Drew .. that heater is not intended for "unvented" spaces. It's for "outdoor spaces. I've got two of them.

agreed, my garage door has a two inch gap on the bottom on one side, and I open a window several inches to get some cross ventilation.
Plus I installed a CO2 alarm in garage. I also open the garage door every hour or so to get a big dose of fresh air in there. Building is uninsulated and leaks
like a sieve...

I'm glad you're taking precautions Drew. There are some propane heaters that don't require venting.

Good to see you back Rick. :)

By the sounds not the type of couple I would look forward to be neighbor of.

Yep .. we've already heard from both of our former next door neighbors. Not happy.

Looking, all the miles I drove on the 400 series highways and other Canadian highways I never got stopped for speeding. When I got on the 401 I would set the cruise control at 62 mph. Every time a car passed me I would hit the button to advance set speed. Some trips I would be doing over 80 by the time I hit western side of Toronto. Still getting passed. :confused2:

For us residents the speed limit signs on the highway are merely a suggestion. For out of Province plates you would be wise to keep it not more than 15 km/hr or 10 mph over.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 48° today. We may hit the low to mid 60s the next two days, followed by rain and colder temps for the weekend. Naturally.

No heat in our chicken coop, Kyle. We decided from the beginning that we would not do that, to give them something of a break during the colder months. However, with 13 hens, we've always gotten at least a few eggs pretty much every day. We did get one egg over the weekend, Saturday, I believe. Most of them will be three years old this Spring, so maybe they're just reaching the end of their laying days a little early.

Nice to see you're still around, Rick. Sorry about your house sale experience. Seems the best bet to get caught up here is to scan through to Mostly_'s excellent summaries each day.

Well... on my plumbing...the guys got everything ID'd and uncovered.

Looks like I need a whole new system. Field area, lines, tank. They are now trying to plot out a new field.

Is disappointing, timing and what not. Add another story to an Old House saga.

Man, the politics and regulations are ---- ugh.

Hope all continue to have a great day!

Yes, but it's silly to waste a day and $75US in fuel to get something that shouldn't be restricted to begin with.

ebay to the rescue. Found an Open Box unit, substantially discounted, free shipping and returns. Now to wait and see if they'll actually send one...

Good morning! , missed a few days, lots to get caught up on.....

My son did a video of the Christmas lights at his house (green and white lights) and our cottage (red and white lights). Here is a link:

Our 2020 Christmas Lights! Merry Christmas Everyone! - YouTube

Needed to do some errands this morning..... spent a lot of time waiting in lines.... 45 minutes at Wally World (at 6:10 am), 30 minutes in line at the PO, 15 minutes in line at the bank.... I am tired of waiting in line..... 5 hours of the day gone already....

I have had intermittent shop time, going out there right now.... I will catch up later!

Down to 31, up to 43 and windy, very wintry feeling. Got the big tree up in the living room, the last of three. There are two more but they are not getting up this year.
I still have shopping to do, kids and grandkids just get cash anymore, don’t have to worry about sizes and colors, but it’s never on sale.

33F and cloudy @ 14:30, headed up to a high of 35F. Supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow, with a high of 43F.

Squirrel feeder empty this morning ... need to refill it and the Moultrie feeder.

Most of yesterday was spent going over the specifics of the remodel, looking at various fixtures, and getting decisions out of The Woman. Being an Air Force brat, and having spent most of her childhood growing up on various bases all over the place - in base housing - she confided that having to make these kinds of decisions were not something she and her family had to deal with ... "We just called maintenance whenever there was a problem ... and they handled it ..."

She decided that she wants to go with the original sink she had in mind for the bathroom, which is totally fine as far as I'm concerned. Also managed to get a decision made on the fixtures for the shower and the sink. Will probably order those tomorrow, assuming I can get a little more price shopping done today at a couple more places.

Got the aluminum flashing for the shower pan ordered and made up another small order for The Depot of various odds and ends, just need to add a few escutcheons for the supply lines.

Also managed to get the old JVC TV moved to its new location and got it hooked up through the new digital to analog converter. Nice to have the larger, better picture again. Still need to finish the configuration on that.

Next big item for the living will be to relocate The Woman's fish tank, so the couch can be moved out of the center of the room over to that wall the fish tank is currently on. She's actually become pretty partial to them, feeds them every day ...

Got the downstairs fish fed, lots of back-logged maintenance to do there ...

Old toilet tank still soaking in phosphoric acid solution, hopefully finish cleaning that up today and start detailing on the bowl and see if I can get that water ring out of there.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...
