27 going up to a warmer 40 today in clouds

Drew did you forget to tell him when they would be done?
Paul I would have a talk with Drew

now in my mild defense Paul got there a little faster than I thought he would and I had to stop the muffin making
with all the ingredients in the bowl when he got there.
So....next batch I make there will be a whole plate of them with Popgadget's name on them.
He's only half an hour from me, so the muffin man will make deliveries.

Don, yours look mighty good.

Buckeye and the Babes, wonderful pics.

Ted, hope you are doing ok this morning.

Looking4new; [I said:
There is a pot shop I want to check out up there. [/I]

Bill, just curious, what does an ounce of pot cost in Canada?
It's been about 750-800 from what I hear locally, though, and I've never been in one...
the dispensaries usually sell much smaller quantities.

my biggest interest is in edible CBD. It is often very effective in reducing nerve pain. But regular pot has too much
THC and at times can make arthritis pain worse. Plus it smells horribly.
That skunky smell grosses me out.

Extra large cup of hot coffee this morning. 2° with fog this morning. Heading to 21° with cloudy skies. Sewing room is done for now. Going to set room up to scan all my old pictures and film. Got about 3" of snow yesterday. Need to clean that up with tractor. Before next batch falls.
Squirrel telling hawk that branch it's perched on belongs to it. I was not fast enough to get both in full picture. Squirrel won the branch.

Drew, good to have TBN friends.

Popgadget, great repair.

Bird, hope washer will be OK.

Mostly, hope you are staying warm. Bike riding will be back soon.

Buckeye, good pictures.

Rick, good plan for a few days. My parents used a 100 watt bulb to protect the well from freezing. But it would still freeze in this kind of weather.

Riptides, hope visitor did not leave and unpleasant smells.

Thomas, gas prices are doing a slow climb here also. Now at $2.249.

Looking, how far is Sudbury from your place?

DFT, nice gift for wife. Did you find any ammo?

KCY, great area to visit. Been a few years since I made the trip.

Randy, I think Michigan is trying to beat your no days above freezing records. Even though weather underground show temperatures above freezing. My weather station does not show any since mid January. Going to be a miracle if any fish in garden pond survive the winter.

Roy, good report on pump.

Don, I had to do some serious searching for a fire starter so I could start gas logs in wood stove. After furnace stopped. I keep seeing a pack of 4 at Sam's Club when I go there. I need to put them on my list.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good morning
It’s 22 with a high in the upper 30’s predicted with some sort of precipitation tonight.

Yesterday was a busy day. After Drew sent me a picture of the damage to his snow blower, it looked like an easy fix, so I put some persuaders in the KubVan and headed on over.
IMG_5773.jpg
Fortunately the tools scared the auger back into shape.

As I was leaving Drew’s, got a call from the restaurant that a walk-in freezer was warming up, so I headed over there. The condensing unit is on the roof, so I got them to shovel a path and around the unit. Conveniently, it took until lunchtime to get it going.

Then it was back to the shop and continue with the speakers. Got one ready to pack up, and made major progress with the wood work on another.

By the time I looked at the clock it was time to walk over to the house and make dinner.

I’m looking forward to a visit from the muffin man !

We’ve had many Newfie’s over the years, and they are definitely snow dogs. They’ll just jay in the snow and watch the world go by. Here’s an old puppy picture-

Still no word on vaccine.

37 here in SC. Another full day of rain. Went to Ag Supply yesterday and picked up some items for my tractors as well as a hydraulic cylinder that I hope I can use to fab my deck latch on the 20' Frontier FM so that I can operate it from the cab.

Everyone here is sick of the rain. Looks like we may have to deal with it for at least another couple of weeks.

Y'all have a good day.

Ron, I gave my wife a decent new sewing machine she loved and a serger she never used. Always wanted to learn
that skill, like Toppop has. We build and fix things in many different materials, sawing, welding, stitching...
I've paid for new canvas on three boats and that sure gave me an appreciation for someone's neat stitches.
Like a nice welding bead...

So I wonder Ron if you will have a use for the machinery or will that go to grandchildren?
I gave mine away, made two ladies very, very happy.
Including a home made walnut bobbin/thread holder I made.
We might want a new Dewalt or Makita but the missus
wants a new electronic sewing machine with 16 different stitches.

Good morning! 19 now, supposed to get to 27 later. Winter storm warning starts tonight, 5 - 8 inches of snow by Tuesday. The frigid weather has largely been removed from the forecast. Worst will be one night of single digit cold, but above freezing by the weekend during the day.

Did some work making a template for a brake caliper bracket for the Bultaco race bike I am slowly rebuilding. Now have a template, gonna make the first bracket out of a piece of 1/4 luan before cutting aluminum.

Moved some firewood too.

Not sure what today will bring. Might brew some beer when I get back from the grocery run.

Everyone stay safe out there

Drew, good to have TBN friends.

sure is. I started here on a laptop ten years ago sitting in hospital recliners while my wife spent 200 days
in the hospital in last two years, after a dozen operations. Every day seemed to be a life or death event for me,
would she make it til the morning. And my wife was tough and she made it a long time.
And while she slept I became a newbie here. And dreamed of having a farm with orchards.
Which one day I would have.

It's been a full ten years for me. Hope to get another ten.
In my faith we call each other Friends. Can never get enough friends.
Thankful for my TBN friends. Never done this before, am on no other social media.

time to go feed the birds. They are hopping around an empty bench top, looking for seed those
big fat deer took during the night. Same deer that pee and poop on my driveway.

Good morning all

22 now high around 30 cloudy with flurries and light winds today.

Did the usual Saturday dump run and picked up some adult beverages.
Managed to get the rest of my tax documents together and filed, used TurboTax.

Valentines dinner will be steaks, fresh bread, asparagus and mushrooms. (not the funny kind although that might make valentines more interesting)

Thoughts are with all who are dealing with the unusual nasty weather across the country, stay safe.

My wife has an old wood singer sewing machine with the petal you push.

She has an electric one too, But she has no book for it and doesn’t know how it works. Sewing is not her thing.

When I was active in scouts, I picked up my own singer electric sewing machine, because she was always asking people to sew things. So I learned to sew.

Mine’s the one we use now. My wife still has to ask me to thread it.

I kept one sewing machine out of the 3 wife had. Sold serger and sewing table. Son took the other sewing machine. I have enough variations of thread to match just about any color or material. I learned a lot about sewing from my mother. Had a commercial walking foot sewing machine while I had boats. Made my own tops and covers for fishing equipment. Sold it to neighbor. I can use it if I need to do something. The Pfaff machine I kept has over 30 stitches. So I will be doing some sewing as needed. Most of the stuff I cleaned out of sewing room was stuff wife had planned to make things out of.
My next thing to tackle is her collection of purses.
