PJ, interesting obit, especially his early sales experience.

Need to buy brake pads for Subaru, Rock auto has so many I have no idea where to start.

Updating my old laptop. After first update wouldn’t act right. Reboot resulted in another update.
Got bunch old software on it I’ll uninstall once it’s working.

Got burn pile moved. Then there was a tree that came down. Moved it to burn pile in 4 pieces.

Lol, my wife’s been wanting more shelves in pantry since 1998. One of these days.

Have all the pantry shelves wife wants/needs. Oh, that was bathroom shelf she wanted 🤭 Wonder where I put that hardware?

Snow ended about an hour or so ago...and no freezing rain...none predicted either. But, we'll probably get snow showers tonight, so clearing will wait until tomorrow morning. Hope I've got enough tobacco and papers.
Total accumulation was 9-12 inches, depending on where one measures...
One thing I did notice...most of my driveway markers are missing. Well, don't think they were stolen....my guess is the oil truck knocked them over last week when he backed in the fill the tank. That tanker is as wide as the driveway, I'll wager...
Bit of a bummer, but I have a pretty good idea where the drive is...

A little contemplation and Jameson is in order Roy
that's a pretty good sized snow

finished most of trip packing. I think... :sneaky:
Highs in high 70's, lows in low 60's
I can do this

now I have to call Amtrak and try to get ticket changed to next stop down, which is closer to friend's home. Somehow I got that stop messed up, wonder if I just stayed on one more stop on way down, would they ever know? Can't deal with being on hold tonight, will do tomorrow.

We only got a bit less then 3" of snow then it switched to rain and soggyed it down to about an inch,
went out and used the blade on the FEL to put a bit of down pressure on the blade.
Got quite a bit of it removed tomorrow I'll do the finish cleanup and spread some sand.

You folks be careful with that bad weather.

Sorry about your friend PJS.

Did Don win the skinny knee competition? Hope we don't do a belly measurement. My belly precedes me into the next room before I get there.

Thanks for all the prayers for my mom. She is still in skilled nursing, but is now complaining that she might have picked up a UTI/bladder infection. She still needs physical therapy.

I admit I just haven't been into NFL like I used to be. I had wrongly believed that the Cowboys game was going to be on at 6:30 CST, so I sat down at 6:39 to watch the game, and there was only 1:00 minute left in the 4th quarter.....what a bad minute of football to watch (unless you're a 49'er fan).

Put it on burn pile. It has been laying on ground for years. There is so many downed trees around here. Nobody wants big stuff.
Too bad you're not nearer, Brandi would maybe love to have those huge logs.

I still watch the Sampson Boat youtube videos, although I would have done some things differently, he should have a rock solid boat (if it will float)....too heavy IMO, but I guess he's staying with his heavy ideology. Polishing all the bronze in the sump of the boat was a waste of hard labor and time IMO.

Sometimes, I have to remind myself to put my solipsism on the shelf. My wife reminds me plenty too.

Been watching videos on rebuilding the Kohler K301 12hp engine. isavetractors.com has parts. Still debating whether to sink the time in it....Tear down will be the litmus test.

Prayers for Bupps, Topps, Drew's neck, Don's knee, those with Covid, and those in need....and our country.

Ron and I tied for 1st place. I guess my Dr. was right, compared to most I do have skinny knees and therefore must flex more before I see him again, he specified 128˚. If I had fat knees like the rest he would be happy with 120˚.

The good news is that today, with Egore leering over me I pulled a 125˚ - up from 122˚ on Friday and enough to keep him from assisting me with the bend. After PT I went to the gym and biked 5 miles and then since it was a perfect 66˚F sunny afternoon we all three went hiking for 2 miles over some pretty rough neighborhood trails that I have not been able to hike for a year, then this evening Cards I won 3 of 5 games, and then ate my wife's chocolate mint Instant Pot cake - overall a very good day.

Good evening all. 28F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, moderate gusts, clear sky, and high temp was 61F, DP 26F. Putter this morning some KP duty, took wife to town for lunch and shopping, frozen potatoes and 1/2 & 1/2 in short supply. Bike ride then nap.

19° right now...high, right around 20° and, maybe, snow showers.
Since the forecast was for freezing rain yesterday into last night, didn't bother doing any snow removal. We didn't get the freezing rain but did get about another inch or so of snow last night. The tractor is plugged in and I'll head out in an hour or so

The birds were really chowing down at the feeder yesterday. Must have been a couple dozen either eating, or waiting to eat. Most the time, the larger birds chase off the smaller ones...not yesterday though. It was almost like they were all just waiting their turn.

Pretty cool video
Don't think I would have got as close as some of these folks did...

Good morning, low -3 high to 1°F. Wind NW 9 mph. Sunny.

I will go out at 9 and plow. Tractor block heater already turned on. A town run comes after plowing.

Roy, I'll bet the driveway is under the snow, somewhere. 🤣
If you don't put sand/salt mix down then if you run on the lawn a bit, it shouldn't matter.
As for tobacco and papers, I have papers here but they are for another purpose. I get my tailor made smokes by the carton and am 9 cartons ahead of myself. 200 smokes in a carton.

When I rebuilt my driveway I made it 10' wide on the straight section and the curve is 20' wide. It was easy getting the cab over tractor around the curve backwards but a bit of a challenge with the conventional. The cab over was also about 5' shorter.

Stay safe out there in the crappy weather
