68°F and no rain

I think yesterday went well, will get professional opinion this morning when I get patch off.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
My Doctor put a clear "protective" patch on me last Monday after my cataract surgery. I'd say GREAT improvement after 2 days. It did seem my eye got "tired" the first day. I think it had not been used much for months.
This is what mine was like (stolen off the web)

Hope yours and others do as well or better.

Don, hospital required masking.

Yes, language confused. I’ve been irritated for years by the inappropriate usage by various entitleds resulting in changed/confusing meanings instead of creating their own word.

After the freezes and hail the mortar between my patio stones is looking bad. What is the best tool to remove 1/2 to 3/4” mortar between stones before re-mortaring it? The width between the stone vary between 1/8” and 3/4”, the stones are 1” thick.

Don, Rotary hammer drill with appropriate bits

One task accomplished.... the tree and a few flowers planted and watered. I need to adjust / reconfigure the drip system in those beds.

I had used some of the sprinkler heads that do about a 10" circle. We noticed that only the centers of the beds were moist, but at the edges bone dry. Going to redo with 4 individual drippers around the perimeter.

Might go spread a few bags of mulch. Temp is still only at 65° with a cool southern breeze. I have to take advantage of the nice weather.

We have been watching the firefighting aircraft flying directly overhead. One about every 10- 15 minutes. These are the big jet aircraft, I think DC-10's. I'm guessing at an altitude of 4-5K feet, maybe less, definitely loud for sure!

Yup ... a little warm out there ... but not too bad in the shade.

Didn't even have to wait until the end of the day ... think there were like 27 or something up when I went out there earlier:

After I took that picture I made up another 1/2 tote worth of potting soil and planted 11 each of the Mammoth Gold, Kentucky Field, and "Casper" pumpkin seeds.

The Caspers are a white pumpkin (not orange), and the Kentucky Field pumpkins are somewhat odd shaped (not round) but supposedly great for canning:

Think the only thing I don't have planted pumpkin-wise are the Small Sugar pumpkins.

Now out of potting soil though, so need to make up another batch. Should still have enough in the dump cart to cover it though.

When we had our iphones they were switched to WiFi calling as we are in a marginal signal area. Haven't bothered since we got the androids as they seem to have a better signal. Might just try them on WiFi and see how we go. There are VOIP phones dedicated to WiFi now. Not sure how they would work for me.
Living in the country our services are not the best. We have satellite internet and another wireless provider as well. The wireless is generally hopeless and we pay big money for it. I am going to see if I can cancel that contract as we haven't got a hope of using enough data for what we pay. It is just too slow and can't even watch youtube or Netflix with it. 1.5 mbs if we are lucky. Sure is a rip off. It does include unlimited phone and text and calls to a few overseas countries. Satellite is up to 60 mbs. Still hopeless compared to the city broadband but little we can do about it. It took over 3 hours to upload that 4 1/2 minute vid to youtube the other day. Makes you want to scream at times.
Satellite is $65 pm and wireless is $165. (200 GB) They tried to sell us a TV that only used internet (no TV antenna required) It would have been totally useless to us.

Still raining here and not expected to stop for a few days yet. Very depressing now.

Govt changed last night. Not what I wanted. They want to introduce inheritance taxes after we got rid of them about 40 years ago in Queensland. They are Chinese sympathizers which I can't stand. Also want to move neutral emissions forward to 2030 whereas the current Govt was 2050.
Apparently illegal immigrants are already on boats heading for Australia in the hope that the Labour Govt would get in which they did unfortunately. They don't have a policy to stop them coming whereas the outgoing Govt did. I just feel sick about it all. And don't let anyone call me 'they' or I will go right off. Rant over.
Hope at least all you folk have a great day. Think I am going to mushroom for a while.

Sorry to hear of those difficulties Thomas.

Be thankful they caught it before anything more serious happened I guess.

You’ll be in our thoughts and prayers here.

Thomas - hope they can get you fixed up.
Seems they can do some pretty amazing things with hearts now adays.
I'm proof of that.

But at least you got out of shopping!

Just take it easy, Thomas...couple weeks, most likely you'll be back to your old ornery self...
But like me, you won't be able to do all the stuff you used to do...at best, you'll do it...but slower
