Good morning!!!!

Knee is doing exceptionally well as far as being able to ambulate around. It is still very swollen and I think that is restricting my range of motion. Last night I had difficulty sleeping not being able to find a position of comfort, and another "new" type of pain was making itself known and not wanting to be left out...

Seems that small issues in relation to the knee keep cropping up.... first it was the medication issue. That got resolved rather easily, only time consuming. Now an issue with Physical Therapy has cropped up... I still have yet to get a call back from the Ortho Surgeon.... all calls supposedly returned within 24 hours.... it's now 32 hours... need to make a pest of myself I guess....

Good news on knee recovery.

looks like storm is on its way out.
Much less than forecast, maybe four inches of wet icy snow.
Shoveled and snowblowed, hit tons of stones but none broke the machine, which was a nice switch.
I'd love to run the machine in soft dry snow but that's not what the last two storms have been like, and
the wet snow sticks to the stones and up they come, ding ding ding whack

Check out how the new Ford hybrid pickups can be used as home generators:
https://www.motortrend.com/news/202...t-hybrid-powering-texas-homes-winter-weather/
I'm very interested in that truck, not for the generator but the 24mpg overall. And 500 pound feet of torque to tow an rv with.
I'd love to avoid going up to a 3/4 ton.

very grey out, almost a little foggy.

I actually just ordered one this morning with the 7.2Kw onboard generator. Ford advertises 24 mpg period... Won't be able to let you know till May. Orders are backed up that far.

It's common here for the custom golf carts to go 35 MPH. I know, I drive behind them in the neighborhood and there is no need to pass them as they are going speed limit.

In MD and NC, LSV’s are limited to 25mph. Those are the only states I’ve driven in them.

Yes what is an LSV?

/ Good morning!!!! #128,229
Low Speed Vehicles ?

/ Good morning!!!! #128,230
I only exchange them when they are out of date. I can get them refilled for half the cost of an exchange.

I do the same, I get mine filled at the gas company, cheapest deal going around here. The check the tanks if they’re close to expiration, so I do exchange them when I need to, it’s cheaper than buying them.

Low Speed Vehicles ?

That was my first thought, but think it’s Legal Street Vehicle. I always say Street Legal.
Lots of non legal go by my house.

Same here, although I got three propane tanks in the garage, and a propane grill I haven't used in two years

Back when we had the RV and dealing with 30lb tanks, plus grilling with the propane grill, the local propane place used to see me on a regular basis

It was about $50 to $60 to swap out one of the 30lb tanks. I could get it refilled for $20. $15 for the 20lb tanks.

Yep, low speed vehicle, they can only be driven on roads with a speed limit of 35 or less except to cross at an intersection. They’re everything from jazzed up golf carts with all the safety equipment and a higher speed, to all ot fancy vehicles, cars and trucks. We rented a six passenger unit on the Outer Banks about ten years ago, it was a lot of fun and would easily exceed the advertised 25 mile range, even full. Almost bought one, then we sold the place down there. And yes, 25 mph top speed, except down hill with a big load, but much slower up the other side.

/ Good morning!!!! #128,238
Got 2 wired nodes of my Unifi network installed and working. Having a problem adding a wireless node. Research I guess.

Had to take break to rescue a firetruck. Seems one of the neighbors had a 911 ambulance call and the small pickup sized truck came with it. Don’t know the details and didn’t ask, but truck was off to side of the driveway. Although a 4x, it was mired. Another neighbor called as his JD is having problems. Drove my LS and took a strap. Couldn’t pull it forward, slightly uphill. Changed tactics and pulled somewhat diagonally and done. That way really tore up some turf but it worked. The 2 firemen were most appreciative. I suggested we may be owed a free rescue, but I preferred not to collect. Shoulda got a pic, darn.

Kyle, we are going to get down to 14ーF tonight. I will gladly send you the extra cold air if you want.:D

mostly, the DIL got in home o2 today.

Way back in 1958 (I was all of 11 years old when I done it), there was no physio therapy for a boogered up knee. I had busted mine in a bicycle race when my bike fell apart. 6 weeks in hospital and another 6 weeks with a full length cast on my leg, but at home. Right from my crotch to my ankle. Done it on July 1. Got the cast off just before my birthday in September. Just bend it they said. A little bit this time and a little more every day. At first it hurt like h3ll, but over time it worked out okay, more or less.
I am a firm believer in the foolishness we did as kids is coming back to bite us in the butt, now that we are older.
