50°, finally some sunshine today.

Worship went well, I had song leading. My youngest son likes to pick my songs to go with the lesson theme. He does a good job.

Was going to pick up Chinese for lunch and bring it home, but they don’t open till noon, so we joined our usual church group who decided to eat up on the mountain at the diner. They have a good turkey lunch on sundays, they roast the turkeys.

Stopped at orchard for blackberry pie, cider, and cider donuts.

Got home and decided to mow. Did it all. Back hill was real tall since my son skipped it last time. Hated to cut the pretty buttercups.

Several deer on other side of creek would watch me, but wasn’t too bothered by me.
Did hit some sticks and rocks, so mower blades now need sharpened.

When I finished it was 5 minutes to leave for evening worship.

My mom passed away 6 years ago.

Good morning. Low of 7C and currently 14C, overcast, fairly calm and another 0.5mm in the gauge.

Lovely night's sleep, although Penelope (the *****-beast) has taken to sleeping at my side on the opposite side of the bed = I have to change the way I get out of bed to visit 'the long drop' and stoke the fire at 0200. Oh well.

I need to get off my arse and put up a couple of signs... If I didn't make time to procrastinate, I'd never get anything done.

Good evening all. Friday WX 64F for start, overcast, breezy. Windy especially in morning, sky cleared in afternoon, high temp was 80F. Bike ride, last minute housekeeping for guests, nap. Dinner with guests and visiting till bed time. Saturday WX 58F, partly cloudy, breezy. Breezy morning moderate wind with brisk gusts in afternoon, high temp was 89F. Visit in morning, boating and visiting in afternoon. no nap, and A/C not cooling well. Sunday WX 72ºF for start, breezy, partly cloudy. Partly cloudy. Sky cleared off, windy, and high temp 91ºF, HI 100ºF. Chapel to start morning, then guests just wanted toast for breakfast, helped them pack up and leave. Worked on motor control on boat re-secured it to boat side. 12 lawn bags to take out to trash from mowing and did get nap. House got up to 80ºF inside, Calling A/C guy first thing in morning.

We here still haven't got + 20° C this year (it is 68° F)
And forecast says - this week not going to happen either

Anyway - I am back from Italy. There weather was even worse

This is look from my hotel's window. Fancy apartment house is blocking my view to Adriatic sea

Hotel was really fancy. In gates there was those phones

You should remember calling friend with lot of "0" or "9" in his nr and his phone was busy
OK, that is old mans rant.

But something happen, I feel like old man now. Was in "ristorante" eat a lot of nice seafood, got nice vine. Few h later got very bad pain just below chest area. I don't know what, definitely not stomach. Definitely not food related as I am only one with such pain but we all have eaten from the same tray
Now I still feel that pain

Anyway - have doctors appointment for tomorrow

Good morning, low temp is 45 and the high to 70°F. Wind E 8 mph. Sunny!

The platform that we built two years ago will be coming out and repurposed today as a floor in the tractor shed.

Neither Junior nor me have 'green thumbs' and we certainly do NOT have a use for a 6x8' green house. That will go to the local pet rescue organisation as part of their annual fundraiser/flea market. They are also getting 3 complete dish sets (part of the retail therapy for his dearly departed wife). These sets are brand new still in the original boxes.

BEF, Momma cat is saying to you, 'look what I made'! 'Now get them on cat food, their teeth are sharp and uncomfortable.' It is nice that she trusts you enough to bring her kittens to you.

The trailer frame rails need some holes punched in them, I'll see if I can find someone local to do them. I don't own a drill press or I would do them myself.

32 right now...high in the upper 60's today...

Not really too well this morning...lot of coughing last night...well, for the last few days since I got out of the hospital. Probably caught a cold while I was there.
Also peeing a lot. Drank a couple beers yesterday, and coffee...that may have been a mistake
As far as the stroke, I forget my walker sometimes....lower leg is still weak and I've almost gone down a few times (even with the walker)
I'll be working from home today

getting bite guard at dentists this morning, going to ask about cosmetic bonding on my front teeth.
They are chipped and coffee stained and I've been putting this off for too long. But they charge like a thousand bucks a tooth, it
is such a ripoff for what you get. with the stock market tanking, not interested in unnecessary expenses now but while I'm there, might as well ask.

going to stop at hardware store to pick up a small roll of metal fencing, to make protective barriers for the two snowball bushes I want to plant out front.
might go looking for a few more veggie plants, still haven't found any eggplants.

onions coming up, had to move a few squash plants, though once they start to grow they will take over that entire area; will train them away from onions.

It must be spring around here. Yesterday - bright sunshine - then rain - then a REAL hail storm - ended with a nice snow storm.

Good morning folks

38° now highs in the mid to upper 60’s and sunny, NE winds 10 to 20 mph. Keeps me black flies away lol.

Had a nice surprise last week, after talking to the town highway dept about them removing a big dead pine and a beech tree on the edge of the roadway they showed up the next day and took them both down. They use a local guy when they need a bucket truck and he does a great job. The two big dead trees and about six smaller beech suckers down, limbs chipped, stumps flush cut, logs loaded all cleaned up in less than two hours.

The perennial garden is a bit slow this year, I think the lack of snow cover and the winds this winter have taken its toll. The daffodils are tulips are just starting to bud. Time will tell. Not sure how much of a veggie garden this year, between ground hogs, rabbits and my lack of ambition (aka old knees, back and lungs).

The birds seem to be plentiful with lot’s of blue birds and a couple of scarlet tanagers, no hummer’s yet.

Prayers and thoughts for all that are hurting.

Morning all, sun is finally out , 46 going up to 68.
Trip into NYC went fine yesterday, though still limping, Suite at the Plaza with Matthew B and SJ Parker. Was ok.
Virgils for dinner, not the same since they sold to a larger corp, oh well.
Took the kid to rough trade records afterwords and home before 10.

Buppies - sorry to hear about your troubles. Take care of yourself!

Helo - hope the pain isn't something big, feel better.

Roy - quick recovery and no falling please.

City was pretty crowded. Last time I was there it was still empty. While I work Downtown, I have been remote since aligatoris, only going in when absolutely necessary.

This allowed me to get a lot of the dead Ash down. But there is so much!

Still need to wash the mud off our boots from Saturday and my "brook" is back.

Foot still healing, a bit better each day.

Still need to plant the garden!

Good morning! 75˚F, windy heading to the mid 90's. I only saw highs of 97˚F this weekend so the 100s never materialized.

Got moms toilet and smoke detector working but will have to go out another cooler day to work on the fence. I think the cows look at the fence as a challenge.

hopefully the grass will be dry enough to mow before noon.

Good Morning.
It’s 56 and will likely top 65 in sunshine with a nice breeze which we need to help dry things out.

Got home in time yesterday to pull out the Little Wonder blower with grandson, it had a flat tire with it off the bead. We got it seated and pumped up and put it to work. Cherry blossoms are pretty, but they sure make a mess.

He had a lot of fun trying to push the blower and running into the airstream.

Not sure what’s on tap for today, I’m sure it’s too wet to mow, but we will see.
