Managed to get the lights all up. My metal roof just scares the crap out of me. I should have gotten the man lift out, but the setup time and movements around the house are just not a lot of fun. Especially for a job that takes literally 5 minutes if it all goes right. Well.....more than five minutes. LOL. The metal and my sneakers just were not cooperating, and when I managed to be bold and tried to hang the lights, yeah, I just could not get them on that hook I put up. LOL.
I should have gotten the man lift out. Sheesh....talk about stress.
Anyway it is done. Merry Christmas.
The eldest daughter rolled into town late yesterday. so not much else was accomplished. Really, after the lights, it was visitation time. I think she may be moving back here, she was in Arkansas and I think it is just a little too far from home for her.
Also found out yesterday my county plans on building a 400 acre solar farm about a mile behind my properties. That and they plan on running fiber optics down my road in the next year or two.
Lots of changes coming about in the New Year...change is the only constant. Not happy about all the development around us.
On a cheery note, wow, Christmas is upon us!

RNG, that's a lot of hummers...nice to see a photo of them...ours left in September...but it is nice to have a break from making their sugar water every day.
Changed the oil and oil and air filters on the tractor, so today may lube the FEL and change the coolant.

Good morning all. It has been a very pleasant day so far, with neither wind nor rain as we slipped and slid in muddy sheep pens. The last of the tups are now out and on their way home over the hill.
It is not often that the region I live in (North Shropshire) makes the headlines, but it has today. The member or parliament representing this area was forced to resign in disgrace last month after been caught breaking rules for receiving money while promoting the interest of certain businesses. An election had to be held and normally it would be a forgone conclusion that the replacement would also come from the same political party, as Conservatives have done here ever since 1830. Not this time though, after almost two hundred years this "safe" seat has had enough and decided it is time for a different party, giving a local lady called Helen Morgan a chance to put an end to the sleaze. She could prove to be a doer, instead of just a talker and taker, it's good to at least have hope ...

Good Morning
It’s 52 and not coming to change much throughout the day. Rain likely tonight.
Dr visit went ok, told me I’m getting fat and lazy, need to eat less (and better), exercise and I need to see a dermatologist and schedule a colonoscopy, but generally healthy.
Helped contractor put in shower doors at my son’s, they are surprisingly heavy pieces of glass. Trash can moving went great, made good progress on paperwork project, now just waiting for a response from the FAA on a question of how to proceed.
DIL and grandson came by for a visit, he always keeps me entertained. But he misses his tractor time. Maybe we will get some serious snows he can help plow.
Not sure what’s on tap for today, depends how quickly I get a response from the feds.

need to go buy a yardstick to use as a spacing tool for Sunday
night's outdoor carol sing. We won't sing inside but we are trying outside in 35 degree weather.
Going to be some red cheeks for sure.
Families can sing together but all others at least 3 feet apart. It's something...and this crowd is very
safety conscious.

What happened to six feet for safe spacing, Drew? Seems like nobody's paying attention to the new mask mandate here when I was in town yesterday, either. And it sounds like Omicron is ignoring all previous vaccinations and is able to spread faster than anything seen to date. What a way to start a New Year.
I hope your new representative is a straight shooter, Eric, but over hear, political party affiliation doesn't seem to matter when it comes to dishonesty and corruption.
After most of a year, made a recycling run yesterday. Two big barrels of glass bottles and one of aluminum cans netted me forty-eight dollars, not even enough to cover a fill up on the truck. At least when I went back to the PO they were finally able to find the package they'd lost, but it was sitting in a pile of stuff that was being sent back to the sender because it wasn't picked up! And I've got half a carne asada burrito left over for lunch today.
Was able to get through all of the original Lethal Weapon movie last night without falling asleep. Great way to get into the Christmas Spirit. Gonna try Lethal Weapon II tonight.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. After last year, this one was kinda special. I had gotten texts yesterday from a co-worker (sales guy that I trained) and the guy I have been helping with his racing program. Both wanted to know if my wife & I were having date night. The co-worker showed up and bought me a beer, Johnny and his dad showed up, ate dinner with us. Johnny gave me a number plate from his bike and a picture. The number plate is from the night he got his first ever podium in professional race. The picture is from the 3 of us post race. He and his dad signed both. That was actually kind of special.
@Kyle_in_Tex - yes I saw the new rules for 2022. I am guessing Tolbert, Zanotti, and Evans are hard at work finding ways to stay fast. They may be complaining, but they had to know changes were coming. The Indian's still have something none of the rest have - large central flywheels. It is, IMO, tough to get the traction needed without that huge spinning mass in the center of the engine. Some of the other changes appears to me to be opening up the rules for KTM to join the fray with the 890's.
And good to hear the saga is still being read. The installments are running out!
And as this starts to wind down.
The magical little pill likely worked better than planned. It was a tough night, made somewhat worse by having B as my nurse’s aide. My GI tract started to work and had weeks of accumulated stuff that needed to be gone. With no control on my part. This was apparently part of the "plan" and as I was to find out was crucial to timing of the next phase. It was unpleasant and embarrassing, made worse by B who did nothing but whine about it and act like I was doing it to create work for her. The charge nurse was fine, B was really annoying. All in all, a very unpleasant night.
Early morning came and time for the blood draw. Then a miracle happened. The ****** Youth were not on the morning schedule of entertainment. What a relief!
Then time for breakfast which was "clear liquids". First meal I had in weeks that went down and actually didn't cause me discomfort. I went through it very slowly though just to be cautious. I noted I actually could taste a couple of things. Not well, but I had some taste.
But, putting something into my stomach had a reaction. Things needed to be purged. This was pretty much all day. Mikaela was working an extra shift as day shift nurse’s aide. She was great about it, since she had been through it herself. She kept trying to reassure me it was ok and not to be embarrassed. It was part of the process. Ok, but it was still embarrassing. She kept telling me that embarrassing was having your own co-workers do the chore. It still didn't help. I was embarrassed and frustrated.
Pulmonary decided to shut off the oxygen completely and removed the cannula. I was starting to feel less trapped by hoses and tubes. The feedbags and IV were still connected. But the volume of both were being reduced. Dr. M visited and was pleased with the progress. Told me he would see me Saturday.
Rest of the day was pretty much dealing with my body purging itself from time to time. Sadly, night shift started off with having B as my nurse’s aide. The berating continued from her. That would come to an end early Saturday morning...…...

The constant motion knee flex machine pic that did not load yesterday.
Off to a good start - increased flex machine to 72 angle degrees. Now on cooling machine. Then the exercises the PT left then repeat X4.
Found a good combination of the two pain meds and bowls back to normal (probably more info than you care to know, but another milestone.)

Hello, here is my latest. I got this unit used this summer and mounted it, this is the first wionter to use it. I have to slow down when pushing into heavy wet snow it bogs the tractor down.
