BEF, look into a Furrion brand a/c for the camper. They have the highest volume of air movement, the coldest cooling, and are the quietest on the market. My son just did a lot of research and comparisons between all the major brands. I am not sure of the price.

I saw that brand when looking. The nice part about keeping the existing brand is the bottom and wiring stays the same, just unplug the old cable from roof unit, plug in the new.
Price wise they are about the same.

I’ll give it a closer look as it appears the price includes the inside piece also.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 5:30AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 99F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Yesterday started a little hazy, smoke that had drifted down from the fire overnight. By 10AM or so it was clean enough outside to go without a mask, and it stayed that way the rest of the day. Given the choice of smoke blocking the sun and wearing a mask, and sizzling under a clear blue sky, I'll stick with the blue sky, even though it's quite a bit less comfortable in the afternoon sun.

The county doesn't report percent vaccinated, Billy. It does report the number that have been fully vaccinated (86847), and the total number of vaccines administered (178077). There have been 13176 confirmed cases of CV19 county wide. Census results aren't available for 2020 yet, but for 2019, there were 219186 people here. 20.3% were under 18, so if we take that as the vaccination cutoff, which is not really correct since I think kids over 12 can now be vaccinated( but there's no population data for the 12-18 age group) ,that leaves 174691 eligible for vaccination. Do the math, and 49.7% are fully vaccinated. If you include those that have already had CV19, the "vaccination" rate goes up to 57%, but I don't think anyone is reporting it that way. Using the 178077 number, you might be able to conclude that 81% have had at least one dose of vaccine, but with the J&J vaccine only requiring one dose, it kinda screws up the tally. Any way you look at it, though, there are a lot of people out there that have little or no resistance to CV19. Sounds like the vaccine lottery did some good, Ted, but to me it seems like rewarding bad behavior by giving money to someone that didn't line up for the jab to begin with.

Here's a shot of Lake Oroville I took this morning. It's the only place on the lot that I can actually see water, the level is too low to see over the edge of the canyon everywhere else. The top of the dam is at 900' of elevation, this morning the lake level is 646'. The lowest it's ever been, in 1977, was about 638'. It's dropping at a little more than a foot a day, so in a little more than a week, that record will be broken.

Yesterday I got 600' of wire stretched out and mostly untangled, but it was like wrestling snakes and took all day. Maybe I can get some conduit over it today, but I need to see what's going on with the water delivery first. No word from either neighbor on that yet. I did get a short spurt of water to come down from the big tank yesterday, not really enough for a good flushing of the line, but an indicator that there's a couple of feet of water in it. The hose that allows expansion of the tank is routed up in the air, which is a mistake if I want to use all of the tank, unless I want to rely on a siphon effect. So I think I'm going to install 45° elbows on either end of the hose, and just bend the hose into a lazy U on the ground instead.

I don't think I'll be using the receiver hitch, but one never knows.
Looking at it though, probably could use some gusseting.
Check out the YouTube vids for this pallet forks...one complaint I've heard on more than one of the videos is the quality of the welding. However, for my usage, this item should be OK.
Initially, I was going to get one from Deere...but theirs is about $300 more, plus they're out of stock

I got dad titan hay spears (qa and 3pt) a few years ago. They served the purpose. Wished afterwards I’d gotten the combo hay spear/ pallet forks. I need to sell those, he’s done haying. He already sold the round baler I got him a few yrs ago.
A neighbor is starting to make dad’s hay.

Thought I would never say this but please no more rain less for couple weeks for we need to dry out.

Plans for today...Well this morning start out on the wrong side of the foot Show up to work 5am for 10 hour work day and was met by lead supervisor and we had strong chat,Friday they fire worker for drinking on the job which left 1 full time worker and me that agree to work 20 hours week but working 30 hours week until it's 5 man crew,supervisor said "If you can't work 40 hour week than your assistant is not needed" I ask the supervisor if the owner of the business knew of this action and his reply was "He on vacation and that it was his call he was in charge" hmmm,I said okay and left message for the owner and retreated from the premises...I feel sorry for the only worker for he hard worker nice guy and now I'm little PO.
Today will be official putter day.

I forgot to mention a wasp sting me yesterday while my son was working on the deck light. I went down the steps to look for a screw and the little ******* bailed me under the arm and didn’t want to turn loose. It made a hole the size of a small finishing nail. It was bleeding, I put a paste of msg and water on it with an ice pack. Pain off and on for 3-4 hours and sore as heck.

Happy birthday Randy. A wasp sting you won't forget in a hurry. 69 is still young in my book. I have surprised myself with what I have managed to do the last week. 73 next month. Arthritis is catching up to me in my hands so my two thumbs are sore most of the time now. It makes it difficult picking up small screws and trying to start nuts on bolts. I have a LOT of that to do in the next few weeks. Family offer help but they work and live some distance away so I try not to call on them. Lesley helps me when I need it with lifting but she feels pain too. Luckily she is 5 years younger than me. Prednisolone helps the joints but not good to have at present as it does weaken the immune system.
Still in lockdown here. So glad we live in the country.
This last outbreak was in a school and spread to other schools with the majority of kids being under 10 years old so they are not as immune as everyone thought. Problem is they have taken it home to their families.

I don't think any of our health officials ever said young kids were immune to CV19, just that their symptoms were mostly mild and almost never fatal. That being the case, I never understood wanting to open up the schools to in person classes while the virus is still spreading so rapidly. The kids make excellent disease vectors right back to their families.

Surprisingly, it doesn't make any noise at all... even in the wind. The only noise has been from some small hail hitting it. We have a metal roof and an open underside metal porch roof.... that's a lot louder than the fence.

The scar looks much better than it did initially... it was really gnarly the first couple of months.

I see the problem with the lake now..... there is a big arse rock at the bottom blocking the spring....

My windows machine won’t print and has no sound. I had to rescue it a couple weeks ago due to a no boot problem.
It’s doing an update now. Going to do 1 update at a time.
New computer is on order.

Good evening all. 72F for the start, overcast, light breeze, 1 inch in rain gauge. Light wind with moderate gusts, sky cleared off and high temp was 88F, and not much humidity. Gathered trash, then mowed front, had lunch then mowed back. Phone conference with financial guy, then bike ride. no nap, wife was ready for me to grill brats. Messed with new computer, video capture and cable box not talking yet. Once that is done it is time to migrate data

The great timekeeper/ master scheduler had different plans than mine. Has rained intermittently all day, meaning no mowing.
I did have a major accomplishment, prep of the bathroom doorway/threshold in container.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon. One of our group lives in a Hilo condo. Encountered lady in his building who was recently diagnosed with Covid. Not happy to be exposed and now self quarantined even though fully vaccinated. Condo association not happy either that she was out and about.
