Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #140,762
Just read five pages trying to catch up and now I can't remember who said what.
Ahh, the golden years.
Well, safe and sound in Williamston NC, just North of Washington where I'm going tomorrow.
All the nice hotels were booked for some bicycle rally so all that was left is this awful but cheap Holiday Inn Express. No desk. No chair...boy next time I ask.
At least it was just renovated, they haven't put all the room parts back yet. Wire sticking out of wall, molding missing, yes they are under renovation. At least the room is on the quieter first floor all the way at the end near the door, and the parking lot. Not going to be spending much time in here for sure.

hit rain in NC and it's raining out now and apparently into tomorrow. And cold. Lovely weather but I'm here. Yes, Dennis, Rt 15 coming south off PA turnpike. Took it all the way down to 50 and then drove through millionaire acres/horse farms/wineries all the way west to Markham. Then came down 17 this morning and then 95. Bad accident on other side with fire trucks and huge mess.
I'm always thankful when I get off that road.

chain steak house next door to hotel. I'm going to be there at 5pm when they open and see if I can find something relatively healthy. Probably not.

USPS delivered peonies.

Finished up mowin' and blowin' the lower front, did some on the west side as well, about to head back out and do a little more. Wasn't too bad with the sun out, felt noticeably colder when it went behind the clouds though.

Not inclined to do much else out there, will wait for tomorrow and the three days after that for planting when it is supposed to be sunny and warmer. That will provide some additional time for the remaining (2 ?) plant orders to come in.

Male cat had bad luck at the vet's, has feline AIDS. Not that big of a deal apparently, and they will still try and place him.

Might run out later and pick up some non-ethanol gas. Need it for the Stihl blower and pole saw plus will switch over to it on the Cub before it gets put up for winter.

Pickin's look mighty slim at that steakhouse if you're lookin' for sumthin' healthy, Drew. 'Cept you might be able to put something at their salad bar, and it's only five bux.

If yer forced to eat that awful unhealthy food, there's what looks to be a decent BBQ place called Shaw's to the northeast a few miles. Might as well enjoy it... 🤭

   / Good morning!!!! #140,765
Shaws is a really good barbecue place but this place next door will do shrimp, steamed broccoli and a baked potato. Their steak prices are silly high for frozen steaks which are usually overtenderized. So either shrimp or a pork chop. They can't screw that up.................

PJS, Is the lock button on the wall?
Yes. It looks similar to this one (internet pic). It's on the wall in the sunroom, just inside the door. There is no access to the house from the garage, so the sunroom door is our main door.

The green LED indicator is under the center of the big white button.

Not exactly a pic worthy day. Didn’t make as much progress as hoped. These 3 base cabinets go along that wall. Debating to add a more solid toe kick vs just a veneer.

Scraped most of the glue with putty knife, the razor scraper was too easy to catch the wood.

30°, low was 26 last night.
Holiday Inn Express is the expensive hotel I stay at. But I draw the line on any with Budget in their name.
I’ve been going into work later, and enjoying less traffic on the road. It also helps the return trip, although it’s now in the dark.

Heading in to work this morning...hopefully, my schedule of Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays at work (meaning on-site) will hold this time.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 24° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 48° with mostly sunny skies. Did not get grocery shopping done yesterday. Back on today's list. Did get fence rolled up and out of field. Then ran timmer to get all of the weeds and shrubs trying to grow in fence line cut down. After shopping I think today is going to be a conserve energy day.
Road in front of my house.

RNG, Sassy has thing about chasing four legged critters. Have not seen her catch one yet. Let the mouse loose in front of neighbors cats. At least Sassy got it treed. Mouse got away from cats and found a hole to hide in.

Mostly, Sassy is a small hunter. Just does not know what to do with catch.

Buckeye, great pictures.

David, veneer looks good. Use a good adhesive to stick it on.

Buppies, hope you are feeling better.

PJ, my wife had a Brother embroidery machine. I still have some of my pajamas that she did embroidery on while learning to use the machine.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning from Williamston NC. Quiet night, slept well
39 out now going up to 59 today, cloudy but nice, then rain coming in all day tomorrow.

heading for coffee at 6am when breakfast is open. Will be visiting an old garden club friend today, she is about 90, and taking her to country club for lunch, where she is a member.

I chickened out literally on the steak restaurant, it was really small, two employee cars there, did not look inviting at all. So I got a chicken sandwich in a drive through and called it a night.

Buppies, keep feeling better.

28 outside this AM. Heading to 54. Should be a nice day. Mowed the back yesterday. Forgot in this weather to take gloves. Man, it was a cold ride. Hopeful that grass will not need to be cut again. Front is on the to do list this weekend.

Need to go with wife and get her truck serviced today. Then shopping for the important stuff, spark plugs, beer and coffee.

Hope all have a great weekend. Be safe.

Buppies, get better, faster! Stay positive.

30 and first frost on the ground and freeze of the year. Looking for 53 and more sun than yesterday.

Ron, beautiful road...is it quiet enough to take a nice walk?

Glad you're better, Buppies.

Rip, glad you remembered to put coffee on your list.

Did a thorough cleaning of the cast iron steamer pot we keep on the woodstove...used several size wire brushes on the battery drill, and a couple of hand brushes. Then repainted it flat black with stove paint. Looks good, and already helping with the humidity.

Then my wife and I gave each other haircuts. Been almost 2 years since we started this, although she did go in to get a professional one before the wedding back in June...then complained it wasn't as good as what I had done and I had to touch it up. I think I got this good from all the hand pruning of the shrubs over the years. 😁
