Nice flowers RS. You've really worked hard to make your place look nice.

Thanks Drew.

Still have a very long ways to go ... but making some progress at least.

Saw a lot of blooming daffodils in Virginia, but not here yet.
They are still growing.

Shouldn't be long now ...

Glad you found a car dealer that was willing to take care you.

Happy B'day to your dad, I know it's tough with covid and aging, but I hope he got some good food. Your FIL has a treasure trove of human powered antiques. I've powered one of those clamp on grinders many times.

Mostly, I mostly skied on Connaly, and EP, but I always reached for a Maharajah when I had the chance to.... I couldn't figure out "big people" till I got to the end of your post.

Ron, nice picture. My wifey thought that chipmunk was "so cute".

Wifey and daughter are having some good talks last few days. I thank God for my wife. My daughter is the type of good natured person, that gets easily swayed by "characters" in her life. Nothing horrible, but stuff that she knows better.

Drew, drive careful. How do you like your new ride?

LS, good news.

RNG and TxDon working hard with saws and tractors.

Guys....you might want to do a manly amount of research before you pick up a copy of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition this year. (makes me want to puke).....

ALERT #2
Here's a video which explains a lot of why we get so many scam calls. There are a few very key sentences when he is explaining the racket. They take advantage of good hearted elderly folks. Turns out, much of the problem stems from India. I say we cut off their internet for a month, then if they pay back every dime and punish the racket, we'll think about turning it back on.

Prayers for our team, especially those in pain or worry, and our country,

Very interesting video. Have watched the glitter bomb ones before, but he has gone to a new level. I get multiple scam calls per week.

Wngsprd, I still have not seen our first snake of the year. I'm beginning to wonder if the record 0˚ freeze a month ago sent them back into hibernation.

Randy, is that red thing on the saw horse a corn chucker or a grinder?

Drew I also had to check the potatoes. I now have 57 plants up out of 64 planted. I randomly planted 4 different kinds: Red Pontiac, White Kennebec, Yukon Gold, and Red Lasoda. Now I can say that digging potatoes is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to pull out.

New Lennox furnace installed. High efficiency 96%, two stage and variable speed fan. Cannot hear it run on stage one.

That was a lot quicker than last time.

Drew, you passed close to me on Rt 15.

where you get on Rt15 at I66 is hay market. I have a spruce tree in my yard that a friend who lived there gave me. He didn’t want it in his yard and dug it up by hand, I got it on my trailer. I drove the Leesburg to Frederick section daily for several years.

Wife decided to grow some garden plants from seed this year. Tomato’s and peppers growing good, very few of her flower seeds grew.

Oldest son is taking a new job where he can work remote, so he is looking to move to TN. Next week will be his last, then he’s taking a week of leave.

No word on shots available from any of the places I have registered with.

Taking tomorrow off.

Daffodils and forsythia starting to bloom.

Good morning All.

55 and cloudy right now. It was 53 when the dogs went out this morning. Lots of rain yesterday and last night, estimated 2”. My glass cylinder rain gauge hasn’t gone out for the season yet .

Grass is greening up but don’t anticipate the need to cut lawn for a few more weeks .

Randy- did I spy a red painted hand crank corn sheller in your FIL’s stuff? I sure could use that in the years that we grow popcorn!

I hope everyone has a great day.

Frank

Sure is a corn sheller, I have 86 pictures and that’s just a drop in the bucket.

Hit 79 briefly today, was supposed to get to 74, tomorrow low eighties but very windy.

I cooked a pork butt in the instant pot for dinner, had peas and carrots as well as pintos and mashed potatoes with cheese, I ate small portions, but I still got filled up.

Finally got our last four cushion sets for the deck furniture, we got the others several days ago and the weather covers before that. Also got my new deep, impact sockets and 42 piece bungee set, I was about out of them. I finished up the chair I was upholstering except gluing on the trim.

Guy showed up today and got Ellen’s craft building leveled, one of the supports had sunk in a soft spot after all the rain. Couldn’t open or close the doors before.

Turning in now, hard day on an old dude.

39 right now...high in the mid-60's. Forecast is calling for about ½" of rain. I put my walk-behind spreader (we use it for ice-melt) outside for the rain to rinse it out...I'll do a proper job with rinsing the ice melt out tomorrow.

Coffee is done brewing. 38° with rain this morning. Heading to 58° with rain changing to cloudy skies. So far 1.31" of rain overnight. Woke up to a nice quiet furnace warming up house this morning. Grocery shopping this morning. Then may work on waterfall repair. If hole I dug is not full of water.
Thomas, Red Winged Blackbirds showed up at my feeder yesterday. Robin's have been showing up for over a week. But will not pose for a picture.

Don, the picture you were commenting on was my GGD born on my birthday.

Mostly, getting lots of spam calls also. Glad that my iPhone has blocked all of them.

RS, birdhouse looks good. I have not seen a Bluebird yet this year.

Rich, I have to wear mask at barber when inside. They have a lounge area with distanced seating.

Wngsprd, no snakes here yet this year. Good picture.

Buckeye, plants look good.

David, are Pheasants native to HI.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all. Slept like a rock last night, good to catch up on rem sleep.
Very warm day today, up to 78 degrees with 30-50mph winds this afternoon.
That should be interesting. I see a 26 degree night in the 10 day forecast so not sure about planting more outside, wondering
if I could just throw a sheet over plants for the night.

dealer called and said the cause of my engine running poorly was dirt or something in the gasoline which was flushed out when they took the injectors and coils apart.
I asked them about the fuel filter. Oh, it doesn't have one. huh? Only fuel filter in car is in gas tank, no replaceable inline filters. That sure doesn't sound smart...
Maybe the car knows it's about to be replaced... ;)

Buckeye, you sure live in a pretty area. I'd love to have a fence company near there, one would never run out of business.
My favorites are the long rows of stone fencing, all hand piled, been there a long long time.

I think Spring has sprung and I'm delighted to see it. Might have first daffodils pop today. They were blooming everywhere in VA. Forsythia too, the yellows
of Spring.

Good morning, the temperature is 31°F and going to a high of 36. Wind NNE 14 gusting to 24 mph. Snow, ice pellets and maybe freezing rain in the forecast.

I was going to put the BH on today, I think that is off the table now.

It is funny to me that we will take a shower and yet we don't like working in the rain and getting wet.

Both kittens had found good hiding spots. The gray one came out of his spot at 5 P.M. and the orange one at 9 P.M. Needless to say, they didn't get the big snip.:( I don't want to use the live trap on them if I can help it, but it might come down to that.

Off to the bank at 10 to get the loot out for the rest of the payment on the wood furnace, $2700.oo.

After the furnace deal, then IF it isn't raining or what have you I will put the BH on. If it is raining, then conserve energy.

Have a safe day all

To add to what Ron said, I try to buy fuel at a busy place and preferably name brand. Either Esso or Shell. I use the same routine when buying diesel for the big truck.
I don't worry about it with the Kioti, it runs on HHO right out of my furnace oil tank.
