Good morning!!!!

Tractor backfired and I assume blew the line off the fuel filter and the electric fuel pump just kept pumping out fuel. Thankfully I was standing behind it or my right leg and foot would have been in the gasoline spray.

That's horrible! Very scary, and good thing you're OK. Something like that could happen to any of us, and we all feel your pain. Hope you're treated well by your insurance company and you come out of this better than ever.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 60° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 78° with partly cloudy skies. Yesterday's cleaning of fence line went well. Except tractor had 2 flat tires. Put air in them. Held long enough to get most of the cleanup done. Need to fill tires again today and put grapple bucket on FEL. Then pick up all the tree and shrub trimming along road fence line. When that is completed I can take tires off tractor and get them repaired. Need to stop at TSC and pickup a few fence post. Tomorrow's project.
Randy, sorry for your barn and equipment lose. Glad no one was injured. Hope insurance gets on it quick. Did fire department show up.
Good Morning All.

Toppop, sincerely hope you can keep your spirits up dealing with the aftermath of that event. At least it is somewhat confined to the outside area. Thank goodness you were there and are OK. Take it slow and try not to get more stressed out getting it all back together.

It's 72 this AM, with t-Storms expected, and heavy rain, starting in a few carrying on through Saturday mid-day. We really need the rain. Had to do a road trip yesterday, so nothing got done around the house. Electrician suppose to show tonight to diagnose the circuit upstairs with the dead GFCI and outlets. All the wires looked good and tight. Replaced GFCI and no joy. Must be something I am missing, duh!

wngsprd, not sure about the moths, we had them about 20 years ago in this area, they sprayed then. We do have a lot of dead trees in the area and on my property, but they are not Oaks. I have wanted to call the extension office about the phenomenon but never got around to it. On my property line, I have about 6 chainsaw worthy dead ones, neighbors have 3 more. Further up the road, same deal. All same species, all never made it to blossom this year.

Have a good day all, enjoy the weekend, be safe!

Good morning all, and Randy, I sure hope your day is better today. So sorry that happened to you, must have been seriously upsetting to watch all your valuables go up in smoke.
And very stressful to deal with the mess... (I'll be your unpaid insurance consultant if you need one...)
the real question is did you have replacement cost coverage on contents.

hard to believe a tractor would burn down your shed. How rude...was this the Simplicity?

I have two ten pound dry powders, a pressurized water extinguisher and a charged garden hose at the barn, but when burning gasoline is flying, oh my.
I'm just glad you didn't get hurt. Very dangerous situation, fire in an area with lots to burn. And your poor house...well, siding isn't hard to replace, and you'll get a whole new house
done if the replacement doesn't match. It's the partial fixes that are always the problem.

Toppop, your beer allowance has been doubled for today.

Riptides, electrician came yesterday and he couldn't diagnose my intermittent outside light either, says lots of problems with LED lights not tripping day/night sensors properly.
They did replace both my bathroom vent fans with Panasonics, oh are they nice. Quiet, more powerful, makes a builder grade Broan look like junk inside.

off to go food shopping this morning, then back to finish weeding some trees and then will put down mulch. Probably will get rained out later.

It was the CUB CADET 3208 my favorite large garden tractor. Well was.
Looks like we are getting several inches of rain in the next two days. Off to eye doc then home to the mess.

We are due for some heavy rain this evening, although it seems we are also getting some very generous unexpected bonus amounts right now. I will be in trouble as it's only 30 minutes since I reassured my wife that it was ok to hang the washing outside and now it's wetter than when it came out of the washing machine.

Sorry to see the charred remains of your equipment Randy. I hope you only lost things that can be replaced by insurance.

toppop,

Wow ... that sucks :( Thankfully your house and garage didn't also catch fire and were only effected cosmetically. Assume no one was hurt.

Dunno, but I'd guess that mebbe some of what was lost had sentimental value ... may your insurance company make you as whole as they can.

75 this morning and headed to 83 today. Thunderstorms off and on all day.

Have a couple of repairs in the chicken coops. But mainly watch it rain.

Randy. Sorry for your loss.
