Good evening all. 74F this morning calm wind, and mostly overcast sky. High temp was 87F, sky became completely overcast and wind stayed light. Bike ride this morning, then lunch, then worked on seat bottom which is done and ready to reassemble. Also napped and pulled more sandburs.

Quite a few leaves are falling this morning, first time I have really noticed a good covering on the ground.
I wouldn't be surprised if crappie were called white perch by those who first settled in America because it reminded them of the European perch, with the dark finger bars down the flank. Maybe they taste similar ? Our perch are delicious too, to me they taste better than trout, though not many people in this country eat them. I can often tell when I've caught a perch as the rod tip will go bang-bang-bang after the strike, then they try to pull away more steadily.

I see you also have a fish called a yellow perch that is in the same Perca family as our perch. They certainly look close cousins.

Silage is basically a fermented feed.
sounds like the cows are eating a kind of hops...does the fermentation have any benefits?

very warm morning, storm has brought a lot of warm air with it but thankfully staying off the coast.
15 to 25mph winds today but no rain likely. Glad I was out watering yesterday. Dug two holes for trees and the
ground was dry.
Am headed out this morning looking for more trees to plant, fall planting time. Still have about 20 unfilled treeline sight barrier holes I dug two years ago, have planted about 90 trees and shrubs and am working on those left.
Need to call Massey dealer and see how he's doing with my tractor. New dealership to me, curious to see how they do.

First cup of coffee has been poured. 64° with some cloud this morning. Heading to 76° with mix of sun and clouds. Looks like the 90's are gone. Sure will be much easier to work outside. Still working on garden pond water fall. Decided to make some modification to rocks surrounding falls and stream. Should finish it today.
Don, a big difference high speed internet makes. My SE downloaded the update in 48 seconds. I do not see any improvements though in some of the features that I had before update.

Good morning all. 61 this morning going to 86. Fog this morning and then sunny. Finely got the door cut for the pantry, still have to cut the baseboard and the bottom 2x4. Had people here all day yesterday so it is a surprise I got it done. Don't know what I will get done today, time will tell.
