercials about prescription drugs and while they are telling of the side effects that can be mind altering or destroy your internal organs they have nice music and show people having a good time.

71˚ too dark too early.

Drew, good eating size!
That's just what I was thinking Ed....maybe not big ones for the food pantry
but some nice small ones for me.
Or as some online video says, pick them early for nice juicy potatoes.
Juicy potatoes. Not exactly how I would describe them but that little red potato
actually felt damp it had so much moisture in it. I think that last three inch rain plus my fertilizer
made this guy bulk up quickly.

I normally wait until the plant looks almost dead.
Maybe I'll pull up one of the largest plants and see what's underneath.
Good idea Ed.
