Good morning!!!!

Good morning. A nice cloudy 66 with only 82 coming later.

Yesterday's visit to the dermatologist ended with 5 biopsies - 3 for me and two for my wife, and two squirts of the cold stuff....set a new record for us. :( Too many years of sitting on a surfboard waiting for the perfect wave.

Ed, we did our Costco run yesterday, since we were nearby at the doctor, and then our favorite Tex-Mex place. 2 weeks until the Hatch festival.

Don, hope the hurricane slows down or turns around.

Drew, sounds like you need to take it easy.

Took the dogs - Coco and my son's (named Goose) for a hike in the dark this morning...we had our glow in the dark Frisbee and flashlight helping us. Felt good in the damp woods - had a light shower yesterday. Mushrooms popping up. Saw a good number of squirrel-chewed hickory nuts. Eric - sorry you lost your tree.

69 outside this AM. Noticeably cooler. Definite drop in humidity. Guess the pools days are waning. Swelling down, itch persists. Annoying itch too. Big area, not just the stinger holes. Interesting. Like I said, cannot remember when I got nailed this good. To my credit, I did not drop the blower, nor smash through the fence, or stumble, trip or even fall into the pool. LOL.

I hope that hurricane slows up, looks like a monster storm, rain wise.

Here, I cut all the grass, two days ago?, this AM looks like I need to cut it again! Cooler weather and dew does that I guess. Plus, I cut on the high side, I may lower my stuff another 1/2 and see how it goes. Always been the guy with the 4 inch lawn. Helps along the gravel drive and maple roots. I should get bold and go for 3 inches. LOL.

Hope the ailments heal and there is nothing to worry about to the morning crew. Looks like the weekend is almost here.

I am bidding for another job, and will make the presentation in the AM. Just in time for the holidays.

Have a great day all, be safe!

73 degrees going for a high of 85 today. I got up just before 4 a.m. and heard it raining. So I just now went out and poured about 1.75" of rain out of my gauge. That makes about 7.95" for this month. It's sure keeping the grass green.

Good Morning!!!! 73F @ 5:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 94F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Good luck on the bid, Rip, and hope the stings aren't too distracting.

Hope the biopsies come out negative, Wng.

Looks like watches are being upgraded to warnings as Harvey approaches the Texas coast. Likely you're gonna have an uninvited blow hard at the firemen's party, Don.

Got a lot of arc time yesterday, but still not done. Turns out one of the stud bosses in valve covers had been broken out and repaired with epoxy, so that had to be ground down to good base metal and the hole opened up so it could be weld repaired. Lots of crap in the casting, too, so it took several weld/grind cycles to get it all cleaned out and filled up. Then I had to make a fixture for the bowl shaped cover to hold it on the mill for drilling/taping the stud hole. Good thing I hadn't emptied the trash, as I had to fish an old gasket out to help locate the hole.:confused2: Refaced the mating surface on the belt sander, reinstalled the studs, and miracle of miracles, all three studs lined up. Whew! New covers are still available, but they're a hundred bux a pop. On my salary, I can do a lot of welding and grinding for that kind of money.

The new saddlebags showed up yesterday, too. Turns out they came all the way from Slovenia, from a source that never showed up in the Google searches, even though they have a web page. Quality looks OK, though the mounting hardware is unpainted as was shown in the photos. Maybe it's stainless steel? Probably fool around with getting them mounted over the weekend, then get them painted next week.

Off to town today, groceries and check on my "favorite" mechanic. Maybe one more miracle will happen and I'll see an engine on the stand.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Good Morning! Today is decision day on the FF. We will be monitoring the situation closely. (I like saying that.:D) Now it is partly cloudy no wind and 74 degrees.
The sky was red this morning, or maybe it was pink. "Red sky in morn sailor be warned."

Looks like the worst of it will be to the south on the coast, but Saturday's still gonna be wet and blustery for you folks:

The low this morning was 43*, Yesterday high was 69*. We got about a half inch of rain through out the day. Today's going back to the high 70's. With a chance of showers.

Wife is coming back from SLC, I'll meet her in town to do the weekly shopping. Need to pick up a block heater for the tractor I ordered a few days ago. I'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

54°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Forecast calling for sunny and 80-ish all weekend, too. OK, we'll take it.

Had to drive across Missouri yesterday to visit an unhappy customer in Warrensburg, MO. I dislike these visits, but it does help their confidence when the Quality Manager shows up. It was a looooong drive, though. My boss said Warrenton when I asked where, so I said, "Yeah, no problem, I can be there by 9am." When I got the address, it was actually Warrensburg. Uhh ... that's not the same at all. That short drive to the outskirts of St. Louis became a 4-1/2 hour drive to the other side of the state. I did get to have lunch with an old friend from my Wicks Organ Company days, who is now the GM for Quimby Pipe Organs in Warrensburg. Left the house at 5am, and got back to the office at just after 5pm. With heavy traffic, I was home about 6:30 ... 13-1/2 hours and 521.5 mile later.

The bed felt very good last night.

Forecast for that Gulf looks a bit scary sure hope it works out for you Don.

Sears due out this morning for the freezer. Could be interesting.

Decided to sign up for the Dental insurance. Initial 2 months premium is by credit card, thereafter by direct allotment from my retirement.
